Yeah, the still waters fishing rod is a staff skin, using it currently on my daredevil so he has "rodception" going when fishing. Also, they've temporarily disabled the 'Avid Fisher' repeatable achievements so currently there's no way of completing the needed 30 collections for 'Cod Swimming Mere Minnows'. There's 16 normal ones and 14 avid fishing collections.

Looks to be rare drop from the bounty. You can buy additional bounty boxes from Myung-Hee for 200 Imperial Favors each once you unlock the items with the statuette(s). This additional item list unlock also resets weekly. So it seems the High-Energy Capacitor is RNG based item and the hint on it is misleading to say the least.

If you're in Kaineng City there's a servitor merchant in Cobble Ward that sells the new cooking recipes. Has vendor icon on the map, says 'Merchant' when you put mouse cursor over it. I had the same nostalgia of WoW fishing, and also Ultima Online. Used to do lots of fishing for raid foods but gotta say I like it more here, in WoW it was bit too boring at times.

They said that the egg will be added to a new vendor but it also stays as a reward from the meta, so you can choose how to get it. Here is the post.

The Fishing Power wiki page has handy lists for foods etc. Easiest max bonus feast to make is Plate of Crispy Fish Pancakes but I also made some Bowl of Fish Stew since it takes other fish fillet to make and can't pop a feast on a skiff. Also good to remember that you can buff fishing power further by unlocking the last skiff mastery Fishing Party.

Well, depends on your situation and preferences. To me the price I paid is not that much money, especially considering the amount of content the expansion (and future LW seasons will) add. At least for me it'll bring many hundreds of hours worth of entertainment.

Been trying to get the Echovald Wilds Insight: Temple of the Dredge. Anyone know when or how to start the event to get this mastery point? The note on wiki page says "In order to use the Jade Portal, the event 'Protect the ritualists while they repair the shrines' near Temple of the Dredge must first be completed." I've been on the location multiple times without luck. One time there was two of friendly ritualist npcs repairing something and enraged mobs attacking them but there was no event happening. Is this bugged? If you got this MP please share how you got it?

Now that we have skiffs, I'm going to request a Synergetics Skiff skin. And ofc it will need some kind of force shields

The lighting level in some areas (esp. Seitung) seems to be quite bright. I'd suggest trying low postprocessing setting in graphic options, or you can also turn it off completely. Other ones you could test turning off are Ambient Occlusion, Effect LOD and Light Adaptation. You can also adjust your monitor settings, perhaps even save a profile to be used only when playing EoD. As sidenote; Character Model Limit is the biggest FPS killer, set this to low or lowest. Another tip that helped me with eyestrain is to add desk lamp(s) behind the monitor. I have one pointing at the wall behind. The idea is to balance the light level with monitor-room brightness.

What Cel said. So far there seems to be only two additional fishing rods. The vendors are Lin in Seitung and Ukyo Seafeather in Arborstone. The first rod has same +25 fishing power bonus and looks the same as default but has stripes on it. Ukyo is unlocked with the first Arborstone Revitalization mastery. He is wielding the blue glowing fishing rod but sells it only after you complete 30 fishing achievements (Cod Swimming Amongst Mere Minnows).

I've been loving the new content so am not disappointed, very much worth the money paid for it. Still haven't completed Echovald (work taking my time) but the area design reminds me of Verdant Brink and perhaps Tangled Depths too. Seitung is another map I also really love the feel of. However I will agree that New Kaineng could have used more work since currently feels somewhat inactive. Hopefully they'll keep adding things, as in developing the city when it "opens up" to rest of Tyria. It also feels too large as does Arborstone. Could have made both just a little smaller places tbh, but nothing's perfect and opinions differ. The story is.. well, it's a story. Bit passive on making desicions, feels more like the great hero of Tyria is just along to see the sights. "Get yer Cantha tour with the great Commander!" So far there's been few cringe moments but I'll live. Overall I have positive vibe with EoD and can't wait to complete it and to see what next LW season brings.

Sarcasm aside, I agree the buttons are quite small and the skiff button usage is somewhat annoying esp. when used a lot. Please add keybindings for skiff and fishing.

I thought it makes sense that there's no black lion trading post and bank since Cantha has been "cut off" from rest of Tyria, and crafting stations include bank tab too. One reason why they added Arborstone and the mastery track for it, to make it a hub for players. I noticed this too, there's even a vault door in the nothern reception area. Maybe they'll add these services in the future, if/when with new living world season Cantha "opens up" to the rest of the world.

The wiki says raptor can be aquired from Strigidae and springer from Lieutenant Zhao by doing the hearts in New Kaineng City. They'll come with basic abilities since you'll need PoF to unlock the mount masteries.

I'd say salvaging different rarities the way I do it now. Would have made a lot more gold.

Greetings! Another Ultima Online veteran here As others said avoiding damage (dodge, evade/mitigation skills) to stay alive is the most important thing. As a friend put it once: a dead dps does zero damage. Since you mentioned champions: most are balanced to be done as a group content, so they can be difficult to do solo or with too few players. However certain classes with correct builds can solo some quite easily. You can find different builds with instructions how to play them at the MetaBattle site. With new class I usually pick a build I like (might test a few to see what I prefer) and tune it a bit to my liking.

The main thing for me in games is exploration, so looking forward to finding "every nook and cranny" in Cantha. Other things: jade bots, new skins, story, skiffs, fishing and the music soundtrack.

One option you might be able to try is the paysafecard. I've used it without any issues since the credit card payment processing problems began. For those playing from the SEA region the latency issues could be related to the problems in the undersea data cables. https://sccaid.com/the-apg-submarine-cable-route-is-expected-to-be-repaired-in-february-2022/ APG should be fixed by February 6th but the info on AAG repair schedule I found said that it'll take more time to finish. They did fix one issue near Singapore but apparently found three more faulty sections near Hong Kong. They'll be working on those thru February and should be done by the end of the month. VPN might be helpful to solve the issue since it can use a different route to bypass the problems. It's also good idea to report the issues to your ISP to let them know there's a problem, and they might also change your internet traffic to go thru alternative route.
