  1. 400 a second. A heal is usually 20-30s cd. 30 x 400 = 12,000 i think? So the possibility is ok, however 400 is a lot more than 10% per hit (or 5% i think the trait is) as normal hits average 2-3k i think. And take longer than 1 second to hit, if we take the 3k dmg, = 150 healing a second per foe. If this assuming you hit 2 foes per strike (approx 150-200 a second factoring in attack speed idk the exact maths by heart) is what anet believes it “too much survivability” I sadly think double that is to them also too much, HOWEVER if we factored in gravediggers 30k or so thats 1500 maybe which is nice but again 2 or so seconds, blah blah , overall nice “idea” however current is actually weaker on average so if you buff it (and by proxy make it healing power effected) that would make anet even more likely to say necros live too long. (You’d tjink on the Vitality 2x health bar caster they would WANT you to survive, since you do lower damage than other casters) Well the old gs trait was healing 200 per second and gave 2% LF in combat, the rework felt worse and the only reason it was better was the heal in shroud since the 5% heal from out healed for around 50 to 140 hp and the necromancer doesn't have really that great weapons to use with this trait. GS is too slow for the trait in pvp and the trait is somewhat useless in pve since the time it can be optimal, when the boss is under 50% hp and gravedigger is spammed with all the boons you are healed by the support.I checked other leach and options on necro and they are horrible, dagger leach is worthless 400 per hit, signet the same, passive the same, they are just dps increase.They don't want the leach to be good, the only option to keep your hp up is the shroud but it is on 10s cd, so it has to be supported but it can't be supported that well cause the shroud, too many draw backs for little pay off. I enjoy it, when once in a while stars align and you get to the the play where you kill the whole opposing team, but outside of that i feel like i'm handicapping myself.I know that people left and were laid off and starting idea was probably forgotten, but can they have idea what the main goal of the elite specialization, what makes it special, not the gimmicks and the flashy stuff but the practical effects, what is it good at and why would anyone take you in a fractal, raid or pvp over someone else.

I think they messed up with the -300 vitality on scrapper they should have returned it with one of grandmaster traits that doesn't help help the most, so like berserker where you have to pick the damage buff but get wrecked or the defense buff and lose the damage. If anything the -300 vitality should have been on holo since its whole point is being burst damage speck, but it has really good defenses. I think people that played scrapper in pvp might move to the prot holo build since it might be easier to play vs the scrapper that seems to require effort to play. Or i'm wrong and someone makes some broken build again and everyone suffers for 3 to 6 months.

Maybe buff the other supports, better auras for tempest, some boon removal on ventari, more group oriented scrapper gyros which are work better with people and are kinda bad solo so no brain dead bunkering, rework on druid so its more teamfight oriented instead of being a brick on the side node, maybe turn the pet into celestial when entering the mode so you get conduit rotating around you for better support stuff.The problem here is that the classes don't have defined role while Firebrand has and everything else is bad in comparison, maybe the other stuff should do 1 special thing that makes them better then the rest.
  4. I think it would be nice, not sure how it will break scourge though, but for reaper and core it might make them more self reliant. Maybe it should scale from power based stats or defensive and most certainly not from condition based ones. Necro needs some better power based elites since i don't think anything comes close to Ghastly Breach.What do you think?
  5. Listen to this idea what if you get set amount of healing 200 hp per hit with icd of 1 second in melee range when wielding GS you get double the effect.
  6. Can you point out other examples of everyone gets stunbreak in the adept? Off the top of my head i cant think of more than 1 or 2 at best. Unstoppable union being one of them.If i recall most stun breaks traits are in the master slot ;) and these days some of them dont even break stun anymore.Well apparently https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Stun_break almost every class excluding necro.
  7. This makes no sense at all. First off, your base assumption of having core specializations balanced with elite specializations already makes balancing more complex. Currently core specializations are not being balanced for (yes, there is 1-2 which work, but in general elite specializations replace core for their respective role). Meaning most classes need to get balanced around 2 elite specializations. Increasing this to 3 (core+2 elites) is already more work. Now you could argue that core and elite specialziations should not vary in power, but that is a different issue and definately a lot more complex and difficult to achieve then what we have currently. Second, you increase the base amount of weapons which need to get balanced instead of keeping certain weapon combinations impossible. The math makes no sense here. Increasing the amount of variables one needs to balance around makes things harder, not easier. You argue that this would get countered by the ease of balance because now weapons would not be needed to be so powerful because they are not exclusive to elite specializations. Most elite specializations are superior to their core builds not due to weapons alone. They are a part of the factor. Suffice to say this has been brought up in the past and usually most people have never actually considered what certain elite weapons being available at all time means. My favorit is shield on Mirage by the way. The net result is a lot more balance put on the traits and utilities while ALSO now balancing for a larger pool of core weapons. That is nuts. Should we ever get a 3rd elite specializations I fully expect core builds to become completely irrelevant, as it should be balance wise. Everything else is beyond impossible to balance for.I think when they add 3rd elite speck they can make each one focused to specific strength of the class, so when used with the co-responding cor traitline it makes the class good at single defined task with some upgrades.Every time they ad specks they make it do everything since its the new toy and all, but for example if they made scourge support support and not amalgamation of everything it would great but it would leave empty space for condition speck, since they moved reaper to be power type necromancer, so the next one could possibly make way to clean up the current elites.That leaves core not that great, but i think it shouldn't be, the core traitlines should be somewhat streamlined like every profession would get one support, one condition, one defensive and one power oriented traitline that increases their innate class powers. I think even that they should rebalance the elites to work without the mandatory special powers traitline and make that one an elite speck on its own.
  8. Classic has great open world, the gameplay might not feel great if you like action oriented style since it is more like dnd rule set. Having great open world puts it directly against GW 2 since it the bread and butter of the game. I'm more worried about other games though which have targeted similar game style and content. Crowfall and New world are WvW direct competition (hope it becomes the next big mode since i dislike the BR and it is time for it to die down), then there is Ashes of creation(and it doesn't end up as a scam) that goes after PVE, PVP and WvW with strangely similar combat to GW 2. There is probably large variety of MMO lights that will also try to take piece of the pie. For some strange reason GW2 seems to be stagnating like Warcraft, like they have made their niche and are happy to stay there, but soon something will come that will start a shift and arenanet would end up trying to play catch up.

  11. The artificial lag build, you are not lagging but you feel like it. I expect more people to drop pvp after it gets more popular.
  12. I wish they would sell the mount skins with the same theme in a bundles. I prefer to get them in bulk with the same theme and i would like to get the skyscale, warclaw and the beetle in the shiverpeaks theme so i can have the whole set. I dislike the bundles that are with multiple skins for the same mount, i just want one of them.The whole mobile game macro transaction plan is pissing me off, i know how it works i have seen the tables and the "micro" transaction plans, it is all about whale hunting and it wouldn't work that great over time, since the whales will bugger off and the average customer will be too pissed to buy overpriced stuff. The mobile stuff doesn't work in a long run, large games can't sustain that, it works for mobiles cause it easier to craft and easier to maintain.
  13. It should give some great buff when you are in a owned area, so for example you get to defeat a large zerg with a small group under the protection of the walls of a castle.
  14. Most of the so called top players play only one profession, 2 at best, and they are not really that objective about what is good or bad outside their preferred build. Some are quite malicious and want to keep their place at leaderboard any means necessary. I remember a thread where one was blowing a gasket cause his OP build couldn't beat another guy's OP build at the AT. Not all "top" players are good at judging the broader impact of some builds and many are quite selfish and would wan't changes to accommodate their preferred game style. I'm not saying that there aren't any great players that know what's up and areana net should probably ask them some questions.By reading some posts about plebs and noobs i can see that my point makes perfect sense and to them they need to know that everyone from the top 250 is playing in goldwith the so called plebs and noobs.
  15. Enter POF, scourge starts to exist, constant nuclear fields of death and destruction. Every scourge noob getting carried to high places, saying that 1500k damage per game is fine and balanced.

  17. I just don't understand why they made Berserker so technical, it should have been off cooldown hit the button do damage simple, crazy , hulk smash. Now you sit and wait for the berserker mode to come and then use the utilities, adding 2 seconds doesn't help you need 5 to get one more burst and these utilities have cast time of a second.Now you spend a lot of time over capped or under capped on adrenaline with utilities that don't help outside the mode and have to be picked to get the value out of the elite which other class needs all their utilities to be functional.The idea they put is good, it works but it is still half baked, it needs more work. Love the gs and axe but the rest of the weapons need some love too.If i remember correctly berserkers in history were guys that munched on shrooms and got into a state of frenzy, where they have no fear, don't feel pain and the only way they had to deal with them was to kill them.
  18. They should have made GS leach life at something like 20% of the damage so you can be able to put a fight out of shroud.
  19. I'm under the suspicion the changes come from charts that are somewhat old, a month, 2, 3 even an year. They are mostly working with statistics and you can feel like they are doing that by the sharp mathematical changes. For one math is not fun and you can't measure fun with a chart. Most of the changes are made like that with no active involvement in the game, a lot of statements seem tone deaf , cause there aren't many boots on the ground just charts. I have to deal with people like that in my workplace, i can tell you developers are really intelligent people, they can solve programming and complex math issues with ease, but when they make some decisions in a lot of cases i wonder if they can tie their shoe laces by themselves.

  21. They only killed healing per attack while in shroud, but you can still get it outside of shroud. Keep in mind that while in shroud, reapers can deal massive amounts of damage, making them pretty darn durable with no tradeoff to damage. I think it's a healthy change. I would like to reply by stating, ( yes this is a snowcrows thing), Out of Shroud reaper does more damage than In shroud reaper past 50% health, so shroud is only useful in raids before 50%, If we then look at pvp, Reaper shroud is a melee focused shroud with No fast way to approach enemies as the leap is very slow in comparison to core shroud, In the patch notes this time, Soul Eater is being nerfed slightly by fixing a bug, or "bug", However the fact necromancers cannot be healed in shroud outside of Two specific traits and they do not heal a lot, If you get ccd in shroud ( which is very easy to be) and it gets burst down, you lost your healing, and Unlike raid bosses Players can evade attacks so your DPS will be bad aswell since your best DPS is melee range with No chasing.Well after the nerf i don't think anyone would want to bother with reaper in raid, the healer has to heal everyone and probably wouldn't want to wait the reaper to get out of shroud to heal everyone, so why bother with extra effort when you can get a berserker that does the same and can be healed with everyone else. I don't get why the "second life bar" is taken like is so great and even better than block.
  22. Pretty sure people had issue only when it went of twice in a row and that thief could deny caps with it. If they made the reset have like around 10 seconds in between casts so it is not daggerstorm steal daggerstorm, wouldn't have been so bad, but now they now nerfed it for pvp and it feels like huge buff for pve since you are not locked in animation.
  23. Just add 2v2 3v3 arenas in a queue and ditch the circle quest it is too complicated right of the start and the game is way way way over sped and over charged for anyone new. Simple objective of kill the other guy win learn your class get matched vs other new people, now you get around gold 2 right of the start and with the low pop you get matched vs people that have played this for years and you just get rolled.

Here is an option for the portal, it gets back be like before , but and that is a big but it is a breakable object so people can clean it up.Mesmer is one those classes that somehow gets a really cheesy build that forces someone to not play the game, stay afk on points to wait the return of the mes, get conditions that should no go together torment, confusion so you can move or cast and get pelted to death, get stunned, dazed to death.And they are always something easy to use. I don't get the whole mesmer is hard to play, how you have so many options, so many defense cd, so many dodges and damage to boot with mirage you don't even get cced, like wtf a whole mechanic doesn't concern you.The other thing the clones, i never see them as some kind of mind game they are just fodder to shatter and clutter the screen. Add some resource management, now its just press on cd get 3 clones, shatter, repeat . I know they need them for pve to get that dps and support going but in pvp everything has gone insane and hard to keep track of.When was the last time someone was counting dodges, you can do that only on necro or guardian.
