Josiah.2967
Hi everyone,I currently have a gold Theme. Just recently got my Skyscale. I have tried everything to give my Skyscale shiny Gold Wings and every option has a bright Pink color. I have no Pink selected. Even all Abyss Black shows some pink tones. How can I completely get rid of this? Will this be updated? I will never use it with the pin/purple highlights running an otherwise beautiful skin. maidiance.6920
Unfortunately, pink is part of the Shimmerwing design and cannot be removed. I recommend, if you are unhappy, to try a ticket with support as they may be able to issue a refund.
Illconceived Was Na.9781
It's part of the design. It works better with some color schemes than other. For me, I like the overall effect of the shimmering so much that I'm willing to adjust my preconceived notion of themes to make it work for me. (Although I respect those that aren't willing to accept that as an option.)
Blur.3465
Some colors can 'remove' the effect, but not entirely.Try with Shadow Dyes and other darker ones :)I love how it looks with Shadow Green, I'm personally using that color.
Cragga the Eighty Third.60
I have heard that having your shaders on high makes the pink more prominent. If you set your shaders lower, it might not be so annoying...though other people with shaders on high may still see pink.
Josiah.2967
Hi everyone,Thank for your suggestions. I will submit a ticket for a refund. I bought the other Skyscale pack, because I could not make a Gold dragon no matter what combination I tried. I did find some color combinations that made Blue/Green, but nothing with Gold and something that isn't Pink/Purple.
Zephyr.5382
Have you previewed every single dye in the wardrobe? As others have mentioned, there are certain ones that almost wipe out the pink (though I swear that I found one that did so completely). Also, you have something like Matriarch Brass that you wouldn't necessarily associate with a "gold" color scheme but could come very close. I'd test it if I were home.... Inculpatus cedo.9234
If the Mount Skin is unlocked on your account, the CS Team has no way to 'lock' it, again, so you may be disappointed in their reply.Good luck.
Illconceived Was Na.9781
It also depends on the ambient light. Some dyes "hide" the pink fine in the preview window and in game, in certain areas, the same dyes do not.
Randulf.7614
I don't get the pink hue at all - it's tied to one of the settings being on high rather than medium. Might be shaders
Aneysa.3845
It is possible to get rid of the pink hue. Took me forever to find the right dyes though. I love this skin, but the pink thing is pretty limiting.
Auri.1365
To find the right colors is kind of difficult. With low shaders my skyscale is red/black/white and looks really good. With high shaders I've found no way to use red/black/white. I just get a pink hue and no real black. So many colors look completely different with high shaders, either with pink or green shimmering that doesn't look like the intended color. For me it's not a problem as I play with low shaders, but probably other people think that I've dyed my skyscale absolutely terrible :)
Funky.4861
Set your shaders to medium. Also, have you tried orange/brown tones? Some of them might have gold as a sheen, or at the least no pink.
Josiah.2967
Hi everyone,Thank you for the suggestions. I like playing on near max settings, including high shades. I'm not going to change my settings to make a mount (almost work). I even tried medium settings (which I didn't like) and still couldn't find any gold combination that didn't have some shade of pink in it. Which is for the best, as I want to play with high shaders. I literally tried every color combination (hours of time). This mount was a waste for me. There should be a way to change the glow. Let it default to one of the chosen colors or something. I am really disappointing in this mount, and believe Anet should at least warn their customers that there is a an obvious pink glow that will have an extreme affect on all color schemes in the store to do the right thing and give players a proper heads up.I really appreciate everyone that has attempted to help. Ashantara.8731
It really depends on the angle, but it is possible to make them "less pink":
Ototo.3214
Sorry to hear that but yeah. The pink sheen was one of the main reasons I didn't get the skin.
