  1. The option work for every player, may you be in a group or not From what I know of it, it hide every effect except those who may be beneficial, like skill that buff or combo field. Also, a bit of optimisation has already been done, the most recent one being the change from directx9 to 11, greatly improving the performance when multiple players where there. And you have to understand that when you have like 50-100players actively playing in a small area, every game is gonna have performance issues, unless it has like no effect or barely any, that's just what it is...
  2. Just for clarification, dodge and jump is one of the few exceptions where you're allow to break the one keypress = one action Along with macro for music instruments only (but not on the wintersday music activity) There may be other, but I'm not sure. I don't remember the link, but it's all explained in the tos.
  3. Small correction, bleeding has always stacked in intensity, as well as vuln, confusion, torment (not there at the beginning of the game, thought) and might. But burning and poison were stacking in duration.
  4. You can't access tp in beta character. And if you want to do something "useful" with the beta character, here is a list : - Pay for service in silverwaste, you won't benefit it, but other will - Use feast/communal fire to benefit other - Basically anything shared with other can benefit the community without costing you anything
  5. Set 2 different keybind for both. Your engage and fireball are weapon skill 1 and 2. The dash and descent are mount ability 1 and 2.
  6. The only thing I agree there is pistol guard, as I don't really understand the theme. For the rest, sword necro is logical, sword is the typical weapon of the dark knight fantasy, which is using your own life to unleash powerful attacks, life sacrifice always has been a theme of the necro, so it fit pretty well. Pistol necro is basically the mad scientist, the one that will do morbid experiments, it also fit the necro as light classes are scholars, so potential scientific, since core, we had Oola mixing golemancy (so technology) and necromancy. So it fit too.
  7. Well, first, you do receive less laurels as every reward is the same despite the longer period Second, yeah, it's craftable... with mystic coin, whose main source is the WV, and from which you got less too with WV for this period, those 2 factors combined caused an increase in the mystic coin price. Not cool, and from what we know, Anet don't really want mystic coin to go that high, either. Also, if you were to compare this to the old daily system, that would be the equivalent of not receiving any login reward for a full month, the complaint is legit.
  8. Rifle and pistols are the 2 weapon that make the least sense both on the theme and gameplay. Ranger is basically a nature-based half fighter and mage, with a warden of nature touch, too. Weapons that would make more sense, in an eventual future : scepter, focus, shield, maybe off hand sword
  9. From what I know, Cover is indeed a thing in gw2, as I don't remember that there is a priority in boon rip/condi cleanse, but I would says it's more niche than in gw because the game is more fast paced and reapplying conditions (like stacking bleed) or boon (or staking might) will put them on top off the pile. So in theory, yes. In practice, not really a big thing, iguess?
  10. Well, I'm pretty sure you already had to go in this instance during the story, so you're supposed to know it exist. And the guy literally tell you what to do and where, not everything should be marked, there is a limit to hand holding...
  11. Actually, it's worse than that, the Enchanted rewards booster don't contain the karma one.
  12. I'm pretty sure almost every game (hack and slash included) locks feature behind game progression (so story progression in most non online game). So that's not something unusual in the industry and you should be used to it. Also, you don't need jade bot since you're and hack and slash player, as most of what it offers is unrelated to fight.
  13. Wrong, the completion chest has always reset at the end of the timer, so people were excepting it to reset since it was an end of timer. People didn't expect that the timer was a fake.
  14. Well, to be fair, I don't think the goal for Orr ever was horror. It's more designed to be something oppressing, something like "nowhere is safe, anyone could die any moment and instantly turn against you" And to be honest this sentiment is pretty well done in both the story and environment design. (Well, now less with powercreep, featurecreep and Orr nerfs due to complains, but you got the point) Honestly, horror wouldn't really work in a game like gw2, at least not at the degree you would except. (It kinda work a bit in lws4 and ibs, but let's be honest, it's small compared to a game designed for it) The player character is just too much able in the normal gameplay to allow that.
  15. It's a bug. Do you have a do 10 events one? This one is probably a duplicate one, so when you'll do, it will validate for 2. The only problem is that you will only gain 40aa and not 80, so that's kinda annoying...
  16. Yeah, always has been like that, it's always those 3 one, in a random order.
  17. Well, according to what is written, I see it at quite the opposite, actually. The whole monetization part seemed kinda forced, there, like a "What if you had to monetized it?". It end up at a pretty empty statement like "Could be monetized, but not the core loop", well, the system isn't much more than a core loop...
  18. Use gw2 efficiency. But you have to look at the good place, discovery recipe are character-based so you have to look in the character page.
  19. Well, for a long time, your healer were basically druid and firebrand, your boon provider were firebrand, chrono or renegade, warriors were kinda shoehorn there with banners. The rest were dps with a lot a magnetude on the dps chart. Also, dps were much lower so the minimum dps, despite being low, were harder to get in general. To be fair, if we talk about viable in your terms, I'm pretty sure right now, every class and spec is viable and a good bunch of them could be considered meta (despite the presence of a few outliners). That was clearly not the case a few years ago.
  20. It was not, they actually boosted the healing potential with the rework. (With sandstorm shroud, serpent siphon and blood well) The only thing they nerfed is the revive power, and it's ok since it was clearly op, it would have destroyed the healer meta. Scourge still retains the main appeal of the feature (downed displacement) so it's still the noob carry, it's simply less op now.
  21. If you want to talk average, the average don't have any rune slotted and probably didn't even noticed the change unless someone told them. I would even say some would even benefit from the free relic selection, so that's a plus for them. The one you talk about are those slightly aware about their rune, and it's probably a mixed bag, some probably enjoy the new flexibility and some are mad because they lose their favorite rune, namely : boonspitting rune, summon rune and some outliner like vampirism and 10% health. I'm pretty sure no one complained about on struck, stat convertion rune or some bad on heal/on elite skill that where lost.
  22. And yet, the number of viable options for high end pve has never been so high in the last years. I know you're salted about rune change, but no need to extend that to the whole balance... Aversion loss really is a thing...
  23. Well, it's seem to mean no one cares about Metacritic there as there is like 36 reviews. And for the bad, it seems to oscillate between straight up lies (Wizard vault Fomo!), people who are mad about rune change or wizard vault, and some who don't understand this isn't the full content. Well, there is a bit of legitimate critics about some map design and rift, though, but it's the minority...
