I do find it kind of amusing that they gave us all a rock. :D

But the other stuff is nice. I really like having a second set of luminous armour skins, because I found it really hard to choose last year. And the dyes are always appreciated. I've got Abyssal Forest and Fear so far and will be impatiently waiting for my other characters birthdays.

Maybe, since you know you will receive Dye Kits in future Birthday Gifts, don't purchase them or the Dye Kits they are part of, or so very many BL Keys. Then, you can avoid miffness.

That would be an incredible advantage to anyone that started at the beginning, giving them a huge monetary advantage over newer players, and lining the pockets of the oldest players with money from the newest.

I think it makes sense to not have them sellable. There might be expensive stuff amongst them - which could drop the prices. (And who knows ... there might be players that buy gems to just trade them into gold to buy dyes as the TP. So higher prices there are better for ArenaNet.)

Also I guess not that many people will have unlocked all the stuff. Probably onle the ones playing a lot since release and/or caring about unlocking everything - including expensive stuff they won't use ... just for completion.

Salvaging ... or if mystic forge works as someone mentioned above ... I think this is the best option. Would be weird if gifts got sold and that from people that already have everything (or most other stuff) and don't even need more money. :D (I'm socialist, I don't want a bigger gap between rich and poor ha ha. :D)

So being happy about the other stuff is still fine. I mean there is a lot other stuff available with these gifts. (Unless you already unlocked all the armor and stuff with wardrobe unlocks - if they are possible to unlock this way.)

I'm happy about the additional stuff I received on my first char 7 years ago. Feels nice after a long break to not even have expansions on the account yet and still get those gifts. (I bet if I use the chair/rock thing without any mastery number next to my char name some players might think I'm a cheater - and not expect a 7 years account without expansion/masteries. :D)

The armor - along with the achievement point armor - is armor more to my taste. Compared to the stuff available for gems. So I like it.

The lack of new scrolls was bit disappointing, oh no, I can only level five characters instead of... seven or something, things being this way. Well, been making plans, there's many more characters since character slot sale. Decisions, decisions.

Best item is the makeover kit, I mean, the statuettes.I haven't opened any of the one time boxes and I won't unless I happen to look at things next year, I wanted to select all the back items at once. I didn't know there was a weapon or armor skin until I looked recently. I don't recall they were something I immediately wanted though.

Still have to study all the dyes I haven't since Electro and six Shadows, I have just let them pile up since I didn't follow the news on these things. So many dyes!I will never buy dyes from TP so if I see a nice one that is 8 gold I will select it.(As for any trading, I think everything should be traded, but I doubt I would part with them for any gold they still might be if they traded. These dyes are mine.)

I choose to open the Kralkatorrik dye kit as I was missing the "Arcane" dye from the set. :)

I never got it until now because it is one of the most expensive dyes at BLTC at nearly 500 gold...
