No point in buffing Reaper if they are about to be nerfing everything across the board.
-
Sweet, I did a Google search for something like that and nothing came up.

So what is the most efficient way to farm Wintersday gifts this year? I was guessing either the jp or the bell choir, but just not sure.

I'm surprised people are having issues at all really. I have done it 4 times now, every time using the public option, and every time succeeding easily. On one run we even did it with only 7 people. I played minion master reaper the first time and, though we won, it went pretty slow. Next two times I used my fractal / raid build, and it was much better. The last time I ran my heal scourge and it was even easier. I don't know, maybe I'm just really lucky and get great groups?

Couple of Bugs on Revenant and Build Templates
Shaogin.2679 replied to Kidel.2057's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
Hope they fix this soon. -
Pretty sure that is what OP is talking about, adding a 4th utility skill that can be interchanged with one of the 3. Honestly I really wouldn't mind each legend having 5 or 6 utility skills to choose from. As it is now, Rev seriously lacks build diversity, mostly because each weapon and legend has a specific purpose and set skills.

Game Update Notes: December 3, 2019
Shaogin.2679 replied to Fire Attunement.9835's topic in Professions
Wait WHAT? This isn’t normal weapon swap is it? I main ele and I’d love that but isn’t it basically like giving them eight skill bars? Isn’t that OP? Although you could argue using more skills requires more actual skill. Still I must be misunderstanding? It clearly states that you can only swap weapons while out of combat. So....nothing like normal weapon swap. -
PvP match ready pop up is obtrusive!
Shaogin.2679 replied to Hot Boy.7138's topic in Player vs. Player
I definitely still hate that permanent window. I feel like the simplest solution would be to make it so that when you have selected your map of choice, the map window shrinks itself and moves itself to the side of the screen. This way we can still view the map voting and selection process without it impeding our vision. Also, that thing that the ready check does where it just takes over control and all has got to go. It is annoying as hell to be typing to someone only to have that pop up and next thing you know you're opening the trading post, the guild window, the hero panel, just all sorts of chaos. -
Whisper in the Dark - Insane levels of immersion
Shaogin.2679 replied to ugrakarma.9416's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Scared? Seriously? There was nothing scary about this episode. Hell, there was hardly any story. The Prologue had more content than this. And to be scared from the content of this episode, you must scare super easily. -
Got hit by an over 25k single shot from a rifle warrior.
Shaogin.2679 replied to shion.2084's topic in Player vs. Player
It is actually kind of an annoying build. It just runs up to +1 a fight and one shots the unsuspecting victim, turning the tide in a team fight, and then if you focus it, it uses its defense and superior mobility to make a clean escape while their allies are free to focus you down. Sure, it is glassy in the sense that once you get past the active defenses and if you have the mobility to catch it, you can down it pretty easily. However, I feel that if something is going to be able burst you from range like that, it shouldn't have the defenses and mobility that warriors have to go with it. -
Can't optain Spirit Strings from Itzel Spirit Poison

Just had the same issue. Not sure what is going on. -
Obviously there wouldn't be 10 different unique conditions that would be more broke than it allready is. And applying Conditions in the current state is way to easyand not punishing at all, if you miss a skill or two you just carry on and spam condition. Even if you use condi cleanse to remove stacks of condition they just reapply the cleansed stacks with ease. The idea is to make it less spammy, bursty and more skill reliant. This isn't true for every condi build though. You guys just see the over performing condi builds and automatically cry for nerfs to condi damage across the board with no knowledge of what you are talking about. Half of the classes do not have a functioning condi build for PvP. Of the half that do, Core Burn Guard is pretty well balanced and not OP at all. Burn Guard has very little cover conditions and key skills that it must land, and for an effective burst he must bait out condi defenses first. The only reason Condi Necro is strong is because of its access to corruption skills and the amount of boon spam in the game. Condi Weaver is strong because it applies steady applications of condi damage with some burst here and there, all while being petty tanky. Condi Daredevil and Condi Mirage have a non stop barrage of condi pressure with plenty of cover conditions, mobility, and escape options. Anet is already looking to nerf those builds though. My point is, condi in general is not the problem, it is the specific builds. And if you're one of those delusional people that wanna talk about condi being too easy while power takes skill, just stop. That isn't true at all. Power builds are just as easy.

I don't know how to spell it out any more clearly. People talking about they can't get into raids because they don't have KP!? I had 0 KP. The Discord training runs never matched my schedule. What could I possibly do!? I used the damn LFG tool! It doesn't need more categories because you can customize your LFG post to search for exactly what you need! I simply researched the raid wing I was interested in using the wiki and YouTube, then post a message in LFG stating that I am doing a Wing 1 Training Run, and shortly after had a full raid group. I gave out my discord info, we had a ton of fun, we cleared the entire wing, and we all stay connected on the discord for future runs. I have since then continued doing these random raid training runs whenever I have time to, and our little discord community just keeps growing. So if you really want to raid, then get out there and raid and stop trying to find excuses on why it is impossible.
-
Just make your own LFG and ask for whatever floats your boat. You can make it a training run and accept complete noobs, or you can ask for something as simple as 1 KP if you want people that have killed the boss but are still new. Truth is, getting a raid group together is really easy, stop blaming anet and just use the tools already available. If some group wants 50 KP then that is their business and there is nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, the higher rated person should always gain less rating than the lower rated person. Therefore, it is most likely as stated above that he had less games in than you and thus had a higher volatility, giving him a larger rating change.

Clock tower rewards - underwhelming?
Shaogin.2679 replied to Firebeard.1746's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Once you get the path down, it's actually really easy. I run it and complete it every single time unless I do something stupid. That being said, I really enjoy doing it and would love it if I could get more than 3-6 bags each run. -
Potential Future Balance Changes - PvP
Shaogin.2679 replied to Cal Cohen.2358's topic in Player vs. Player
I keep checking for a dev comment in this thread besides the original and am seeing nothing. I see the balance patch feedback threads pop up, and notice that they seem kind of pointless. It feels like this is more just an early notice thread really. If no dev ever comes back on this thread to discuss the player's concerns, and the patch goes through as planned regardless of the feedback that is provided, then what is the point of this thread? -
Potential Future Balance Changes - PvP
Shaogin.2679 replied to Cal Cohen.2358's topic in Player vs. Player
I really hope you don't actually nerf Elixir U. If Holosmith is the problem, then nerf Holosmith and stop nerfing Scrapper and core Engineer with it. -
need for a list of banned aps
Shaogin.2679 replied to Sovereign.1093's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
The recent bans, just like last time, had nothing to do with ArcDPS. It's simple really, ArcDPS and TacO are ok to use so long as they don't change anything in future updates that would violate Anet's rules. If ArcDPS or TacO were to ever put out an update that Anet did not approve, I'm sure they would give people a heads up to stop using these addons before banning everyone that is using them. Anything else besides ArcDPS and TacO I would not risk using. -
Why we don't have emote for kiss or hug?
Shaogin.2679 replied to Ezzi.3670's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
How did you go from someone asking for an emote, to people wanting a marriage system with boons and perks? The game can use more emotes, so I’m all for it. I've been around here for a while. I am making a prediction based on observation. But I have been wrong before. Still, I wouldn't want the proposed suggestion added. I've been here longer, ignore this guy. More emotes is a good thing! -
Let the Jousting begin! New Dismount Ability - Lance
Shaogin.2679 replied to thehipone.6812's topic in World vs. World
As someone that doesn't do WvW much, I don't see the issue here. So WvW is basically a big open world PvP map. It is a huge warzone. In this warzone players group together in large armies and fight for territories. Other players form small squads or roam solo and protect supply lines and smaller objectives and pick off enemy reinforcements. Now to me, this sounds like WvW presents an opportunity for many strategies and interesting battles. When the Warclaw first came around, I thought it was great because now you didn't have to build for speed to keep up with a group or catch up to the zerg. But it also made anything outside of zerg fights boring since roaming enemies would just run around staring each other down from the safety of their mounts. I found it to be really boring when I would get on to flip camps. Now with the dismount skill, you can still keep up or return to the zerg without changing your build, but now there is still a risk when you run into enemies as there should be. Why would people complain about being ganked by roamers? They are simply doing their job. The real question is, why would you place yourself in a position to where you can be ganked by roamers? If you were in a zerg and died, then you shouldn't just have safe passage back to your zerg. That doesn't make any sense. If you can sneak back to your zerg, cool. If you can't then wait for other zergers to respawn and then move out as a group. We have this same problem in sPvP where our team loses the mid fight, and instead of regrouping and attacking together, people will trickle back in to the mid fight 1 by 1 taking on 2 to 4 enemies and just constantly feeding the enemy team free kills. I don't know, this is just my opinion as an outsider looking in. -
New Death Magic rework upcoming! (10/1 balance notes)
Shaogin.2679 replied to nikelaus.9745's topic in Necromancer
Also, I really don't see maintaining 25+ stacks of this to be all that feasible, especially in pvp. This really only seems to benefit a minion master Necro, which is only used for open world and was already doing amazing.
