Which professions turn to be overpowered?

We know devs love to secretly bestow superpowers to one profession per patch so who's turn is it?

Mesmer has never missed a meta, pve or pvp, afaikother vote for long term would be Engi I don't think engi missed a meta yet either. I didn't play in hot era, just core and pof, but I don't recall seeing scrapper at high level, but I've been told it was good in hot.

It's Mesmer, always has been, always will be until the servers shut down. It's Anet's favorite child and the only thing it was ever bad at was PvE in GW1 until the buffed the crap out of it there.

Sarcasm or not, I find this topic rather telling. . . .

Mesmer, and if the cronomancer dominance in the raid scene since their release doesnt hint you how strong they are, and have been, i dont know what will, special mentions to power mirage in pvp, and condi mirage previous to the february patch.

Oh, and remember we had Buker chrono, the single build that blew the first season of pvp.

Mesmers are currently tearing it up in every role of every game mode. They have the best support build, the best tanking build, a good condi build, and a good power DPS build.

Depends on how one interprets overpowered in the OP. But I'll vote mesmer. They have every and some of the best utility in their kit (boons sharing, invul, reflect, pull, cc etc) making them the most versatile class profession if not the best/ overpowered.

Yes, I'm still salty that Guardian is not a viable tank for raids.

Also salty about how any time we come close to achieving our namesake it gets butchered so that another class is superior at the role we should be. WE'RE CALLED MOTHER LOVING GUARDIANS FOR PETE'S SAKE!

Same the op needs better sentence structure

Ranger is very strong in raids, open world, PvP, and WvW.Engineer as well.Warrior as well.Mesmer with PoF since mirage filled open world.Guardian does well.

Revenant could use love.Necro raid is niche but excells at everything else.Rogues annoying.

I'm usually lucky if I can even hit a mesmer, I'm bad I always lose them in their clones.

Still hope for that sweet sweet petswap in beastmode. Would skyrocket soulbeast in the meta.

Mesmer. With the toning down of passive defenses, and with pretty much no damage nerfs coming to mesmer, it will be easier to burst you from 100-0 in one mind wrack. keep in mind they can trait it to have 2 charges now. so a mind wrack, with their gs 4 and 5, then heal, then repeat = gg no matter if you survived the first burst or not.

I hate the mirage...

Maybe just the last grasp of hope rev mains have, who knows.Rev itself is not bad in PvP regards or rather WvW. Just not really able to clear condis. Which could be inproved easily. Would not get them on top though.

QFT. What a shambles!

Mesmers... They were balanced at launch... Now you always need them in raids. They hit harder than thieves, tank and cc better than guardians, have insane damage in raids, best buffs in the game, the most versatile kit ever. They're now better thieves and keep getting ramped up.

As a thief main... I got one thing to say.

THEY TOOK MAH JURB!!!
