It's quite on topic as you are asking for quality of life items to be more easily attainable. Skyscale and legendary gear are both similarly gated behind substantial grinds. Why do you have an issue with one and not the other?

And yet, with the Return To achievements, the barrier is lower than it's ever been. Do you just want new players to log in and get everything for free without any effort? Might as well remove the barrier to legendary gear, too.

I think that might depend on what content or maps you visit. I haven't seen a significant uptick. During the initial Steam launch, sure, but it's died down from my experience. /shrug

Seriously? The skyscale is not required to complete content. I have several friends without one and they've been able to engage with every map, including EoD maps, using the mounts they have acquired from PoF. The skyscale is a quality of life upgrade. If you want one, then you have to do what is required to obtain one.

Agreed, however my point is that I believe that the intent was to enable level 80s to be relevant in the starter/lower zones via scaling but not continue to engage with that content.

Relevant, perhaps, but engaging? I'm not so sure about that. I feel that Anet has a design push to get players through these starter zones and into later content if not end-game content because that generates sales of expansions. The level scaling was there from the start, so I don't think that any resources were squandered.

And the real-world political discussions, too. I play GW2 to get away from what's happening in the real world. Is such discourse in map chat harassment? Not by my definition. Like most other things in chat that I don't want to see/hear -- I just block and move on.
