The "loot" in the new boxes is absolute garbage. Seriously, ANet, is THIS what you meant by "improved rewards"? If so, I despair for the game.

I've crafted Nevermore and loved it, interesting collections and mostly soloable, have crafted the precursor for Chuka & Champawat and think it was probably the most interesting of all. Both took a fair amount of time (can't quantify it exactly) but it was fun. Haven't made Astralaria yet so can't comment on how much work/time it takes.

Craft The Moot! Craft The Moot! It's such a fun weapon. Or obnoxious, depending on your tastes. 😀 I started to craft Astralaria but got sidetracked by wanting The Binding of Ipos a little more. Eh, I'll get both of them someday.

Rodgort was my first Legendary Weapon too, ages ago. My only regret was buying the precursor because, without going through the collection journeys of the Gen 1 LWs, I don't feel a real connection to the weapon. Silly? Maybe, but the precursor collections are my favorite part of making a LW, which I have since done many times for other weapons. Chuka & Champawat was amazing, also Nevermore (both Gen 2s), and The Bifrost was fun too. I sold my Rodgort but may make it again some day.

I just finished the new story chapter, after starting it a few days ago and having to stop because of a bug. Oh. My. God. There's an hour of my life I'll never get back. One might think that, as an old lady, I'd loooooove a story about feelings and memories and blah blah blah. You would be wrong. I felt like I just sat through some unholy tweener mashup of Twitter and TikTok. The boss fight at the end of the part of the story in Gyala Delves was so mind-numbingly repetitive that I literally thought it was bugged. And finally, the pièce de résistance, the rewards from the story: a few pieces of unidentified gear, a bunch of LITERAL garbage like broken lockpicks, and a few other items so non-noteworthy that I don't even remember what they were. Those who enjoyed it, I salute you. You are made of sterner stuff than me.

Haven't seen this topic mentioned here for a few years, so here goes: I'm crafting The Juggernaut and would love it if a permanent or at least longer-lasting version of the Mystic Chromatic Ooze was available. It's currently only 5 minutes. Please please please! I don't have it yet but am working on the precursor, and I do think it should be tied to that, not available as something anyone could buy. I love special gizmos that come from actually crafting an item. Thank you!

Same issue with me. 1. The "Return to the Surface..." step has a green check mark but is also grayed out. I cannot talk to Taimi. 2. n/a 3. I have not left the map yet. 4. Chul-Moo is not there. If it matters, the two memories I chose were Blish's and Aurene's. Thanks!

Now that we don't have to do a Strike to get the Turtle Mount, I plan to get mine asap. Could you please bring back the plush Turtle skin? Thank you! Also, more plush skins for other mounts that don't have them yet -- Skimmer, Skyscale, Jackal, and bunny-style Springer.

Amen. I've already been told I'm a wimp for not wanting to do the Strike (thanks, have tried both Strikes and PvP -- hate them. Hate. Them.) so am glad this option is here. It doesn't stop anyone who enjoys doing Strikes from doing them. Now I can get my Turtle and hopefully the plush skin for it soon. Thank you for listening, ANet!

Thank goodness I already own plenty of in-game capes. For the price of this one, I'd expect it to clean my house and also include a mount skin. 1000 gems? No way.

Are ANY of the metas working? I've tried numerous zones, and nothing is working. Sad face. I finally get a day to myself to work on a bunch of stuff for the legendaries I'm crafting, and this happens. Time to take a nap, I guess.

If you see something as a QoL issue, then by all means ask ANet for it. You are not here to gatekeep my or anybody else's suggestions. Unless you're a mod? If you're not, please stop trying to act like one.

The point of bringing it up in the first place is that I'm asking for what I would consider a QoL improvement in thread that specifically asks for QoL suggestions. Look, I think some of the suggestions in this thread are wacky, but someone wants _________, and that's what this thread is for. And while I find the giant turtle following me around annoying, that is by no means the only thing nor the main thing I don't like about the mount. I hate Strikes, PvP, and Raids, and won't do them. Yes, that is my choice. I have long ago resigned myself to not getting many, many game items and cheeves that are only from those modes. With the Turtle, you could originally only get the egg from the meta, which I did, and then ANet changed it and one could buy the egg. Does that stop people from doing the meta? No, it doesn't.

One of the problems is that the word "comparable" does not mean "exactly the same" nor does it mean "unique." Heck, any two things can be compared, making them comparable. I could say that getting one piece of mithril ore is comparable to getting the Skyscale, in that you have to do something to get each one. This thread is for QoL Suggestions, so I made a suggestion that would improve my GW2 QoL; it's that simple. It would not keep anyone who loves Strikes from doing them.

Thanks. I thought that perhaps since they made an alternate method of acquiring the Turtle Egg from Heck that they would do the same eventually with this part of the collection. ANet, forcing me to do something I hate will not make me magically love it -- it will make me hate it even more and tell other potential GW2 buyers so. Look, I get it -- "to get the thing you have to do the thing." I am in no way averse to challenges or hard content. I got the Skyscale asap, I like hard jumping puzzles, I love collections. I've crafted quite a few Legendary Weapons like Nevermore which was quite the journey. But ANet, you said getting the Turtle would be comparable to getting the Beetle. No way.

Chiming in in case ANet really reads these posts. Upon release, I hated EoD and played it a little bit and then mostly ignored it for months. What I didn't like: Slime green everywhere all the time. Research Notes The "dead" atmosphere of New Kaineng City The Dragon's End meta way too hard The Pong-like aspect of fishing Skiffs and Jade Bots contributed to my motion sickness Recently I've come back to it and now think: Slime green is still overdone. Real jade comes in more colors Still hate Research Notes Decided to actually craft a Gen 3 Legendary Weapon, and am enjoying that The DE meta usually fails but not always; still think it's too convoluted Fishing has grabbed my interest for the collections and achievements. Got accustomed to the skiffs' motions but not the Jade Bots' -- this is a "me" problem, not a game problem Hate how you have to do a Strike to complete the Siege Turtle collection. I loathe Strikes, Raids, and PvP. So... better but still not my favorite expansion pack.

I would like to also respectfully request an alternate way to obtain this required part for the turtle. At present, I have this giant annoying turtle following me around with no way to get rid of it. Please don't say "oh, Strikes are easy, you just do this and just do that." I understand the HOW and that's not the issue. Maybe I'll change in the future (doubtful, as I have been playing GW and GW2 since beta) but I do not enjoy strikes, raids, or PvP whatsoever. They have literally brought me to tears in my past attempts, and that's no way to spend my gaming time. ANet, I'd love to complete the turtle and buy a shiny skin for it in the Gem Shop. Wait, what I really mean is I'd buy the plushie skin; it's my favorite. Please consider an alternative method; that would in no way stop people who love the Strike from doing it. Thank you.

Can't beat a boss? Ask for help in LFG or map chat. I get help often within seconds and it's fun to play with other people, especially since my toons are usually such anti-social hermits. I love HP trains too. Party!!!

Yes to everything you said. My bookish toons wear glasses instead of a helmet. 😉 I'm working on that focus, The Binding of Ipos, now. It's too bad they took away the apparent bug that made that big book precede you as you moved along on a mount. Legendary Weapons take me forever but that's fine because I enjoy the journey. The Lorekeeper staff is indeed "chef's kiss." Do you have The Flameseeker Prophecies? I just finished that the other day and keep staring at it.

My inner librarian would like to request more skins like the new Scrivener's Shoulders. Can't have too many books and book-like items! (Why, yes, I do have The Flameseeker Prophecies Legendary Shield.)

Same issue. It almost looks like someone is trying to spell a three-letter word on the wings that I can't post here. Perhaps a reminder for us all to get Antique Summoning Stones, if ya know what I mean.
