  1. Really good for killing siege, and random havocs/unorganized.Really bad vs organized anything, and you will likely instadown to retaliation.Still, can be a fun day if you are bored.
  2. This is an interesting idea. If they do, I plan on making the tankiest build I can, and equipping every knockback/launch I can make room for.
  3. This is the same reason I won't make the legendary accessories. People say they cost 2k to make BECAUSE they have an aura, so it's worth it. When a single piece of legendary armor only costs like 300g, why should the accessory be 7 times that. I will wait until they add reasonably priced accessories that DO NOT have a god awful aura to them.
  4. just tear down a bit of meteor dmg is enough. Meteor is one of the skills where damage should be strong. Sounds more like u can’t notice red rings due how game forces players fights in One blob to reduce effort, this as a issue if ur commander and your allies take delay step side moving from aoe hot zone and nearby players will even take more time to dodge or accompany players kiting aoe hot zones. Besides with that much size of groups the spam must be awfull that u can’t even know what it is hitting u due some specs visual clutter and their capabilities to keep their spam alive. Just google for slayers Xd gw2 on google for sovereign videos I think.The only issue with meteors damage, is that you can stack the entire damage, into a single point. It only hits where players can stand, unlike every other aoe in the game, and that is what needs to be adjusted. If you have half on the wall, and half on the side of the wall, than half the attacks should miss, not all hit in half the radius.

Mesmer portal isn't useless anywhere, and it has a 30 sec cd in wvw now, and a giant tell on both the entrance and when the exit is placed.Giving a class perma-stealth, a counter to reveal (multiple uses), AND a portal is a bad idea. BUT, giving them a portal with a 5k range, 1 min cd and no indicators at all is just broken. There is NO counterplay. The portal can be placed anywhere and it cannot be seen. There is nothing to ever show if the thief has a portal down (unlike the mesmer portal). Meaning the thief can jump in and out all day without ever being caught. This is pretty much the perfect example of a broken mechanic.
  6. Which is why they need to reduce the timer to 30 seconds, just like the mesmer portal and add a visible indicator and tell on use. So there is decent counterplay and less abuse of broken mechanics.
  7. The visual indicator and tell on use helps prevent abuse. Reducing the portal to self-use only in wvw, would also help curtail that, but only needed if Anet doesn't want it to have the indicators that the mesmer portal has. They have consistently added a broken mechanic, and then patched it to prevent the abuses from it (like thieves hiding and dagger 5 the wall to stay invisible for example). This needs to be fixed, and not at the rate they are fixing the problems from PoF.
  8. I already covered this in my post. Rifle4x3 = 15 Initiative. That's 3 more initiative than the Thief is going to have at maximum. The Thief is almost always not going to have the 12 max initiative to even do 2 DR's in a row after being marked. This isn't even a problem in the game right now. People are creating a false narrative. If a Thief is in a keep, then he is no more difficult to kick out than a mesmer thanks to Mounts. Should mesmers lose their portal? No, it's been like that since the dawn of the game. I'll save some time and point out the incredibly obvious: here is how it's just as easy for a mesmer: Blink, stealth, mount up, 3 mount evades. Gets dismounted? K cool, blink, stealth, mount up etc etc, place portal, leave keep, stealth, enter portal, blink, mount up, run around enemies. It's a part of the game, learn to adapt and you'll all be a little less stressed about things that don't matter. Yikes! There are easier ways to concede one lost, btw. :3 I agree that the thief portal should be just like the mesmer portal, with regards to it's timer and huge, visible tell to enemies.BUT, right now that isn't the case. The available window to port back in is 1 minute (instead of the 30 seconds on mesmer) and there is NO visual indicator (except to players on your own team). So, until they change those 2 things, it is not just as easy to kick a thief out as it is a mesmer. There are also no perma-stealth mesmer builds (not without friends to help) and mesmer cannot remove reveal. Mesmer drops a portal, jumps out, gets mob jumped on return, the game even has a huge indicator (and short use window) when the portal becomes active. I would agree that those things need to be added to the wvw version of the thief portal. It needs to be visible to enemies, and it needs to light up/flash when it has been activated so that enemy players can see it is active...just like mesmer. Those things need to happen at a minimum, or they need to reduce the number of players who can use it in wvw to 1.
  9. People actually like to scout at 1 point and now it's more important then ever. With the tools available people still don't bother to use half and if that fails at least you can report the portal(s) which do have a visual tell tale. The visual tell is only to players on YOUR team. The enemy does not see any portals. There is no indicator for the preparation, unlike mesmer portals.
  10. I think you need a 7 though, since the anniversary is next month. I think a lot of us have been here since beta, and still play.
  11. Sadly, it's completely broken. But Anet will never admit the mistake or fix it.
  12. At first glance, offering extras to "winning" teams seems like it would be great. In practice, it causes folks to flock to a single server to lock in those rewards. Which is exactly what happened right before those tournaments happened, players flocked to the servers that seemed like they'd be the most stacked in their division/tier (gold, silver, bronze). I played on Dragonbrand at the time and we got smacked pretty hard by a rotation of the standard T1 servers due to losing a good chunk of our population but being locked into gold. During the other tournament I played on FA and we absolutely slaughtered everyone in the silver league due to last minute pre-tournament bandwagoning resulting in us having a higher population than half the gold league servers. Rewards for "winning" just exasperates the current issue with population balance. ~ KovuThis. If the rewarded people for winning, people would exploit/bandwagon/stack even harder than they do now.
  13. Nobody loves their server. People move all the time because what they care about is quality of fights. Server population affects the quality. I challenge you to find any WvW player that's been around for a while who has never moved servers... ever. But they aren't moving for "quality", they are moving for easy fights where they can always win their timezone with superior numbers. On a side note, TC has a bunch of players who, like myself, have been on TC since beta, and have never been anywhere else.

Some of this stuff I go through awfully fast(obsidian shards, fulgarite) and some would make me want to throw you off a cliff(ANYTHING required charged quartz at this point will make me scream) but in general, I agree. And those toxic spores from Kessex. I can't get rid of obsidian shards fast enough. I have 3000 of them just sitting in a bank tab and another 1600 in storage.
  15. You can attack and restealth before the game renders you to the other player. By the time the game tries to render you, you are stealthed again, so the game doesn't ever render you.
  16. There is a trailblazer berserker build that is condition and broken. I'm not linking it, because the buff to the class and conditions is dumb.
  17. Scourge is 2 to 2.5k dmg hits on 10 targets, and there are 20 of them on tag.It's not the only thing broken in wvw, but it is indeed broken. The problem is the design of the spec, so it doesn't appear there is any way to truly balance it. It will either be broken or useless. Anet wants the ktrains to continue, so it will be broken until the next elite spec (if we ever get one).
  18. I play during your timezone. Part of the problem is that a lot of players on your server don't want to be in higher tiers. Reset, map que deep blob.You guys are than a ghost town until you defintely will lose the T3 match.Sometime on Tues/Wed, when it is mathmatically guaranteed that you will drop a tier, huge blob again.The couple players I know. and fight against regularly, keep saying the same thing. People are logging out until they know they will go back to T4. Than they start playing again. You win T4, rinse and repeat.
  19. At the last relink, they had TC as the 4th overall server...I can't laugh hard enough at this. Even with a couple servers becoming a link and a few links becoming hosts, we are not, and have not been, 4th for months (closer to over a year). I have the outnumbered buff so often that last week I finished all my tickets on 4 accts and got my 5th storage (never played) account though to plat. The good news is, even my lowly alts are getting all their tickets each week. The bad news is, there is no way this can continue, with whatever "algorithm" they are using, because it isn't getting anything right. Just like them letting everyone bandwagon 10 minutes after relinks happen, it needs to stop.
  20. Yeah, it's not like each scourge hits 10 players (shade plus self pulse ) for 2k+ each and 50 man zergs run with 20 scourges or anything. That certainly isn't the reality of things. oh wait, that is the meta...I wonder why that is?
  21. Sniff and use skills that can reveal. Not everybody has a reveal, and sniff is useless. Deadeye just removes reveal.
  22. Basically, you're going to see a lot of perma-stealth thieves, hiding inside structures, porting in mesmers.
