  1. What about Dwayna? She's often described as the head of the gods, and even the self proclaimed "mightiest of the Six" Balthazar used to follow her lead. He didn't seem like someone who would listen to the words of a weakling, so that has to mean something, no?
  2. Actually, it's green for HoT, purple for PoF, Blue for IBS, and red for Core Tyria.
  3. I played that story mission ten times with ten different classes (twice as a ranger since i have two of them). The first time was in 2014 with my exotic berserker core elementalist, so i was in the same situation as you. Probably in a worse situation actually since i only knew how to play staff ele at the time (not that i'm that much better now). I won't lie and claim i never died once either in the inquest lab or the Silverwastes (because i had like 10k HP total), but it wasn't so bad that i would feel frustrated and rage about it. What i did was aggro as many mobs as possible and make them sorround me while i dodged their attacks, then use the elite skill to become invisible, then deal as much damage as possible while i was still in stealth and they couldn't retaliate, and then run away like a chicken the second my invisibility weared off and keep running around like that with the enemies chasing my kitten while i waited for the elite skill cooldown to expire. Then do it all over again. Not very heroic, but it worked. ๐Ÿ˜„
  4. Caithe is a thief i believe, she just has a bunch of unique skills that player controlled thieves can't use. If i recall right (it's been years since i last played that story chapter), some of those skills are quite OP too. Like the elite skill which allows you to freely attack while remaining invisible for something like 10 seconds. Because of that, it's not a particularly difficult story chapter even if you take being forced to use an unfamiliar playstyle into account. Anyway, Anet already granted your wish. So many people who apparently couldn't get out of their comfort zone even once complained about it, that they never did that again since that one time in 2014. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. I know. That's what i do. But it's precisely because the legit way to complete it is awful.
  6. Do you mean the one where you have to slip past Ash legion scouts unnoticed? If that's the one then i agree, it's probably the most frustrating heart quest in the game. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
  7. I really liked the gorgeous animations of the Virtuoso, so i'm hoping they won't be tuned down (or worse, removed) when EoD launches next February. I'm still mad over the fact that they removed the mantra's animations for Mesmers and Firebrands (yes, it was annoying having to recast the mantra every time you changed map, but couldn't they have found a solution that didn't involve erasing the pretty visuals? รง_รง), and i don't want to be disappointed again.
  8. I think it depends on which game mode you are playing. It's weak in competitive modes like PvP where you have projectile hate with all the reflects/blocks and where players can just dodge/walk out of the AoEs, but it's strong in PvE against mobs who don't do that. I personally had a lot of fun these past two days playing virtuoso in OW. Plus the animations for the skills are super cool and pretty.
  9. Wait. I'm pretty sure my level 80 boosts from both HoT and PoF came with a free shared inventory slot (so they were available and ready to use for all my characters) so i didn't have to move the booster anywhere. Did they change that? EDIT: Oh wait, i misunderstood. Forget what i said.
  10. Those look like the same weapons that she was using in living world season 1 and 2 though. And they already sell the skin for those in the gemstore.
  11. Never underestimate the laziness of people.
  12. Because dyable backpacks are something that was only added to the game relatively recently. Any backpack released before Anet introduced dyable backpaks cannot be dyed.
  13. Who wouldn't? But i believe they rotate items in the Gem Store to give you the "I must buy it now before it disappears!" feeling.
  14. Since we are talking about BF achievements, can someone please tell me which sweet i need to get to which baby Quaggan in order to annoy it's parents? It's the only one that i have left, but i don't understand who i'm supposed to kitten off. ๐Ÿ˜“
  15. Completing the Path of Fire campaign is required in order to unlock the collections for the Griffon, but it's highly unlikely you'll be able to accumulate that much gold by doing just that. So you are probably going to have to farm gold for a little while.
  16. So...... We get to replay seven years old content for new achievements? ๐Ÿ˜
  17. Your anger is misplaced. You should direct it to the Anet people in charge of the story, not to Aurene. Blaming her for the horrible writing of the devs is like blaming guns for gun violence. It doesn't make sense.
  18. That's true. I hope that's indeed the case, because that would mean we can still expect something from the devs.
  19. So they knew that their finale was GARBAGE, yet they chose to release it anyway? What the actual f**k! Isn't that basically admitting that they don't give a kitten anymore?
  20. It is probably going down into the category that, it was always a assumption because we never actually see what will happen if more Elder Dragons are killed. Only assumed that the World maybe destroyed because of DATA assumed it maybe destroyed. However, that is the nature of Scientific Theories being we can never know if it is true or not from data alone. We must actually witness the results directly to be certain it will happen. So for all this time we had only tried to prevent the death of other Elder Dragons because by theory the world maybe destroyed because of over flowing magical energy due to scientific data gathered on what may happen. Though this does goes back to a thought I had in the past being that the Elder Dragons only consume current existing energy and then release some of it back into the world once they fall asleep. However, there was a time before Elder Dragons existed thus all that magic energy consumed should be the original amount that the world once had before the Elder Dragon Cycle. The world should by theory be able to handle all that Magical Energy because maybe the original amount of magical energy from the world before the whole Elder Dragon Cycle existed. It's not just Taimi's theory though. There is also the vision given to us by Omad's machine in living world season two, the vision given to us by the Eye of Jantir at the end of living world season three (which showed what would happen to the world in the event Balthazar succeded in killing Kralkatorrik), and also the vision given to us by the forgotten in Kesho during PoF (which, again, showed dire consequences for the world in the event of magical imbalance). Not to mention all that stuff that happened with ley line anomalies appearing in several areas right after Mordremoth's death, showing us that magic was indeed starting to go haywire. Let's not try to sugar-coat this. This is not a case of an old theory being disproven by a more recent discovery, this is just a plain old retcon. The writers at Anet have probably simply decided that they want to end the dragon storyline asap so they can move on to other stuff (it has been almost nine years after all), even if they have to rush to an ending and throw years of established lore out of the window while doing so.
  21. I would love to see that just to eat popcorns and laugh while reading all the insults and curses in map chat.
  22. To be honest, i hoped that the whole "Primordus is just a wild beast, so it's no use to try to talk to him" was just another one of Jormag's lies, one told to prevent us from trying to reach a different ending than the one the ice dragon wants. But nope, it's true. Primordus really is the only elder dragon who's like a brainless animal. Bummer. And then Braham became his champion just like that. Because HE decided it. Shouldn't you need.... i don't know..... the consent of the dragon to become a champion? The way it went it feels more like it was Primordus to become Braham's champion and not the other way around. Maybe that was done intentionally to show that, since Primordus is the polar opposite of Jormag, even the way the bond between the dragon and the champion works is reversed. But it feels..... weird. Poor Primordus, seems like Anet really hates him for some reason. Fist he takes a one sided beating from a fallen god, than he gets knocked out by the machine made by an asuran teenager, and now a norn dude shows up all of a sudden and makes himself his champion in order to "lead him to his last fight", like he's a dog on a leash. Oh, dragon of fire and conflagration, why are you so mistreated? :/
  23. Same problem here. I can't buy gems on the gemstore because the window freezes after i clik on "Confirm" and nothing happens. I only have my credit card as a method of payment (worked fine for seven years), so if that no longer works i'm afraid i will have to stop giving money to Anet. Too bad for them.
  24. Same from WvW. Looks like servers are down.
  25. Poor Drakkar. He must have been sick of getting killed repeatedly by a swarm of wannabe heroes so he decided to take a break.
