Do you name your mounts?

My very first raptor, the base skin, was named Winston. When I got my first raptor reskin, that one got named Nigel. (Don't ask me why, no idea. It just seemed right.)

Going through my alts, a lot of the mounts have names that I recall whenever they get used. None of my beetles are named (too new?) or jackals (rarely use them) and few of the skimmers. More of my raptors and griffons are named. A lot of the names deal directly with their colors (Blue Bunny, Redbird, Black Jack) or with the mounts' special effects. (Brontius, Sparky, Bubbles.) Some are more complexly determined names, such as Dobie for the Elonian Jackrabbit colored like a Doberman Pinscher, or Cornelius for the silver-and-gold Starscale raptor. (Named after Yukon Cornelius, the silver and gold prospector in the classic Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer special.)

Yes I know I'm completely original here. I wish there was a way you could name the mounts in the game rather than just in your head.

I have a character that named his mounts.

I would if it functioned like ranger pet names.

I gave a name to each of the mounts, but not to each skin. Partially because it becomes too much for me to keep track of, partially because I feel like it's applying an effect to the one animal rather than getting a seperate one.

Raptor: BiteySpringer: TotoroSkimmer: ManauriJackal: LinkGriffon: WillowBeetle: Still unnamed.

Yes, I named them:

Raptor: X and F1Springer: F2Skimmer: F3Jackal: F4Griffon: F5Bettle: F6

as in when I f-up the mount I wanted to get on to I go: "damn, that wasn't F5."

Besides that though, no. I do think it's nice though if people put in some more flavor into their pets.

Each of my characters has names for their mounts, they're named after their primary dye colors. My favorite is my Mesmer's raptor, Electro Lemon.

While each character has a different name for different mounts, the Springer's name is the same. And that name is Daisy.(side note: I wish we could physically name mounts in the same fashion as Ranger pets)

Mine are the same on all my characters: Dino, Mr Buns, Fishie, Carlos, Griffy and Petey.

more nickname than true naming.We have Hippity hoppity, zoom ball, speed lizard, sand wolf, erwin killer, and griffon...Poor griffon gets a bit shafted...

Yeah, I have names for all mounts for seven distinct characters. Mostly they are just fitting names from a linguistic background fitting for that character with one notable exception: my engineer calls his Reforged Warhound "iDol" (acronym for: iron Dolyak).

I'd love to be able to name my Springer the name of Bigwig because of the way the hare-like skin looks. Bonus points to those that understand the reference.

One of my Elonian jackrabbits is named Silverweed.

I called him that because the default springer's face kind-of reminded me of Totoro, but I'd love and even more similar skin. (Or a new mount.) Might be tricky with copyright though, hard to make something which looks enough like Totoro to be recognisable without being accused of IP theft.

I call my mount every name I can think of when I press a button and it doesn't work. Like when you jump up but fall instead...or you have a huge bird that can't really fly,

I stopped naming them when I realized that they basically just poof out of existence when you dismount. No sense getting attached to a Mr. Meeseeks.

I wish there was a way to actually put the name into the game. Even if only we could see it I'd like having it there. (And then maybe I could come up with different names for each skin.)
