    i miss hotjoin and yes being able to switch teams was certainly one of the big factors in why it failed, but imo it mostly failed cuz the teams weren't random so the same good players all stacked one team every game.

    the best way to get pve'ers to play pvp is to introduce modes that they wouldn't mind playing. same for wvw'ers. the devs are intentionally tanking pvp cuz they refuse to adapt to player desires.

    It's not enough that eles can skill stack out the wazoo. They also need to be able to instant heal you at range. How about we make it barrier instead of heal in PvP. I mean I hate barrier but at least I can get off my dps skill kitten. This is some 2012 design hold-over garbage design just like much of mesmer and ele focus. Insta-cast, no interaction, and/or unblockable refuse.

    idk i haven't seen it as any worse than any other multiplayer game i've played like early halo and cod as well as counter strike (actually for some reason cs is pretty wholesome if you get a good pub server. well it was anyway haven't played in a decade). ya know that might be it, its the newer generations that are being more toxic and i wonder why taht is. buncha doomers or somethin.

    anyway its safe to assume that staff ele can apply 2 stacks of stab at 4 sec every time they swap into earth, and this is on a pretty average build. camping earth is obviously not viable and only for demonstration purposes. its a pretty big change for staff ele.

    they do sometimes make in game changes based on suggestions so you just gotta pay attention.

    not having to use a blast for frost aura but instead being able to save it for water blast combo makes sense but this change is not going to change much. staff ele needs way more love to ever make it viable.
