  1. I personally find Chalice of Tears to be the most challenging Jumping Puzzle in the game. Not So Secret is not challenging, it's just terrible content.
  2. "They say we're going into the heart of the Maguuma jungle, that thought gives me the chills". (edit: it's that sort of repetitious stuff that eventually drove me to just play GW2 with the game muted)
  3. I think they were an afterthought. At launch there were guild backpacks and Engineer backpacks, which were not real backpacks but skill effects like the aura around elementalist wrists to show what atunement they are using. There were also invisible backpacks such as the spineguards, which were stats only. Those are the only ones I remember. As I recall it wasn’t until the first holiday that the first cosmetic backpack appeared. So I think that backpacks as cosmetic items weren’t thought of until after launch and by the time people started asking for dyeable backpacks it was too late to go back and re-design without taking too many resources away from the new Living Story they were trying to develop to retain old players and attract new ones. That is certainly possible. It's unfortunate that it can't be changed. In the long run I'm sure it has harmed the sale of backpack/glider combinations (though probably not substantially). I'd still love to be able to have the butterfly wings back piece as a glider skin, with the entire thing being a 4 channel dye item
  4. I can understand why weapons are not set up to be dyed, but the decision process in development that lead to back pieces having no dye channels was short sighted at best. It's as if back pieces were an afterthought to armor.
  5. New Profession Content: no. Anet hasn't been able to handle balancing what we have. We don't need more.New Playable Races: no. no. no. kitten no. It would wind up being a hack job at best, and would leave huge gaping holes in the story, etc. because they would, at best, have to shoehorn in a new personal story segment that somehow is relative, but doesn't require a rewrite of the entire personal story line for all current races so the new race could be included. Tengu is not going to happen. Accept it.New PvE game modes: we have enough of these. We don't need more. New PvP game modes: If an expansion was sold on this, there would have to be some pretty enticing PvE content as well, otherwise I'd not bother buying.New single player activities: This one might get my attention. Changing the crafting system is out though. That's a major overhaul, and while I'd love for a dev to confirm this, I personally see it as impossible at this point in the game.New multiplayer activities: Combined with new single player activities (meaning two selling points), now you have my attention. WvW could be so much more than it is currently.Aesthetic upgrades: Definitely, though apparently dyes on weapons and back pieces are confirmed to be impossible. :(Old content upgrades: Integrating season 1 would be next to impossible without using the fractal system (which isn't a bad idea). You'd need to have zones like Kessex Hills exist in two or three different states at one time. Also, how are gliding and mounts not integrated currently?Technical upgrades : Templates should have been in game when the wardrobe was introduced. This is long overdue.Guild Wars 3 announcement: Completely irrelevant to GW2 expansions. The most important thing for me in an expansion is still maps. I want to see and explore new places. Path of Fire was an incredible addition in this respect, though it has it's annoyances (would like to see a Brandstorm mastery line that allows you to build up resistance to the effects) Exploration is the biggest selling point for me. The second biggest selling point for an expansion, would be QoL and Polish on existing content (with more emphasis on fixing things and adding features, not on balance).
  6. You have to be patient on the responses, and they may ask you for some proof and such, but they'll get it resolved. I've had them return deleted items, as well as replace items (crafted the wrong gift for a legendary one time). In spite of delays and other issues I've had with Anet, they appear to take lost items seriously. Just takes some time.
  7. Lots of great ideas and incredible art. I love the idea of more zones that have alpine mountains similar to what is in Bitterfrost Frontier (but perhaps with not so much snow). I would propose swapping the elites for Mesmer and Elementalist in regards to the weapons. Mesmers already can use pistols, so the idea that they would potentially upgrade to a rifle flows well, just as the elementalist, classically shunning "technology" would flow more into the longbow scenario. Either way though, the suggestions are great.
  8. I tend to not notice any of the legendary weapons I have when I am in group combat. Even The Dreamer and Quip can get lost with all the combat noise. What I notice the most are the swap-too/wield effects, the footfalls, and so on. When I'm solo and in combat against trash mobs and such, the effects are more noticeable, but even then there are a few of them that just don't stand out at all. For example, other than the footfalls, I notice nothing about Kudzu. There is more floral action going on with a druid using a staff. Frenzy has some great wielded effects, but you have to be zoomed in a bit to see it, and since we don't walk under water, no foot falls. You have to look for the little fish effects when you are in motion. On the other end, I would say the ones I notice the most are going to be HOPE and Eternity. Eternity not only has the footfalls, but the blade effects are hard to miss, even out of combat. HOPE has nice footfalls, but isn't noticeable out of combat (which is fine). It's in combat effects are great though. The glow on the arm when using it, along with the visual and audio effects make it stand out more than others, but, again, in small-group/group/zerg situations, it just gets lost in all the other "noise".It's fine that in group settings that the weapons are not as easy to notice. The fact that they have all the effects going on has actually added to the visual noise issue.People have been asking for visual improvements to Kudzu for a long time (years), so I am doubtful anything will ever be changed with it. With the newer weapons, and some of the gen1, they do tend to hide. I know I've noticed other players who have The Bifrost, or the Juggernaut, but I can't say I've ever seen a player who has The Minstrel, or The Shining Blade, etc.I'm not saying they all need to be made more noticeable, but I do add this as another reason I support having titles associated with having crafted these weapons.Currently the "prestige" of having a legendary is more likely to only impress the owner, not other players. I think Arenanet has failed a bit here with their idea of legendary weapons, in that the draw of owning one doesn't exist if people don't know they exist at all.
  9. Healthy for Guild Wars 2? I guess.Healthy for a game that has the chance to do something else (as in, if it is in development)? No. It's a cheap workaround to having to deal with deeper economic issues and how to keep players occupied and playing the game, but in the long run causes a rat's nest of potential problems.
  10. Taking my statement back for now.. going to see where this goes.
  11. This is the standard method for obtaining the majority of the content, unfortunately.
  12. Rest assured, if Arenanet finally adds something that will deal with excess essence of luck, it will probably only consume the lowest level (fine). Anything else would just make too much sense.
  13. The laptop my wife uses for GW2 was having some issues, so after the manufacturer replaced some parts under warranty, they also re-installed the OS (windows 10) and drivers. When we got it back, she installed all the programs that she normally uses, including Gw2. I don't know if it is a bug, or an option that I cannot find in the Gw2 options menu, but while her mouse cursor on Windows 10 is set up to use the system default (normal size), her mouse pointer in Gw2 is huge. Like... if you put the pointer over a characters face at the character select screen, it covers the entire face. This appears to be limited to Windowed Fullscreen mode, as other modes don't have this issue. All Windows 10 settings are default for mouse pointers, etc.It may be a bug, but I wanted to check first to see if it's a known issue, or if it's an option somewhere (I'd love to set my pointer to be large like that. Much easier to see when in combat).
  14. Charged lodestones were over 6g a piece a year ago at the time AFK farming took an upward trend. It does effect the economy.
  15. After 6 years and having had 2 specializations added to the game, I just cannot get into the Engineer class. I did world completion on one (pre HoT), and that was quite a struggle. Revenant is 2nd on the list of least enjoyed in my time in game. Favorites are Ranger, Necro, Thief.
  16. I'd like to see this, but would also want a checkbox that let's you tell the system that you want a separate keybind for a given character, that way new characters default to the standard bindings
  17. RNG isn't that bad, I mean hey, I got Stardust for the 300th time last night. :/
  18. Of course it would be annoying, why do you think people want them? I agree with Ashen.2907 - make them 2000gems per skin.
  19. I just want harvesting tools to harvest until the node is done.
  20. They are saturated, yes, but, for lack of better example, Phthalo Blue is really saturated. But it's also darker. The colors I mentioned in my original post are not only saturated, but have a higher level of intensity as well. There may be an issue with green involving the environmental lighting as well, though most of what I've been looking at is in the preview window. A green may be brighter, but then lose that brightness due to other surface/material settings for a given armor skin. I'm not really a big fan of green personally, but I came across this oddity while trying to find a good Chartreuse for the crystal tips on a branded mount skin.
