The IG chat should stay a communication tool. And, emojis would take more space than texts in the chat : that also might be a source of trolling. Different people have different tastes, and they won't always align with yours, but it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with making a suggestion to see what others think of it. Personally, I'd take new emotes over emojis any day. Though the two aren't mutually exclusive, I can sympathize with the argument that emojis make chats look more messy (I can imagine unrestrained players will take to spamming them).
