  1. lol welcome to online gaming where everything but whatever player X plays is OP as fuck and needs to be nerfed ASAP
  2. lol you people only the ranger forum would ask for a nerf to one of it's own skills because people who hate this class want to see it gutted from the only role it has in WvW amazing... I mean, at least ask for conciliatory buffs to the obliterated Druid if you're gonna try to bargain
  3. its more like rangers trying their hardest to convince ppl that their obviously op builds aren't bad for the game, and that we should look the other way since this class is a special victim with special privileges. More like people who aren't as good as they think they are keep getting ganked by rangers so they take to the forums crying their eyes out, asking big daddy Anet to tip the scales back in their favor so they can feel good about themselves again.
  4. Scrapper easily. A class that can face tank a zerg and never fall below 75% health while pooping team heals is beyond broken.
  5. If that would be so, then answer me why there was so much hate towards rangers (SB) even before mount release? Thank you, nice discuss, we should have another one in the future.Have a good day. Because people in this game are petty as fuck and refuse to ever accept rangers as anything other than free bags. People were acting like the sky was falling back when Anet halved the channel time on RF. About a month later, they all got over their collective pants wetting and learned to dodgeroll instead of just "WM1 Pyro" spamming attacks to kill a ranger. It's the same stupid complaints now as then.
  6. More terrible players crying about rangers while immortal scrappers and scourge bomb just keeps eroding at what's left of the mode. Typical...
  7. I have no idea but I feel really bad for whom ever they have making their armor now. That person did a great job with the Elegy/Requiem armor and a great job with this set. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume the crystals was a third party decision and not a very good one. I'm gonna assume that conclusion too because I LOVE the regular mist shard on ALL of the armor types. I just smacked on the boots (THEY'RE HEELS, EEEEE~) and pants on my condi holosmith and in the middle of trying to make an outfit with the heavy boots, pants, and chestpiece. The artist is SO good, and it disappoints greatly that some dude in the back is like: "Yea man, spikes, they love that stuff. No, we fashion wars people do not 'like' that on outfits or on armor pieces.Ya I have a feeling the original artist would have added the crystals in a more deliberate, organic way rather than just erupting them out all over chaotically. Their sets favor flowing curves, minimalism, and tight silhouettes. The crystals are antithetical to all of these.

  9. Do you have a single fact to back that up? Keep in mind I'm talking about the negative effect of Bond of Vigor. Not what ever perceived fault you find with the mount because it's not a WoW flying mount.
  10. Are you guys really that upset that it'll take a little bit longer to get your floating snot balls?
  11. A: Griffon still loses altitude flapping their wings B: Bond of vigor has an insane cooldown and totally negates the downside to the beetle making it the fastest mount by far but no one cares about that C: You're trading air time for the explicit ability to gain altitude by hovering in place. The griffon can glide for longer but needs to start at a high point to do so and lacks precise landing. Mounts are about trade offs, not just being progressive power creep. Raptor is faster than Jackal but the jackal has better evasion. Griphon can traverse terrain the easiest but raptor is still faster on a clear shot. Beetle's the fastest once charged but needs even terrain and loses momentum on turns. yes... but skyscale is the ONLY mount that actively punishes you for using bond of vigor... as doing so gives you a red flight bar which FORCES you to descend even faster... the griffon can stay in the air much longer and isnt punished for using bond of vigor like the skyscale is...Then that's a bug / unintended interaction and not a problem with the mount itself. Asking for standard benefits from a skill is different than demanding the bar decrease slower by default, or god forbid, the bar never run out.

  13. It won't. The framing they're giving means our shouts are now special pet reliant versions. Unless necro is getting some minion master spec that boosts their own minions with "commands" this isn't new skill type for a new Espec wave. The alternative is we get regular shouts with the next Espec which sounds incredibly boring and not even worth buying.
  14. Yes, I'm sure they in no way meant back as in they want them back as supported, updated game content that sees regular additions rather than being an utterly dead, abandoned system. I'm sure they literally meant back in the game because they thought they were removed via a patch.
  15. Voted neither because neither will be a good use of anet's time and resources. Both will require their own origin map and personal story which will be low level areas to teach newbies game mechanics, not meta farm maps so they will have limited replay value. Largos will require HEAVY underwater content and LOL at people who think that's ever coming. Tengu are more grounded in the lore but at the end of the day, it's just another beastmen race with wonky rigging. Most people won't play one for the same reason they don't play char. They either aren't into the whole animal person aspect or armor is going to look really stupid on them with their skinny bird limbs and tail feathers. Anet will also have to move narrative mountains in order to explain why both have been doing jack shit for like 10 years as the rest of Tyria helps fight the dragons. People always ask for new races and then just go play humans 50%+ of the time with the next highest being whatever's the most sexy monster girl race. Unless female largos are absolute sexbombs, I don't see them being the next draenei or night elves. Anet doesn't really do sex appeal much anymore.
  16. Now if only said rare item didn't require farming a group meta on a map that will be a ghost town in 3-4 months I wouldn't count on it, the meta seems really profitable to farm. And so will the next one. Do you really think Anet's gonna release another map but not entice people to leave the current farm of the month for it? Why do you think dragonfall showers you with AB levels of rares in the first place?
  17. Sic 'Em buff probably or any Ranger buff in a positive direction for the profession, which would make it viable for raids/wvw/pvp Sic' em buff would probably break wvw. ^^ I very much doubt that. Roaming (the only thing ranger is kinda good at, and far from best, in WvW) died long ago. In squads no one wants rangers. You don't play the mode then, because this is plain wrong. No one wants rangers in squads because they steal boons they don't need. They are a perfect "lone wolf" type of class because of how effective they are smallscale.lol no it's because they do absolute garbage damage in a group setting. All of a ranger's ranged damage is front loaded on projectiles that get blocked/reflected by everything now. The only non- projectile damage we have is barrage which nukes your health when used on a zerg because of retal. A rev just spamming CoR into a group will put out more damage than the best possible performance by a ranger in almost every large scale fight.

  19. You know there's this thing called armor. It's provided by gear that has the toughness stat modifier. Maybe try equipping some. I've tried the wombo combo ranger build on my regular zerging zerk/knights/soldiers setup and it's incredibly underwhelming It will still hit reasonably hard against players who are god awful or silly people who play WvW with pve dps gear on but the damage falloff is huge against competent players. You trade a lot of damage via crits for extra armor/hp and it makes the enemy dodging your bursts that much more punishing when you can't just auto them with the LB for 4k a hit.
  20. "2268 armor, 17k health" Have you considered just, I don't know, actually attacking the person?
  21. That's because Rev hammer is ludicrously overpowered in zerg combat Every single class would become magnitudes better if you gave them Rev hammer.
  22. Even if the rig and run cycle is copypasta, it looks a lot better on the warclaw. The thing feels like it has real weight to it while the griffon suffers from "I have bones made of rubber" disease.
  23. I'm gonna be square with you, that's a lot of playing on a daily basis for most people. Earning 1400 gold without TP shenanigans in 2 months is well beyond the scope of most average players. In fact, you're only earning that much precisely because other's aren't doing that. All the value of that loot would crater if everyone else was doing that as well.
  24. According to the word of the law no, but neither is using macros to play instruments and we all know Anet gives 0 fucks if you have a program mash 50 keys for you as long as it's to play Sandstorm on a harp. The pvp/WvW thing is just there to prevent people from match fixing or other general shenanigans. I doubt you're gonna get banned for having a scout account in a tower as long as it on your own server and you aren't using a macro/bot to keep it from afk timing out.
