All arching projectiles in this game go further than the stated range. Ranger's longbow goes the furthest because it has the furthest baseline range too. Point being that it isn't exclusive to ranger, but everyone words it as if this is some unique ranger bug.Not even single projectile in this game doesnt have 500 bonus range and barely noticable, it noticable at all. They dont even track you at that range, meanwhile ranger LB does. Not even a single weapon has that absurd range(2000 rofl) and damage.I wouldnt even bat an eye if they hard cap every weapon at stated range. I don't give a flying F about how mad you are about it.Every projectile does it, but NONE OF THEM ARE AT THE LEVEL OF LONGBOW 1. Most projectiles end around 1600 to 1700, Longbow does at 2000. That's just plain unfair and unintended. At least bring it in line.
  2. I'd kill Rox. She's the one I care the least about and I don't think she has any redeeming qualities to her.
  3. They don't have a place in zergs because they favor aoe and boon priority. Ranger offers hardly any of that and doesn't need boons. It's self sufficient. Doesn't change the fact their auto attack is beyond overpowered either.
  4. I like the direction Scourge shades went, but I'm really torn. Sand Savant sounds like you'd just never use shades in zergs to continue being a moving red aoe bomb field at all times. Might not be very ideal to basically forego a large part of the spec in never placing shades. At the same time all the other damage nerfs and changes seem very solid. I'm just worried that this might be a net gain in the end though with those big shades. Bombing becomes even stronger that way too. Also thanks for clarifying that this isn't every single change that's planned!
  5. What if you dont have 9 friends? I believe there's deeper problems if you don't have 9 friends.The problem isn't having 9 friends, it's having 9 friends who all are online and want to do the same content at the same time.
  6. Animation work for all racesSkin for a base weapon + variationsAnimations for all weapon skills (Elementalist, looking at you) Lots more work than just enabling something. I am also pretty sure that, just as with race and class once selected, the weapons you can use are pretty much hardcoded into the character
  7. It's been what.. over 5 years since the last (non bug fix maybe) change to dungeons and you only just now woke up to the fact that dungeons are legacy content? Seriously confused how this could even happen, especially since you claim to not be a new player. Look at Fractals. They're dungeon content now.
  8. What are you even talking about and how does it relate to the title? People who care about that stuff don't really wipe anyway. That's why they want experienced people in the first place.

  11. Posts like this are the reason they never tell us anything in advance. Every time they do it's not fast enough, if they don't then the game is dead and they're incompetent.Also we JUST heard that swiss tournaments are around the corner, is that not enough? Would you rather they never release it now because it wasn't fast enough before? Doesn't make sense to me to complain about nothing being done when the talk about it was that it is almost done.

  13. Hm, it does sort of sound like Jormag has a female VA that was pitched down. Also elder dragons can present as any gender. If Aurene could be one I don't see why one of the original six couldn't be female. I just think it would be freaking hilarious if Jormag - or even just Drakkar - turned out to be female (with the whole Sons of Svanir thing and their anti-female stance)The Svanir got a bunch of new FEMALE recruits, according to dialogue during Dragon Bash, at least I read about that? So they've changed it seems.
  14. If you didn't like the look of what they showed then yes, you should fear for the future because clearly you're not interested in playing it. Is this the whole "gamers are entitled" thing again? Because I feel like that's what many of these posts will have me believe. Yes, this is enough, this is all they announced because that's all that's on the table. We don't know what will come after this. There CAN be more legendaries, there CAN be new weapons. They can decide to roll that in a different format, like how they released the last raid a few weeks after the episode. If you take off that lense of unrealistic expectations this WAS big. We know the new enemy, we know about the map and the story, what our mastery will be. The fact previous masteries will continue to be relevant... that's huge. People looked at this like it was a 100% guarantee for another expansion, but it wasn't. It was "Living world season 5 announcement", which shouldn't be a surprise to anybody.
  15. What I'm interested in is who is narrating it? Is it Drakkar or is it Jormag? Very female and I was under the impressions that the other elder dragons would be "male" in that sense, if they even have a gender.
  16. I would have reversed the two. In literature, the Fellowship of the Ring is a story, a "season" but the 3 book LoTR series is a SAGA. Sagas are bigger than seasons to me. Each individual episode will be bigger because they're built upon instead of just "one and done" type of content. We also don't know how long it will be. Since this is just the PROLOGUE with all the features of a full previous episode. That next part doesn't have to be 3 months into the future either.

  18. I like that they changed it from season to saga, because season in our minds is the full map release, while saga will expand on it further. Cool idea. The new map looks and sounds awesome, the features they announced sound good too.
  19. Thats not the probleme here. bugs get found and reported by players but anet does not fix them. Why? i think because they have not the man power to fix them. That's not really how it goes. You can know where something occurs, but that doesn't mean it's going to be easy to find out why. Since those events are core content, they likely exist for such a long time it simply isn't worth getting a dev to look into what might take a few hours just to fix a bug that may or may not be extremely rare. So yes, some things just aren't worth fixing.
  20. I've recently tried around a bit and used the Hammer trait. I found out that it has no internal cooldown, despite one being listed there. Meaning any CC gives you a guaranteed 10 adrenaline, doesn't have to be hammer. Since Hammer 2 is one of the hardest hitting skills getting a 20% damage increase on it also feels very good. Just some food for thought.
  21. That doesn't mean the rewards are increased, it means what you do awards you with more participation on the event (read: people who are late or in large zergs will need to contribute less to still participate in the event), which should make overzerging the events less likely.
  22. I think any human being is able to put their thumb on space and V and press both at the same time. In fact, I believe even my dog can do it. But since there is absolutely nothing to gain from it, because it is never required for anything there is no reason to do anything about this. It's a learning curve for PvP modes to be able to do it, or you simply don't.
  23. I have my infusion in my backpiece so when I don't want to use it I just hide the backpiece :) But I don't have many that fit my character anyway so it doesn't make a difference to me. It's not a perfect solution but it isn't the worst. Just giving the trinkets a toggle would go a long way though.
