Dont give up. its well worth it. But yes, its not something you should all at once. See it as a long term goal. Yes, don't give up. Don't try to get it all at once. Break it down into smaller goals/stages to complete and take it more slowly. I absolutely love my skyscale, it makes the game even more of a pleasure. When I'm in other games I really miss it. (That and gliding :) )

I can understand your frustration with the quest being bugged. But this thread was created about 6 weeks ago, not 1 year ago. :)Did you open a ticket?Also sometimes you can log out and back in to see if you get a different map where the event might be working.

Other easy ones are WvW Land Claimer/Master of Monuments and whenever the daily activity pops up (like today). Also doesn't it depend on your highest level character too (in regards to which dailies you are given) ?

I have 9 chars total and mostly play my main. I use the alts for crafting and storage and to get wardrobe pieces. I just made a light armor class to start getting more of those pieces unlocked. I used my keyfarmer slot for him so I sold some stuff to get gems for another character slot, will wait to see if a sale comes up before my next key run. I don't play the alts as much as I did when I first started the game, but I don't really feel like I've forgotten them either. I'm always logging on to them to move stuff from shared storage into their bags.

Could be an authentic character detail for all we know :)

I mostly play the same character. I have others for crafting and just to have all the races but focus mostly on just the one.

I enjoy putting together my outfits from things I get in the game, it's a nice creative outlet for me. I don't begrudge players who have store-bought pieces, I like seeing all the different looks and some are truly amazing! I also don't think they've "won" something or are better than me in any way.

I liked playing games with her too...baby Aurene is just so cute! I also like when she would fly in at various points and torch a bunch of enemies. But I think baby Aurene is my favorite. :)

Me trying this on a roller beetle would have me botching a tight turn and flying off the side of a ramp to end up on the other side of town from the race. :)

I chose ranger as I love animals and nature too. I don't know how good my bow skills would be, but I think I could hold my own with an axe/dagger combo (as long as my faithful pet was in front of me ripping my foe's face off. ) :)

I got this on logon this afternoon too. Thanks for the info on what to do if "not responding" I clicked on it once and it came back to life and had gone a lot farther. It's still stuck at "not responding" right now but hopefully it will finish.

Agrees that it's the sound, not the visual effect, that is so spectacularly annoying. hangs head in shame for being one of the demon-spawn Ho-Ho Tron users PS (but only during the winter festival)

The animation of the talking thing at the end was really, really creepy and very well done.

When I was going for these over the summer, for the last two I just camped out at the spawn point and waited till it showed up, jumping in on events as they came up. If you let people know that you need a particular one, people are usually good about calling out the spawn in map chat. I had the best success on the weekends. When you're waiting for that last one, it can seem like forever though. :) One thing I heard or read, don't know if it's true, that you have to keep the NPC leader at the spawn points alive when they get swarmed or else the legendary doesn't spawn. I made sure to jump in and fight, not just sit there.

I do that same thing! It took a long time for me to realize my mistake.

Whats double or quadruple dash with the skyscale? Dash is the dodge (default V) barrel roll. During this you don't lose height, and if you start below the max altitude you can dash diagonally upwards, "breaking the ceiling". You can do two consecutive from full endurance; if you at that point use Bond of Vigor it instantly refills your endurance (instead of the accelerated gain the other mounts get) so you can do two more.I didn't know this either, thanks so much! Over the summer I played FFXIV through the free trial level. Once I got to 35 I just stopped, because I wasn't ready to commit to a sub and getting the expansions I'd need to progress thru the story. I came back to GW2 and made that the focus of my game time again. The best part was that I didn't feel like I had lost any character progress and could just pick up where I left off, gear-wise. I like GW2's business model in that when I do put money into the game, it's for the specific things I care about.

Well this reminds me that I never got around to doing this. I think I was working on getting all my mastery points when this came out and that was my focus at the time.Thanks for all the helpful info! :)
