  1. We're not playing the same game then. This meta, and EoD as a whole, hurt the game and its community a lot. But Anet seems happy so it's all good I guess.
  2. Add a way to recover unique items like Ley-Energy Matter Converter and Karmic Converter directly ingame since GMs won't help after a point. Add a warning that birthday gifts are linked to a character and not the account, I came back to the game after several years and wanted to start over and deleted my old character that I created on release.
  3. I'm sorry I saw your private message but they removed the code and I didn't copy it beforehand :(
  4. I'll remember it as the expansion that pushed me away from the game.
  5. When I tried to play in EoD I've seen several metas with not enough people or simply fail even with a commander. You're right in saying that all metas rely on LFG to fill instances but most metas outside of EoD also fill without even needing to search for more if you're not "late" for it. For example if I'm on time or a bit early for a meta outside of EoD zones I almost never have to move to another instance to do it. This doesn't happen in EoD zones, at least in my experience, I always had to use LFG and move to another instance and often still fail the metas. And I agree with Ashen.2907, why even bother? The maps are annoying to navigate (and I really enjoy HoT maps), the metas are not particularly fun and often fail and the rewards are bad.
  6. You should try to join a "turtle" group or make your own, I forced myself to do it several weeks ago (and haven't used the turtle after trying it once). It "only" took three tries with several people who never did strike missions, including myself. I didn't find this fun at all nor did I enjoy the experience but at least I'm done with it and could gladly forget about EoD completely and never do a strike mission again. Unless I'm forced to do so in the future, again.
  7. I almost never came back to EoD after capping these masteries, imagine if I could gain exp for it in other parts of the world I would've left EoD zones even earlier.
  8. I'm from FFXI that I played from 2003 to 2021, tried other more recent MMOs over the years including FFXIV obviously; it's awful. GW2 is the only one I keep coming back to even though EoD somehow tainted my enjoyment of the game.
  9. I have all mounts unlocked and I use the Skyscale pretty much exclusively. As someone else said I think adding this mount was a mistake. Since I don't care about going fast with Beetle or Griffon, I take the convenience of the Skyscale over everything else.
  10. Same here, send me a mail in-game if you need a code.
  11. I had to stop using it because of the crashes, even before the latest patch. I'm hoping they won't remove the DX9 version.
  12. This one's good because I indeed find myself playing a lot less since EoD.
  13. At least remove the useless "yeah!" animation every time my character catches a fish.
  14. HoT: Best of the best. PoF: Sound of the saddle. EoD: Is this still GW2?
  15. I've been in organized squads with commanders three times since this morning, three failed attempts. Five now*
  16. EoD and its final meta quite clearly hurt the game and I'm surprised they haven't done much to fix EoD's many issues, some of them being quite damaging to the game and its community.
  17. I don't know how they managed to miss the mark on so many things with EoD but to me something broke in relation to the game. If I could refund EoD and pretend it never existed I'd do it in a heartbeat to go back to the way GW2 was before this failed expansion. As someone else said in a comment a while ago regarding EoD: egos won.
  18. In my case it's not only Dragon's End meta but I find myself playing a lot less since EoD and all the time wasted in DE is probably a part of it. For the first time since I started playing GW2 I felt like there was a lot of wrong in EoD and the direction they seem to want to take for the game. I never told myself "okay this is not fun" or "this feels forced", until EoD. And I really don't mind a challenge as an avid FFXI player.
  19. +1 for this setting. Also add a setting to disable the sound of the jade bot as I find it particularly annoying. And take a page from the ancient (but more advanced than jade tech it seems) Itzel lore and make it so that we get the buffs and batteries automatically when we get close to them. Or even charge the bot automatically, with things like solar power or by drawing power from that awful jade green everywhere. Oh and merge both defensive and offensive jade protocols, we have more than enough clutter already. Or simply get rid of the jade bot altogether, turn ziplines into... idk bouncing mushrooms and updrafts, remove protocols, replace the mastery track with an "Ugly Jade green overexposure resistance" mastery track that gives us bonus HP, bonus damage/defense in EoD, other buffs... and reward quality decrease for balance. I could go on and on but props for trying to make EoD features/maps/events as annoying as possible 😄
  20. They should consider infusing this map and meta with fun and replayability, adapted rewards that can benefit all active participants and actual good, well thought-out game designs. Then consider doing the same thing for the whole expansion. I am starting to wonder if the surprise 4th expansion announcement was meant for us to look the other way while they deliver the most underwhelming expansion to date, by far. As they will clearly never admit that the expansion is underwhelming and that Dragon's End meta is a failure. Welcome to Anet's Square Enix era where they will shower us with dev updates and PR stunts while pretending to care about and listen to their playerbase and lying to us in the face at the same time.
  21. Quite underwhelmed, I took my time but I can't say I've enjoyed this expansion and it's the first expansion of this game I didn't enjoy. The maps, to me, look quite bad, empty, needlessly vertical and are annoying except maybe for Seitung Province. The metas are not fun, the story is meh. The sense of fun, discovery and exploration that I was used to on GW2 is not really there, the maps don't even feel like GW2 maps. The green looks particularly bad, all the jade bot related tech everywhere look bad. I like the fishing, as basic as it is, it will be even better when they remove the useless "yeah!" animation every time I catch a fish, it feels like I'm playing FFXIV with the "quest accepted/quest complete" spam, we're not stupid. All in all, I will now pretend this expansion doesn't exist, sadly ignore this part of the world map and go back to the way the game was before its release, with fishing unlocked as a bonus. I am guessing the devs had fun creating this expansion without really thinking about what makes a game fun for the players. Let's wait for the next living world episode...
