  1. alot of my character use an ascended amulet, alot of times they fit the background i gave the characters, i sure want the amulet, but i agree that it would be a nice idea if we could have to option for a ring or earring instead of an amulet
  2. lets not talk about game mechanics, , lets speculate about a lore reason of why we dont see many old people in gw2, there are a few, but its very limited, could it be that these few cases have an immunity or allergy to healing magic? something thats makes the healing magic have less effect?

  4. when i make a sylvari i always dress her up imidiatly in the common clothing tonic outfit, it looks great and racial appropiate, (exept human females, i dont like that dress, i uses the common hoodie outfit for my humans)
  5. maybe your right, have some more ideas/stories/motivation on why. I still have a name reserved for a sylvari, i wanted her to make one of the new elites and then slowly go through the story and write down and some screenshots to tell her story but i cant decide on a profession, i want it to be magical, but also alone, so no ranger, warrior, engineer, thief. i always thought trevenant was a bit human centric , because most of the characters they can use are from gw1 lore, and gw1 is human centric. now revenant offcourse is magical. why would you think it fits the best?
  6. with the latest beta, the specter got a transformation with new skills, but in order to see what these skills do you had to go to the wiki, or do combat to fill the bar , trandsform and have a limited time to see what the skills actually do and how they relate to traits. in the Build tab of the hero menu, above the traitlines you see your skillbar with 2 options Terrestial and Aquatic, is it possible to put a Transform option below that to show transform skills for like Specter, Reaper, Holosmith, Druid. you you can actually see those skills ingame and how traits/armor/runes affect the skills.
  7. i do would like this idea too, this will maybe cause some issues as some of the weapons are tied to the mechanic, like the holosmith sword and heat levels. But i would just consider this a traitoff for using the weapon without the mechanic. it would also open up alot of more build variaty in maybe corebuilds
  8. about this, have any of you ever looked at the globes you can place in the guildhall, if you look at it, the Raisu Palace area looks like a bunch of lakes, makes me think that maybe the entirety of Raisu palace fell into some sinkhole cause my a tidal wave or something from the north removing the foundations.
  9. most other characters from the starter storylines return in some cameo later on in the core storyline, even if you pick balthazar or kormir it its just slightly altered dialogue in POF like the aformentioned sister returns in orr, but basicly no more than a cameo. Petra is mentioned in orr as sending food asura statics return later in the grenth temple charr iron legion has return in orr too but only sometimes its more than a cameo with Norn heirloom story, that ancestor is met later in orr, Romke mostly you dont see any of them after the core storyline only Faren returns plenty of times after the core story i did though the human streetrat has no character met later on so Noble is maybe the most interesting one, with Faren. im still trying to figure out what the source is for the wiki mentioning Petra and the commener character having fun in queensdale and the moa range
  10. is there a quick way to get a summary of ingame sources about Balthazar. i do know of one of the other scriptures, but what are the other sources? this one does tell a more honorable story For weeks did the battle rage on, and those who had taken up the mantle of war grew weary and their courage began to falter.   11. sidething maybe that i heard hewre about the 0 beds, is that the emergency beds arent counted?, lets asay a hospital has 10 IC beds, with 3 as emergency status for people with accidents. then they will report to have 7 available, if you then have 7 occupided they say 0, even through there are still 3 empty, but those have to stay empty in case of emergencies. offcourse the nobody having time updating the bed reports is also the case.
  12. i am the opposite, i so enormously dislike the female greatsword stance, i never use greatswords, exept on charr, charr hold them in a normal way. i know the nebenhut is an official zweihander stance, but its not a good one, its an illusion stance, to make the opponent think your weak, perfect for mesmers i guess, not for warriors/guardians. normally if you hold a weapon to point the pointy part towards the opponent, like what Charr do. but i have a feeling it all comes from the misconception that greatswords are heavy, they are not, max 3kg and you hold it in 2 hands, they have the weight of holding a carton of milk in in each hand. funny thing is, there are youtube videos about what would be the best weapon for a woman, or someone whit lesser average bodystrength, and the answer is the greatsword, not a bow as a bow still requires alot of strength, but a greatsword because you hold it in 2 hands the 3kg weight is split between 2 hands, making it easier to use if you have less average strength. but it would be nice if we can select stance options
  13. about the tech advancemanets of humans in our world , when i look at it, their are 2 major events that changed everything, and you also see this back when you have stories/books/movies/games in these times, First is agriculture, before agriculture it was all nomands and basicly no cities. it changes storysettings before and after agriculture. The second was the industrial revolution, a storysetting in roman time or medieval, will not be that much different, as the weapons are the same, transporation is the same. The industrial revolution changed everything again, as after that you got faster transportation and different weapons including guns and cannons, the differnt in technology in 250 years in GW uis basicly because gw1 plays before the industrial revolution, and gw2 plays after it. And if you think the computer is a third, but i dont think so, thats more of a differnece between roman and medieval, it changed a bit, but not so drasticly
  14. true about that, not only characters, also statues, the Lonely Vigil ( the fallen statue in the desert) changed sex from gw1 to gw2:D, (still no idea why)
  15. you also no longer spawn under the pods, you spawn in front of the portal to the grove. just like for humans, you spawn at the townsquare, no longer next to the bed and priestess that talk to you in the cinematic (its the house up the hill in the direction of the cemetary, priestess and beds are still inside)
  16. we know how the other 5 dragons look like, and that cinematic with the orbs in POF shows a blue dragon that looks not like the other 5, so it must be the deepseadragon, i dont think the eod artwork is the deepseadragon, but it could be a hydra with multiple heads, but that scinematic from also pof also looks like it will speak
  17. i still hope they change back where sylvari started in the beginning, under the pods in caladon, naked and you talk to the guy to get your armor back you had in the prologue story
  18. just red the text greyhawk send, it sounds like a redcon, unless us touching the monument was the final straw to release him, but i do have to admit i cannot find any dialogue in gw1 that tlaks about us freeing jok or anyone complaining that we did.
  19. are you sure, wasnt the point of freeing joko because we needed to talk to him about the sulfur. it would be a truly extreme coincedence that joko frees himself the moment we examine the monument because we need him. the mission really makes it seem that we the players freed him
  20. well there are minecarts ingame, and rails, just no locomotive or some sort
  21. no, we the players released joko, to learn how to traverse the sulfurous wastes. offcourse this was to stop varesh and abaddon, but we the player released joko and then did not put him back because 'we made a promise not to do that if he told us how to traverse the sulfur'
  22. my main character is not from Tyria, she just helps out , after gw1 she returned to her homeworld, now for tyria 250 years have passed, not for her, and she returns after a request for help. but it would be nice if we get a question early in the story about "ancester", "similar soul" "same character" or "unrelated at all", to give other dialogue options later in the story
  23. i still think this whole jade technology started after we started killing of the elder dragons and the magic from their deaths started to seep into the jade. In the livestream they said they made a timeline of events in gw2 and how each would have affected Cantha
