  1. No cause their theme is a sniper but the gameplay is about clicking on you and then landing a projectile there is no aiming involved. Forced camera with aiming reticle for them i say. If i have to aim with Reaper of all professions (Executioner's Scythe) they will need to have aiming as well. How can you have sniper that doesn't have aiming gameplay is beyond me.

I wonder sometimes if people in wvw use all the tactics possible, roaming is dead apparently, bullshit zerglings just ruin it for everyone else cause all they think is about flipping castles and how the mount ruined their zerging, but no one made a havoc squad filled with rangers and de to pick off the so called reinforcements. But the zerglings are the largest part in there and the rest left cause everything is made to cater to the zergling and the more niche parts are abandoned. Part of the issue is on arenanet with how meaningless it is, but most of it is on the people how was it called, "optimizing the fun out of the game", it is so optimized that people just don't want to enter. All in all WvW is worse PVE Loot train these days.
  3. For the mount part only for GvG 10v10 reworked stronghold large map. And the mount has to be llama that spits salty loogies.

The only way i think they can implement more races is through the LW and the story of the episode is a flashback of events long past like the Caithe S2 , where the new races start and do the missions as their starting story. So we get the map for everyone some new story steps for everyone and we reuse it so there is no wasted time on more development and on top of that we get new models ( that would probably mean that the episode will have delay like the ones with mounts, but if they teaser trailer it will be ok) .

Do you want monthly user fees to replace certain gemstore items, so then you can get them for "free" in-game? You should easily be able to pop off a list of better mmo monetization models, since this is your "industry". "Since i work in that part of the industry and i know how the sausage is made"... back it up then.I'm not getting payed for that, but you can check my posts some ideas got implemented, which is nice.You seem to be really pissed that i work for mobile gaming company, all i said is that they are pitching their tent in that area which is not a great idea for large games even large mobile ones.

  7. If only most builds were not cheese that hits multiple times under 1 second condi or power while you are channeling 3/4 ability. They really should reduce the speed of the game cause it is no longer about being careful what the other guy would do and you to react, it is all about who has the better quick draw . I would like the game to be more like fighting game than a wild west shooter.
  8. And yet i can smell that smelly smell of mobile game design. Now that i think about it the khan ur helmets seem like something that is done where i work to get more people to shell out cash for potentially worthless things that are artificially hard to get. My concern here is that this is way too obvious and lazy implementation and if people don't poke and prod about it, the design goal post will be moved little by little in a worse direction with the excuse that is "how it was working from before".
  9. There are 9 helmets bound and one box in the TP at this moment. The whole thing is a bust, maybe adding it to once per day at a specific location at a abysmal drop rate isn't such a great idea. Don't pull me "but it is glory thing" it is pure RNG, and the way the achievement is implemented it seems to be that it should be easier to get, but at the same time it is made to drop like chak egg sack x 3 times. On top of that it looked like a way to people playing char something nice but nooooo RNG grind with impossible odds, fuckers are not worth 4 legendary items per helmet.
  10. Since i work in that part of the industry and i know how the sausage is made, some design choices have me worried. Usually i ignore them but after the lay offs things got little bit more pushy with the "Macro" transactions and the design of some content like the Skyscale unlock(bland, boring and unimaginative for the most part like most mobile game practices) and now with build templates (looks like copy of a mobile game feature the only part missing is charging for changing builds, don't get any fucking ideas from that). I don't think GW2 could survive a mobile game flop for pushing too hard. In the mobile space you can always reskin, recycle and reuse a flop into something "new" and it can be churned out quicker, not so much in the PC. Even in the mobile space you don't push way too hard on your crown jewel game that is in the public eye.Now that MO is out and Chris Corry will oversee NCSOFT west and from what i read his experience is in the mobile space from Kabam, that puts some doubt in the future of the game.

Really hope the Norn Scalds like the great Bodmodr Svartkelson and his majestic stash pull some Norn Metal ala Amorphis/Korpiklaani and we get Battle of the bands kind of deal event.Also any Idea who are the people behind Metal Legion, the vocals and texts sound sound something like mash up of Slayer, Amon Amarth and Sabaton with the chant , growl and military thematic, but the instrumental sounds more groovy like Pantera and Annihilator. Dethklok comes close but i'm still not sure.
  12. I bet it is scheduling thing, it is made somewhere around summer months so Sam was one of the VAs that had some time to spare. Maybe next time the devs will play more with voice modulation to get more variety of NPC chatter.Even though it somewhat sounded that Braham was everywhere the chatter adds great atmosphere like a moving world. Also grats on Sam Riegel voicing most of it and still nailing Braham.
  13. It is perfectly Ok if you know each other and both parties know it just for fun. It is not ok if it is a stranger cause chats are not good at conveying word play, so it is not cool to be a cunt to people you don't know. There is the exception that if the person is annoying you have the right to annoy him.
  14. Don't you need Gift of Battle for legendary? Is there a work around? Let me knowEnter WvW do the dailies get the pots exit. A lot of times you don't even see enemy players.

Why are all focusing on the do some pvp thing i was talking about collection thing or something like the backpack or some special event to unlock pvp armors and weapons, infusions. novelties like the pose thing. You get your usual LW Quests and on top of that some PVP quests unlock with the episode even a special boss event where it is controlled by people like in Evolve in A PVP MAP.The whole point is to make a map and use it in multiple modes or part of it. A story instance that can be morphed into an arena so it is not in "beta" for years.And no i don't want PvP in PVE i just want to reuse some resources for PvP and WvW, cause i think this is the only way to get some layout changes to make it feel little bit fresher and maybe fix some problems in the layout in WvW.You know that Anet doesn't go back to old places if they don't have something connected to the new content.
  16. Maybe one of the LW episodes should come like PvP update some story then it sends you to do some pvp stuff. Open world map with story that is somehow copied as WvW map in the mists and part of it is cut out floating in Spvp as 2v2 3v3, conquest , reworked stronghold map anything really. The spvp map could be like a mission from the story like defend the lord, kill the bad guy and in pvp people take the place of NPCs that attack or defend.Since every time i see them add cool boss in the story and i say to myself that would have been cool raid/dungeon/fractal and felt like such a waste, but now with strike missions they do have addressed that nagging feeling.Some of the words they used seem like WvW and Spvp are done deal and that rubs me the wrong way.Do you think it would be cool if they reuse the map in multiple modes so it doesn't waste manpower and still update parts of the game?EDIT: Since people don't want to read the whole thing.THE STORY DOES NOT NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO THE PVP TO BE PROGRESSED, but there should be pvp wvw related story like the warclaw or the legendary backpack with stuff to do in the modes.

If only Anet put some ou i don't know special bundle like Valve does for Dota2 , where they say this money goes to development of this and that or that tournament with a goal post like Kickstarter. Then again it is probably little bit too late for that since most people that cared moved on after years of neglect.

The only way that Bull rush can be properly implemented as what is supposed to do without evade is to make a special buff Unstoppable where for there duration of the rush the warrior can't be stopped slowed, crippled, immobile or chilled and what ever cc you can name that removes control and has reduced damage taken from all sources, this makes it so it can be weakened or blinded. Everyone suggesting stability when pressing the button knows it will do fuck all, the whole point is that a Rushing bull can't be fucking stopped. From a developer point of view, making it evade is way easier to implement than making the overcomplicated special buff that would probably bug out constantly.And for those complaining for that one gap closer on warrior that works that it is horizontal ability that has long telegraph compared to other professions with instant teleport sometimes 2 or 3. They could nerf the damage in SPVP so it doesn't murder people when i crits.

OP missed the CC conditions , the so called cover conditions ha, most of them are the real killer, you manage to clear the burns, confusion and torment but that 1 minute 30 cripple somehow is still on you and guess what you get steamrolled by something or the damage conditions are back on you. The fun part is that they stack on top of each other, hard cc doesn't stack if you are stunned for 3 seconds but someone knocks you down for 1 you are out of the stun, but you can still layer hard cc with "soft" cc the nightmare combo immobilize into stun.
  20. That like many suggested would be cool WvW event. First people enter something like Capped number of people area like the Tarrir pre meta events but with GvG teams and then with the who will drive the beast event. So you get a wyvern, earth elemental, warbringer, hydra all the cool big bosses and use it to push castles. Castles might have player controlled legendary champion(upgradable of course and only usable inside the castle) instead of the NPC that gets blow up in seconds.Imagine a battle between wyvern and giant construct knight statue in Stonemist Castle.
