My character needs red boxers.

The common concern is that dyeable underwear would allow people to choose colors that match their characters' skin tone, in order to simulate nudity.

I wonder how hard it would be to block certain color options.

Or, give a little choice with 10 or so optional colors (of the rainbow) that players can change at will.

I spend much of my game time in towns, safe zones, or pvp, so I hardly concern myself with armor ratings.

I am not asking for bikini armor, but when I roleplay in the hotsprings, I want to be in the board short color of choice.

Not the same pair of drawers I was wearing when I killed Zhaitan.

I like this idea, a base selection of colors is a good start. Maybe even add a more noticeable outline on them to help prevent the "Nude" look or add a simple pattern to the fabric ?

And the common debunk is that several in-game items already do this. Even the newest outfit is sculpted to look like a mostly-naked body and can be dyed as such.

But hey, if you're going to adjust the character creator, don't just stop at dyeable underthings. Take your time, examine improvements and additions that can be made to the sliders for each race, and overhaul the whole thing with a new round of hairstyles, horns, ears, and faces to sweeten the deal. This would be a huge update for a game where fashion is such a big deal to players, and I would put the excitement for it on par with things like new raids or class specs.

Seriously this shouldn't even be an argument since there's such a thing as undyeable channels. Just make those so apparent that there's no way to ignore their presence. Better argument is that they just don't want to mess with the UI to add another dye option for something that is almost never seen in normal game play, like Norn torso tattoos.
