Boosts are the biggest waste of money in this game. Firstly, leveling is the most fun part of this game. After endgame, it all goes downhill as you struggle to figure out what you want to do. Ironically, this is also the MMO with the easiest way to bypass leveling. You get Tomes of Knowledges and mini-level boosters easily by trying other modes. Those items grant you free levels.

The grinds in WoW are for actually useful things - like permaflying - not for a scrawny skyscale that gets tired after 2 seconds.

The sooner you accept that we are the lowest budget of the "top MMOs", the happier you will be. This is the only "big" MMO where people will tell you your suggestion is unrealistic because "not enough resources."

Sorry, but you're wrong. FFXIV has all this trashy cat weeb stuff and it's super successful. If anything, killing immersion will bring in MORE players, as the high fantasy thing is no longer in vogue.

You guys are hopeless. If you don't like those options, SIMPLY DO NOT JOIN THOSE SERVERS. As for the tired old "pay for gems every month", you're paying for the people who aren't paying as well. The price is higher. With a sub, you'd get more for your $15 than if you bought gems. You cannot unlock every outfit and free barber and so on with $15 a month right now. Jesus.

Special servers are all the rage now. Add in other server options. Here are 2 types I could think of right now. 1. PvP server, where you can fight, gank and grief other players in the open world. Maybe if we stop being so nice in-game, we can let out our true emotions in Tyria instead of being toxic on the forums. 2. Sub-fee server. If you roll a character here, all outfits are available, bank space maxed out, free barber, etc. with a sub fee. im sure ya’ll can think of more.

It made sense to do LW1 alongside Steam release. The problem was Steam release being timed after EoD, so you go forwards then backwards and... yeah.

I would just feel stupid inconveniencing myself now. Plus, the reality is other players now have mounts. They'd just zip right past me instead of engaging in group events and I'd be expected to get my character up to speed at a certain pace lest I fall behind. Point is, it's just not the same.

There are no clear "MMO features" in modern MMOs, they're already different from older ones and bringing in their own unique flavors. Saying it's not an MMO because it focuses on story is fallacious.
