Nothing. Walk away, permas use a lot of skills that make them un-interactable with, so don't.
-
Not quite sure if you need them to upgrade mats ( other people can do that for you, msg me if you're interested), or if you need to craft something with them. I get mine from either Silverwastes meta "levelling up" or WvW exp tomes.

That's gotta be the worst way to go in WvW. Getting sniped by a deadeye while fishing for weed.

Arborstone feels like home
Solstice.5790 replied to Hoover.6394's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
Yes, there are a couple of things missing, dungeon merchant and so on. But there's also no legendary vendor in the other lounges 🙂 They're not identical, but Arborstone is free. -
Arborstone feels like home
Solstice.5790 replied to Hoover.6394's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
It's a free lounge. Larger than necessary, but still convenient. Without the fractal gate of Mistlock, but with a casino. The exp boost tends to fall flat pretty quickly though. Glad you enjoy it. -
The Increasing Toxicity in the Community

I think trying to understand the person you're talking to is. So blanket statements like yours, or don't really solve anything. -
The Increasing Toxicity in the Community

If we had the same filter for forums, it would definitely help the quality of our discussions though. -
The cores aren't much of an issue imo. 235 additional vitality is almost exactly like crafting a chestpiece and pants for an alt, I can just do that. What's really infuriating to me is locking the T3 mods, i.e. factual character ability upgrades, behind account bound Meta chest rare drops. Unless you get the right lottery ticket, you're stuck at max 20% additional energy regen, you're stuck at 2k units of chest radar, there is nothing you can do to get to optimal "stats" / performance (and please don't say "Jade Vault", same lottery, different ticket vendor...) for even one character. Good luck getting energy regen 3, rescue protocol 3 or gliding boost 3 for alts...

A statue set is ~4-5g, save up on favors until you can buy the whole armor collection if you want it. Not like there's anything else worth buying from that guy imo anyways (and if anyone says "bot upgrades", over 30 New Kaineng Meta chests disagree with you.) Just another weird design decision.

New Kaineng City ...
Solstice.5790 replied to medivh.4725's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
How about a lift that skips the empty floors, because why would I want to go there? 😮 But 100% agree on the bot stuff, with T3 upgrades being rare drops, I am not equipping alts. Yes, the T1 cores are cheap, but alts are the characters that might actually profit from gliding boosts, higher rescue protocols or treasure hunters, so you kinda need T6+. -
Where's the loot?
Solstice.5790 replied to AliamRationem.5172's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
Haven't really figured out where the loot is. But after 20+ New Kaineng meta chests without the capacitor, I can tell you where my motivation to gear up any alts is. The basics are covered, but there really doesn't seem to be much in terms of variety. The whole thing just seems very... void. -
"Qualify for True Ending"

What's confusing me atm is being on "Extraction", on a turtle, without the achievement... -
Volatile Tools, still worth it?
Solstice.5790 replied to Anti.1093's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
With somewhat decent sized bags you have enough room for the karma tools from Dragonfall. And with all the wonderful uses you have for that currency otherwise, I personally wouldn't spend a single gem on infinite volatile gathering tools, or even one gold on the glyph. In my opinion, they're not worth it. More convenient - maybe, but it's up to you if you want to pay for that. -
i just want my turtle
Solstice.5790 replied to krixis.9538's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
While understanding the current point of view having failed the meta four times first as well, I would like to add: The fifth run was me strolling into a single com while just getting some jade, not even being in the squad - and the boss went down with about 5 minutes to spare. You simply can't brain-afk the fight, but that's it. And the strike for the "saddle" was a somewhat organized lfg-pug oneshot, there's even video guides for those things. So you definitely could and can get your mount without high-end-super-hardcore-meta raidgroups. -
Looks like a low drop rate. 5 metas, nothing yet. Or it just magically appears at some point like the pure jade... update: 7 metas with the actual meta reward plus 5 weekly chests from the jade vault. No drop. update 2: 30 meta chests now. As long as factual character ability upgrades stay locked behind this rng-wall, I'm out. Sick of it.

what do you think about this in bitterfrost frontier?
Solstice.5790 replied to titje.2745's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Yet another "love it or leave it" reply 🙄 As if dealing with mobs that are literally designed to annoy you by flying around (immune) or slow you down (chill) was some sort of achievement... I'll message you ingame OP, maybe we can work out a spec / gear setup to help you on that map.- 35 replies

Jormag Rising - Behind Enemy Lines Mail bug
Solstice.5790 replied to Alice.2157's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
I know this is an old thread, but if anyone encounters the same issue ( I did... ), here's what helped me: Quit the current episode Jormag Rising and start any other one you haven't done yet (Champions?). Whatever you start has to tell you that "you're going to lose some progress on Jormag Rising", which is exactly what you want. Quit whatever story chapter you've chosen and just start J.R. anew, you'll get the mail sent again. -
There is no reason to pre-order. You give a real money loan to someone for just about no interest, and take away your chance to evaluate before purchasing. If you trust in GW2 - go for it.

I'd say get them both in due time, and figure out which one you like best. None of them, in my opinion, is superior to the other.I think the griffon is more suited as an aerial mount, as I want to be able to fly to cover long distances quickly. When the Skyscale runs out of stamina (which it will if you try to keep your altitude), it goes down just like the griffon - but with way less forward momentum. And the small gains in altitude on short distances can almost always be achieved with a springer, too.In short, the scale to me feels like a swiss army knife of mounts - longer "jumps" than a raptor, decent maneuverability, sufficient speed bursts especially with the masteries... really handy, yet sometimes you just want the perfect tool for a specific job. But, MacGyver wasn't famous for his giant toolbelt... So pick your favorite :)
