  1. Either the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing or they out and out lied to us. Neither is very comforting.
  2. They realized they gave something to the forgotten game mode. Now, they've corrected that mistake and left us with nothing new. Kill mobs in pve - get extra loot. Certainly don't want wvw players getting the same thing.
  3. Of course they took that away. Wouldn't want to attract player who might find they enjoy the game mode. Anet really doesn't want any profit made in this game mode. I'm sure after they've tinkered with the alliances for another year, they'll find something else to take away.
  4. There are a very bitter minority who will make enough noise that Anet will change the game for them. Map completion includes wvw? Gone. Give them some more time, I'm sure Anet will capitulate. Maybe they'll introduce a gem store item called the 'gimme that!" pay 2400 gems and you get whatever item you otherwise don't want to put in the effort to get.
  5. Its always good customer service to annoy the people you want more money from. Excellent strategy! The thing that is most disappointing, is that the talk about the final meta isn't about how 'fun' it is. 'Fun' is what I paid my money for. 'Fun' is not what I got. I got a tedious lightshow with a trinket I'd like to have tied behind its success. I'd say that was the bigger swing and miss from Anet in an otherwise mostly enjoyable expansion.
  6. My guess is that they'll change it up. Again - a guess, but I think the vast majority of people are going to get their turtle and then never participate in this meta again. Its a blur of particle effects. Roaming in wvw is my challenge, having to rely on the skill or effort of others isn't what I want to spend time on. So, I'll be one of those who won't be coming back.
  7. When I heard there was going to be fishing, I said "meh". After experiencing their fishing. Definitely "meh".
  8. I hope the devs don't waste development time on this. Based on how complicated they implied a change like this would be, I'd rather their efforts be put somewhere else.

  11. I've used Logitech's G600 for many years and very happy with it. Just looked on Amazon and its $40 - I'm going to order a back up at that price.
  12. Is the game fun? Then I'll play. If I'm not having fun, then I won't. I could give two spits about who the publisher is.
  13. If dungeons were fun, I'd be in them. If fractals were fun, I'd be in them. WvW is fun - that's where I am. Therefore; WvW development should be a top priority and not instanced content. There, is that how this works?
  14. I suspect that shared slots were a money maker for them so there might be a technical limitation/hurdle on adding more. Same for bank tabs. With all the hoarders out there, people would buy those things up if they're made available. Templates were horribly implemented (IMO) and I would rather they replace it with something that's easier to use and less cumbersome.
  15. I roam most of the time. I do it alone. While I miss a few characters from the server, my play wasn't really effected. (Wife sometimes comes along so we picked the same 'guild'). With that said, the new structing is going to be great for guilds and do absolutely nothing for roamers. Add that to the change in participation rules, Anet has shown a disregard for solo & roamer play.

  18. Anet pretty much only listens the the blob commanders (if they listen to anyone at all) and they didn't like when people would stop for the nodes. So, anet changed the game.
  19. Anet should work on giving more participation for things, not less. We need bodies to get in wvw and find out that it is a good place to spend their time while in game. We continue to hemorrhage players and I'd rather they do what they can to draw more people in. Sure 8/10 might just be there for the rewards (who knows the actual number) but those 2 who jump in the deep end will keep the game mode going.

  21. Eliminating the downstate is by players who don't want to or can't figure out how to manage a player once they get them down. The funny part is they claim its their 'skill' that's being diluted by a feature of the game. Skilled players manage the whole fight. People who think they're skilled are looking to have part of the fight removed.
  22. Didn't like the strikes at all. Finished the achievements and never looked back. I found them boring. Anet is doubling down on something that the player base looks to have rejected by the lack of participation (anecdotal observation of LFG). Maybe they'll have something good, but I won't be surprised if, they too, quickly become a ghost town.
  23. What I read is "The effort required doesn't fit my schedule. Therefore, please adjust the game to fit my time frame. " what I'd rather see is Let us sell our extra to those who want them. 50K claim tickets sitting around and nothing to do with them
  24. Totally disagree with everything in this post. In fact, the only people of consequence are logging in. Who you consider consequential and who I consider consequential are probably quit different.
