  1. Basically just do stuff over and over again and try different utility skills according to each boss. But I would say that having a knowledgeable and experienced group plays a huge role in fractals. There is a way to cheese siren's reef by approaching the ship from the other side and making sure the whole party stands in the sand patch right before the ramp attacking the boss from a distance. For sunqua, honestly, just know the mechanics very well and get an experienced group.
  2. You can always specify what type of group you are looking for in the LFG.
  3. You can delete your own characters, Anet doesn't have to do that for you. I would certainly quit if they deleted something I've worked so much to build.
  4. I don't mind the voice acting, but I can see it can be a problem also for non-binary folks that are obligated to choose a gender.
  5. Druid is 100% playable in PvP and WvW. Take a look at Mukluk's YouTube channel. He does pretty good at breaking the wrong idea that Ranger is trash, or not meta. I totally root for PvP Druid.
  6. I think you misread the part I said "there were no meta builds comparable to what we have today". With the elite specs and "new" gear/weapon stats meta builds became way more complex. I disagree that nothing had mechanics back then. We had mechanics that matched the the level of complexity the builds had. I don't think fractals content needs balancing. If you can get a good group that covers all the roles and clears everything fast, good for you! If the 5 necros in soldier gear take forever to clear everything, but still do it, good for them! Everybody cleared fractals, everybody is happy. They can't balance the content to make players only play classes and roles you want. Some people just like to take the hard path, let them. I'm with you, I prefer to have all roles covered while doing fractals, but I won't trash players for playing a class that makes the gameplay more enjoyable for them. In my opinion, they should balance the classes, in order to have more of them covering more roles, instead of having super required classes and those hated by everybody. The content is fine, they need to balance classes.
  7. No. You don't NEED all those roles. Yes, they make everything ridiculously easier and faster, but it is doable with or without them as long as you and your team are skilled. When Fractals were launched, the game was super new, there were no meta builds comparable to what we have today and we still managed to clear everything. I like to think that the fact that we had to learn mechanics instead of just burning everything in 3sec made us better players 🙂 Also, when you're pugging, you HAVE to know the mechanics, since you'll probably not have every single role covered properly and will not kill the boss in 20sec.
  8. LMAO thanks, I had no idea about this place. I wish it was more populated though. Or maybe it already is...
  9. I don't necessarily miss the old LA, but I think GW2 lacks a place where all people gather just to hang out. I would love to see like a bar, brewery, night club or something where we can just sit and talk to other people like in RL. I don't know, I think COVID is affecting my senses...
  10. I can relate to what you are saying whenever I play Drizzlewood Coast. However I don't think that there's a way to change these hotkeys.
  11. Hmmm... around 6. Most of the stuff I was hoping for will not be present. But this is not Anet's fault at all, they can't do everything at once.
  12. You lost me at "i'd be willing to pay a monthly fee". I'm a grad student, I ain't got money for that! And, as others stated, GW2 is just not as big as other MMO companies out there.
  13. Idk, I like to give a "Confused" emoji to mean people that are here with the single purpose of writing mean posts without being helpful 🙂
  14. They have clearly stated that the "End" in the "End of Dragons" does NOT mean the end of GW2 and they have the best content still being developed. I think many aspects you are claiming that require an entirely new game can be incorporated somehow into GW2 and I'm sure Anet is working on some points you cited.
  15. Disagree. Voices add more to the drama! I already have to read too much in academia lol
  16. It's Summer for you, but not for everybody. Also, Christmas is in 4 months, better start preparing. There's a pandemic out there, if buying Christmas themed stuff make people happy, it's totally valid right now lol
  17. I crafted Astralaria last Friday 😄 It felt good! Now I have to start working on Aurora, but I seeing 0 mystic coins and 0 mystic clovers in my account is pretty sad! Congrats on your accomplishments! Btw, I love the positivity in your post. It's not common to see positive content around here 🙂 Thanks!
  18. Don't understand exactly the point of this topic, but I play my power soulbeast and do a lot of damage. More important than having specific classes/builds on a team is having players that know what they are doing, including mechanics.

  21. Simple question: if GW2 had a housing system (something more fun than the home instance), how do you imagine it would be like? Furniture? Prices? Decorations? Size? Purpose? etc
  22. Different types of content are available for different types of players. Challenging content exists in either PvP or PvE. I do strikes and raids mainly because I enjoy doing them, not because they are or not the best way to get gear and gold.
