  1. The community here does pretty well with giving advice. You just need to ask (both here and in-game). 😉
  2. I can remember being glad that I could finally find guides online instead of buying them at the local bookstore.
  3. I get the sentiment here, but some players simply enjoy map completion and aren't necessarily interested in doing any or all of the events on the map just to do so.
  4. Have we seen any significant shift in the in-game economy? If not, then I don't see the problem here.
  5. Yes, I'm already tired of hearing her no matter where I seem to be on the map.
  6. (sigh) This again. The layoffs had nothing to do with GW2. It was other projects at Anet.
  7. This is actually a fallacy. The customer is not always right.
  8. I would not like this. If it were optional, then sure I guess.
  9. Most liked period? You mean when players left GW2 in droves after HoT release and the forum was chocked full of complaint threads? That period? EDIT: the same period that caused Anet to make significant changes to their release in order to retain players?
  10. Being a mostly solo, very casual player I am finding plenty to do in SotO that I can actually accomplish. And, I can choose to jump into the metas or not and still be entertained. I admire the HoT maps for their innovation, but despise going there (and I'm glad that many players do enjoy them). Never progressed to the EoD final meta because the turtle wasn't worth all that effort and potential time waste for me. I'd rather be doing something else, so I did. As am I!
  11. Because players have been asking for this ever since the first elite specs were released.
  12. This is one of the problems. Not everyone has the same selections, so friends and family can't always run dailies together.
  13. But they are fixing things. Have you read the release notes? https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/topic/135419-game-update-notes-august-22-2023/
  14. I guess time will tell. ANet has the metrics on how often bounties are run (when they weren't an old daily). Perhaps they view the more casual audience isn't engaged with that type of system and that's what brought about the rift hunting content. Also, aren't rifts to be expanded into the later maps? Maybe those will be different from these? As for being disingenuous, I disagree. Since you made the comparison, I'd assume that you prefer the bounties over the rifts. That's being subjective. There were complaints about the skyscale quest but then there were those who stated that they loved them. Same could be said of jumping puzzles. /shrug
  15. Maybe there isn't enough budget for a larger marketing campaign.
