Scorpion Wire needs to be relevant for thief!

Adjust how the wire itself tracks a target. Maybe copy and paste the code that governs spectral grasp, or spear of justice, so that the projectile “locks onto” a target. It can function just how it does, maybe with other tweaks, but this is a common sense buff. If I'm looking away from a target and press the ability, it should turn me around to use the ability like say a reverse Bull's Charge (without a knockdown). Of all the lock on abilities why oh why does Scorpion Wire from the dexterous thief have to be under-powered/played? Please make this ability usable. Thematically it makes sense, and the ability is so much fun as it is but simply ineffective.

  • This skill is pretty much in the same boat as warrior's throw bolas.
    The speed of the projectile is so slow, that even if the target simply moves to the sides it usually misses....

    I would just be happy with it if they would finally fix the pull so it would actually work, instead of getting caught of every +Z axis poly between me and the target. Its been mechanically broken since the games release, which is a shame, since it has such potential as a isolation utility.

    Spectral grasp is the same. You dont want its code believe me. Slow projectile that gets stuck on a rock on the ground.

    Half the time my spear of justice doesn't even fire these days and by the time it does it misses. All the pull lines have been getting crapped on by rocks and other meaningless texture items. Shoot, even j/i fails quite a bit lately.

    Make the thief shout "Get over here!' and then it will be useful

    Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered.

  • I just love that it has lower CD and ammunition :D would wish it did a tad more to the breakbar so one could use it as a usefull breakbar skill:)
    But back in the begining when I used it to pull people down from walls to now, it has seen majpr improvements.
    I just wish it was unblockable and did not count as a projectile :b

    I've gotten so many kills in wvw with this skill.

    Don't stand on walls.

    Would definitely help if the projectile speed was better, but it, just like every other ranged pull, will always be buggy as hell because of terrain issues.

    Honestly, it's pretty good if traited with Trickery. Gives you two minor cleanses, regardless of hit or miss, and pulls your target towards you, or it removes a stack of their stability which you can follow up with another interrupt.

    Is it great at long range? Absolutely not, its horrible, lol. But I've had some success with it in WvW, so the potential is there. All I would do with it is increase the projectile-speed.
