You don't know that. We see a lot of new players hit that level 80 boost and go straight to other content, completely bypassing personal story.

Some players might have multiple accounts and are using GW2E for inventory management among other things.

I don't think things were forgotten. They've just been monetized to make a profit since the game is almost free.

To a point, perhaps, but those modes aren't completely neglected. It's just that Anet has chosen to spend their resources on things that will make the most profit for their shareholders. -
Many of the individual profession forums here have a "share your screenshots" thread of some sort. Just use the forums search in each profession forum.

Because there are a lot of complaints about "no new content; game is in maintenance mode" so Anet probably feels that they can't afford to go back to older things -
Inspecting gear for cosmetics is seen by some (maybe many?) as a precursor to people demanding a full on inspect gear ability, and that's what I feel many don't want as inspecting gear can be used to gate-keep players out of content and/or have the potential to make for some toxic encounters between players.

Housing? I hope not. We already have guild halls and home instances. I'd rather Anet spend their resources elsewhere on things that would benefit a larger portion of the playerbase than housing. It's not needed.

Just because the studio isn't crafting content that one likes does not mean that they are not investing in the game. -
I'm ultra casual, so my builds work for what I like to do. Having said that, I have a deadeye using dual pistols.

Hard disagree here. As a very casual OWPvE player, I travel throughout many maps in central Tyria and although they are not heavily populated, I always find players on them doing all kinds of activities. To me, this doesn't seem to appeal to you, and that's ok but it's a bit disingenuous to believe that there are no reasons to return to older maps. -
I disagree. As long as GW2 keeps profiting the shareholders, then it can go for a long time.

Why get a commander tag if you're not going to be commanding squads? If you just want a map marker, then use the mentor tag.
