Magnus Godrik.5841
They should get rid of arc dps and implement thier own system. And im sorry to tell you but dps does matter. If everyone played your "style" then the boss would enrage and you would constantly wipe, which will make every1 enrage.

I wish more people reacted that way when I explain myselfI actually already kind of map up my skill position to avoid "mishaps". Unfortunately, dyspraxia enforce muscle memory, to the point that changing keys would result in me fumbling around trying to even move... As for changing class, it's a tough one, my engineer is my first char, and I love it's mechanics, so I want to see it succeed at Something. I did notice I have a noticeably easier time on other classes, but I didn't lavish nearly as much love and care into getting the gear up to snuff (relatively speaking) and finding a way to fight that's at least reliable, if not efficient in time.My guild and I are currently in the process of building up our own raid group, to be able to take things a bit more slowly, without too much heat. We're gifted with a few members who Actually have a knack for raids, and are willing to help us through it, as well as guildies very eager to learn, however long it takes. It's a slow process.I actually have a great appreciation for the party who Did allow me to join their run that one time, as it was my first successful raid, and pushed me to go much deeper into it, and eventually spur the creation of that guild squad. It was nice of them, even if they knew my capacities were not on par with the usual runners. If you do not want to change class i would say to look up kitless sword holo : https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Holosmith_-_Power_DPS_No_Kitor if you really want to stay condi to use the simplified condi rotation: It has an actual pattern and much easier to learn and do correctly on a raid encounter than the meta rota. Illconceived Was Na.9781
Kitless Holo+sword is a lot of fun. And it's much, much, much easier than kitful Holo+Rifle. You have a lot more time to give attention to working on "footwork" and mechanics. (The biggest down side is that the 'cleave' is "too good" in a couple of fights in which you don't want adds to die too soon.)
Naxos.2503
I did manage to jumpstart my DPS to a more useful 18k using more explosives in my rotation. The rest of the DPS will come when my gear is finalized. As it turns out, my build was burning centered. I did reach Very high Numbers with it, but I underestimated the cumulative conditions that are accessible to a pistol pistol holo. I took down another VG with some guildies. I still do some messes due to my fingers fumbling, but having 3 kits active seems to make it so it's not That handicapping (Always a skill active, and a chrono with Alacrity helps even more. Guild raid party is well on it's way too.

MrMouser.6583
If you wanna be special, you better outperform other people. Also remember when doing group content its not about you, its about the group and the goal, there are people out there that don't care that much about what you play as long as you can carry yourself. At the end of the day you are playing an MMO. Hey Blake, imo this is not true at all. I LOVE to have [Slumbering Mistforged Glorious Hero's Breastplate] and [Mistforged Glorious Hero's Legplates] from PvP - they look soo nice - and [Mistforged Triumphant Hero's Wargreaves] from WvW, the best looking heavy armor legy boots. They are very well designed. I love the skins. ❤️ I like the animation of the raid armor too, so for heavy shoulder and hand armor pieces I like the ones from raids the most. For the raid thing. As people have said before, its about dps-checks und team comps. I'm not very good at all and that's why I'm happy that people can see my damage and the boons I give so that they can give advice to me if needed. Be brave. Try to adept to a meta build. There are many dps builds for many elite specs and play styles. I've spent hundreds of hours at the golem in the training area to test build ideas I had, but for team content I use the meta builds bc then others know what they can expect and can see when something goes wrong at my side. This is not a bad thing but a really good one. Have fun Edited January 26, 2022 by Ashreen Destemas.6840 Formating 1 1

That I feel is kinda outdated these days. These days stuff changes fast, and oftentimes the game has changed so much that outdated information is worse than useless. A lot of places just close necroed threads really fast. The other thing is if you're replying to someone who wrote something years ago. That's a little different from having something new to add or ask. But the basic concept remains. If you can use the search function to get your answer, then do that instead of posting at all unless you need more clarity. And in this case, there are many, many discussions on this topic and generally reaches around the same conclusion.
