  1. No more than a vindicator being forced off target by a mechanic, being a spec with 2 melee weapon sets. Harbinger is by far the most flexible dps elite spec of the EoD bunch, followed by Specter and Virtuoso. There's a reason why scourge was rather good in 100CM as well, and it wasn't just the epi. Being able to keep up DPS while having to do spread mechanics and a boss flails around (Hello Soo Won champs phase with the mage and svanir champs; hello Mai Trin strike and Minister Li strike).
  2. The oversight is trying to force Virtuoso to function as a condi spec when mirage is a perfectly good condi spec and Virtuoso should be the dedicated power spec while chrono the support.
  3. Don't worry, Anet waited for another spec to have pets to give Mechanist what Ranger should have had from inception ;). When the pet profession is far worse than the new pet elite spec.
  4. PoF is leap and bound above in visual design. People diluting it into "different deserts" are dimwits talking out of their kitten. Elonian architecture was the best architecture the game ever brought in. PoF is just what EoD's future looks like because Anet refused to make the core PoF maps and metas rewarding or engaging, and made a bunch of poorly rewarded spread out events that don't properly tunnel player density like HoT did.
  5. They need to pause the timer on her intermission phases where she goes invuln. This is ridiculous. You can't control what quality of people you get in your maps, why are we justifying this difficulty in totally random content? For 7+ years you've taught your players to run useless builds and suddenly expect them to be competent berzerker's/viper's users.

  8. When Harbinger's core weaponset while being a high octane DPS spec with plenty of CC an d built in boon strip is ranged. But Vindicator does 1-2k DPS less while being a purely melee spec with no meaningful PvE utility. Need to be in melee range to land the dodge, and since greatsword's DPS is abysmal outside casting GS5, you need sword/sword to camp on after casting GS5 to not do garbage DPS.
  9. Massive fps drop on high end computers, can't see crap in all the vomit of other people's vfx because despite almost 10 years of being out as a game, anet has yet to introduce battle effect filters for other players.
  10. This xpac is just another WoW Shadowlands, where the devs discard the importance of class experience and class gameplay systems thinking players will be satisfied with just content. Then they'll bleed players left and right because they refuse to realize that class gameplay balance and experience is the primary interface to the game a player has. Doesn't matter how much content you put out if the classes you play the content with feel awful to play.
  11. Energy Meld needs to have no cast time, provide vigor, and block for 2 seconds or grant aegis. A single dodge on a spec with barely any vigor access is ridiculous. By the way, Spear of Archemorus, our elite, costs three times the energy of GS2, does barely any damage, has a long kitten wind up, does not cleave, and has a longe cooldown to boot. How you allowed this ability to go live this badly tuned is beyond me.
  12. I'm a vindicator and the vindicator NPC in dialogue talks to me as if I wasn't even a revenant, some clueless other class instead.
  13. Energy Meld should give a 2 second block/distortion like effect and apply 5 target vigor+quickness/alacrity. It should have no cast time. It's hideously awful at the moment with a 1/2 sec cast time, half a dodge refund, 10 energy cost, and 20 sec cd. Vindicator will need some other manner of avoiding damage since the DPS spec requires you to use the dodge for a DPS gain.
  14. Developers don't read these forums. Look at the latest post history of any class developer. Nonexistent. They send some CM to comb through threads for them, even though these CM's are not remotely qualified to discern meaningful class balance and design feedback. I do mots of these CM's even raid or do fractal CM's.
  15. Revenant has the same skill animation with lack of visual effects in 3 of its 5 skills. It's first autoattack and skill #2 look the same, and don't even have meaningful class flair swing effects like guardian, mesmer, necro, or thief for example when you look at their blade swing effects. Just compare sword/sword and even hammer or mace/shortbow to greatsword and you'll see how incomplete visually greatsword is as a weapon. Greatsword 4 2nd part has the same swing animation as the second part of the autoattack chain. Have fun wasting your single dodge with no good self source of vigor or waste your energy to get 50 endurance back in any encounter like Qadim1 or Largos, or Dhuum or Horror, or Matthias, or Deimos, or CM fractals. Horrible design.
  16. Reaper hasn't been fixed to be a competitive power DPS spec since its release in HoT, and Scrapper only recently became relevant 5+ years after its release. It's stupefyingly naive to expect them to fix their classes. Herald hasn't even been a thing in GW2 PvE outside some gimmick comps. Deadeye only saw the light of day in Qadim 1 & 2 niche roles.
  17. They ignored pretty much all feedback of the second beta. Don't ever trust them to value player input in their design. The fact they don't have a public test realm and push out patches without iteration via player feedback tells you everything you need to know about their design practices.
  18. Or, we can stop trying to force Virtuoso to fill the condi dps niche that mirage already fills, and develop it as a proper power dps class while chrono gets fleshed out as the support spec.
  19. lol when at the beginning story quest, one of the masters asks you to use 3 combo field actions, yet Vindicator has access to none. Peak development design. This expansion is the Shadowlands of GW2.
  20. No changes to animations whatsoever. Minimal, if any gameplay or balance changes to the specs themselves. Why do you keep opening these feedback threads and make players believe you remotely respect their input when you promptly toss it all in the garbage bin and implement no changes whatsoever from a beta done six months ago?

  22. The Greatsword #2 still looks the same as the autoattack chain #1, virtually nothing about the greatsword lack of unique animations addressed. Half assed expansion pack. Shame on your development practices.
  23. lol, they can't be bothered with not making Harbinger any less garbage than power reaper in PvE, which is already a meme pathetic spec in PvE. So they made sure these specs become a total joke so it looks like Harbinger is remotely attractive. I can understand the epidemic change, but the durability nerfs to a profession with no viable access to vigors, stability, blocks, regen, or protection and unable to receive healing in shroud is such abject proof of the total ineptitude of their class balance team.
  24. Thief doesn't need to be any better in raids than it already is. The hardest raid boss in the game is already where thieves shine.
  25. Powerblock doesn't even do the amount of damage impacting disruption does over a fight anyways, that guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
