OOHHH BOY! More Skirmish Tickets!
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to DanAlcedo.3281's topic in World vs. World
I see devs play in all the tiers. What I see is that they're always running as part of a blob. I don't see them in small groups or roaming. I also don't know how much influence they have on the direction that they take. What I do know is that the changes they want to make only help blobs and non-wvw focused players. Defenders and roamers get nothing. -
OOHHH BOY! More Skirmish Tickets!
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to DanAlcedo.3281's topic in World vs. World
The reward changes were NOT for wvw focused players. Much like the exploration change, this is a reaction to the PVE complaints that they'll listen to (and the wvw's they always ignore). -
Siege and Supply Changes in Context
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to Sviel.7493's topic in World vs. World
Anet continues to cater to the boon ball. Its where they play when they're on so its all the y do anything for. -
Just based on the High, Full, Medium on the servers, that doesn't look balanced at all. They must use a super serious methodology. I'm thinking blindly throwing darts a board. Sad.

Idea for Skirmish Ticket Sink
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to Lan Deathrider.5910's topic in World vs. World
Its hard to tell. I'm sitting on 70+K since buying everything. These tickets are just piling up. My wife has around 55K. They really need to let us do something more with them (trade, sell, new skins, something). -
WvW Update in the Dec 13th 2022 patch (Wintersday)
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to Gorani.7205's topic in World vs. World
Anet just wants to say they did something for wvw. It was that or remove a couple more ambient creatures. Both offer the same improvement to gameplay..... -
Its all about the money. Can their investment into WvW generate more income than its costing them. Based on how little they've done for the game mode over the years, its clear they don't think much of it. The do have their champions and they seem to only listen to blob commanders, so we have that going for us......
-
Whatever the changes end up being, I hope we can sell or merchant these tens of thousands of tickets that have no further use.

The only one who ever said anything to me was my wife - she doesn't like that I do a better job at fashion wars on my female characters than she does. Otherwise I haven't heard anything else from the beginning of GW1 to today.

Quaggan as playable race!
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to Sahne.6950's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Quaggans are food, not friends. -
You'll end up salvaging (or selling) just about every gear drop you get. Its level becomes meaningless pretty quick. The way they built the instances in the story prevents us from skipping that awful dialog. It bites, but I'd rather suffer it than have them spend time refactoring that code. WvW is the red-headed step child of Guild Wars. We've been put on the backburner at every turn. Have some new project? Pull the WvW devs! Need to lay off some people, do it and put the work they used to do on the wvw devs! Don't expect that to change. PvP isn't to far behind.

65K tickets. I'd like to be able to sell them as they have no further use (or add more uses).

YES I have all those things (did 4 sets of armor before the wardrobe change) and have 65K tickets that are essentially useless..

Alliances are a waste of time and resources
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to Bast.7253's topic in World vs. World
Waste of time? Not really, they've hardly put any time into it at all. Waste of resources? Maybe, but see above.... -
Crib notes: Alter the game mode to suit my needs! What a terrible suggestion.

Why are Alliances not ready yet?
Blockhead Magee.3092 replied to Thei.6901's topic in World vs. World
Because Anet was unwilling to be straight with us. When they abandoned alliances, they said nothing until they got a few people back on it. They abandoned it again without telling us until they, once again, got a few people to work on it. Noting their track record, we can expect it to be abandoned soon and picked up again in the future. Eventually they'll probably even get it done doing it this way.
