  1. I literally just did after 437897 tries as a Reaper (stupid short range) and I did straight from the fighting point, not going through all the chapter.
  2. Better, multiple backgrounds that change based on the story the character currently is: beige for LW2, gree for HoT, reddish (?) for LW3, brownish (current) for PoF, purple for LW4 and an icy-blue for TIS.
  3. Perhaps it's the beginning of a change to not hand over PvE stuff so easily
  4. Because of the excess of visual aggressiveness, I was forced to deactivate Post-processing which made everything look darker, in all maps. I didn't test on this map in particular, but if that's really the case, I can only guide myself during meta by using the mini-map because everything is too dark and the HUGE snowy border don't make it anything easier. Achievements-wise, while I'm still sad that WvW'ers can get the mastery reward with a single track while we, PvE'ers, as much as I understood, are time-gated (weekly-cycling strike missions' legendary bosses), I'm glad it's MUCH less than the Prologue. I just wish you stop making content for ranged players — e.g. Ice Try achievement, for example, as a Reaper is very hard. I tried 3x and finished the combat WITH the eligibility effect but I still don't have it (and had to wait the long ending cutscene after every attempt). On the Mechanics subject, the rock-paper-scissors thing is interesting, although kind of hard to memorize to me. But they're only really useful if aiming the "gold" chest of Strike Missions with PUGs and the "recharging time" is too long to be of any usefulness (I guess only the passive effects can have some - small - impact). Without it, mobs just take a bit more time to die (shrug). There are a few bugs here and there, like floating mobs and NPCs getting blocked by visual effects (o.O) but I believe those can be rectified in time. But I'm not only of critics. The change in Roller Beetle was much appreciated. Not having to use Bond of Vigor all the time is very nice — even though the mounting cooldown for it is more than 4x longer now (<_<).
  5. For the sake of the story, what if she had fallen to the Voice and attacked whoever buried her?
  6. What was good incoming in past shouldn't be good forever. I'd totally support idea #3
  7. When I started playing as a Reaper, I suffered a lot with this. Our Shroud Skill #4 is one of the strongest non-DoT skill we have, but if you press it and get knocked back, you're doomed. In time, I learned that Shroud Skill #3 grants stability for roughly the same amount of time as skill #4. Since I started using it whenever skill #4 was available, I never had this issue again. Now flying creatures... ugh
  8. As long as ArenaNet make it better and less expensive than Elder Scrolls Online's Hearthfire, I'd totally support this. I don't know as of today, but back when I stopped playing, we couldn't add custom mannequins (it's a TES fetish, don't judge XD), no additional storage containers, every craftable piece was an RNG-locked recipe, houses had a max-limit for placeable objects and so on. It was pretty much a very limited Sim City you could build and show to your friends.
  9. Harpies on Steroids from PoF that can kill you in a blink and Branded Griffon that evades, evades and evades some more.
  10. I'd like that, as long as the armor rating of the extra piece doesn't count towards overall armor value
  11. IMHO naming this game "Guild Wars 2" was something reasonable back when the game was launched, but today it is not. It only serves for "zillions" of topics like this or speculations about something that shouldn't happen. I see GW2 more like a constantly expandable game, with more and more features and regions added with newer updates. Pretty much how it is in Elder Scrolls Online. If something as a "GW3" could exist, I think it shouldn't be a different game, but a restructuring of this one (mainly in terms of engine, structure and such) known simply as "GW", without version numbers, to it we could move our characters and live to fight another day.
  12. Yeah, I fill my PoF bar twice every day in... what? 3h of gameplay, perhaps. It's easy :D
  13. Although I'm not a long-time player I did have my share of encounters with these disgraceful bots and AFK farmers. This pisses me off and I sure report them, most of the times in-game but when the situation becomes outrageously offensive, I open a ticket. Arena Net might do something against them at times but not as often as they should, rendering us, the "good samaritans", grasping the hope of an intervention indicated by a copy-and-paste "you may not hear of us about it". Alright, that was a bit dramatic XD Today's day started just terrible for me. While I was in the Labyrinth getting a few bags for personal use, after all, money come and go and this game is not a "second job" (so I don't sell them), there were three bot users or at least AFK farmers (maybe a multi-box user? I don't know, I don't care) in the same instance sitting at specific spots with a relatively high concentration of enemies around the central area. All Reapers surrounded by as many minions as possible. :( I reported and blocked them but I wanted more. I wanted personal revenge for them being one of the many responsible for Reapers being such a poorly developed class with very weak DPS peaks if compared to other classes. As one of them was around Rebels and Ranger Skeletons, I positioned myself near him/her drawing enemies towards me and had his character being pushed behind one of those... mausoleums? His/her minions followed thus getting out of enemies' sight. It was the best 90mins of solo farming I had because I managed to reduce his/her incoming by at least 90% It's a shame, really. Such a great game at mercy of cheaters, getting richer and richer by manipulating the market with fraudulently acquired loot. But I know that today I could smile every time I passed by this person. >:)
  14. Could also allow them to be mailed to other players (not sell). There are players that could use some more luck (me, me, pick me! XD)
  15. Today morning (here) I was approached by someone in Thunderhead Keep who asked for someone experienced in the map. Although I'm not someone who's been playing the game for years and years, I run Thunderhead Keep daily, getting almost everything on my path. It happened this person seems to be a bit more thorough than I am and showed me a regular Mithril Node underwater, down below one of the ice holes south of Revolution's Heart Waypoint — https://i.postimg.cc/X7G8jxhW/gw079.jpg In this screenshot, I'm hovering the node icon on the mini-map showing the closest I could get to it. Swimming a little bit up already shows the green arrow indicating I should go down but as much as I could search, it's all solid ice without a secret entrance like many Quaggan Caves with frustrating to find POIs. I swam down all other holes around this one, expecting to see a longer cave entrance that could lead to this node without success. The only thing I've found was a small Seaweed Farm. So, in short, how to mine this node?
  16. Similar to the one pictured above, there's another one all the way to the west, contrasting with Shiverpeaks Pass' wall. I've got this one is by being present at the start of the event (platforms still had blue circles) so I could choose my platform before they start moving. I've picked the one closer to the west and shot the target before the spinning movement.
  17. As someone with not much money in my wallet with an underdevelopment home instance, yeah, the cost was too high for something with little return. I could understand the inflation factor mentioned and the nerf if compared to other nodes, but being unable to eat the peppers to recover the Volatile Magic invested (and maybe have some profit, as there's nothing else to buy from Pepper vendor) is harsh, speaking in a long term.
  18. If Sniper has room for improvement, serving drinks has a ton of rooms to improve. Sniper takes time, yes, but it's easy. MUCH easier than Shooting Gallery from verdant Brink which, I believe, is the base for it.
  19. Personally, I despise PvP. I heard the PvP community is extremely toxic and once, while using Obsidian Sanctum as a shortcut to Lion's Arch, I've got horrified by the language used by them. Still, Reward Tracks are the only way to get Gift of Battle. I know most of you don't care about stuff that requires this, but I'm just 6 months old in this game and I would like to have Gen I Legendaries and I can't (physically) or won't (morally).
  20. I would like to be able to deactivate everything superfluous to my gameplay. I would love to maximize my graphics settings but I can't because if I do it's a hell of a lag. Not to mention the visual aggressiveness of a big Charr with enormous wings blocking the line of sight of my tiny Asura in a JP. If this is already possible, I don't know how I could do it.
  21. The real kick in... right down there, you know, it's not even the meta, it's the new emote WvW can get in a relatively easy way while everyone else has to do no 10, not 20, not even 30 but 54 achievements! I've got mine, it looks great until someone tells me that.
  22. It's an amazing event, even though I'm not a fan of this kind of music to a point the only thing that comes to my mind when I listen to the charrs singing is One Punch Man's intro XD
