    That's because GW2 doesn't have a subscription model. Maybe if you paid Anet the same as you do for WoW monthly, you'd have enough gems to buy the skins that you want.

    I'm not sold on the fact that for a game rated 13+ that Anet would want to actively encourage characters running around their game in their skivvies.

    Are workstations not available in the various lounges? I don't have any access to lounges, so I don't know. But if they are, wouldn't having a portable one be a net loss of money for Anet if people purchased that instead of lounge passes? Unless the portable ones were the same price?

    Don't know if it's the same or not but was doing Tier 3 event in Central Tyria, saw the circle and thought about this thread so I hopped into it and was summarily downed.

    Well, since everyone's input is welcome, I want the old MH sword back. Keep the buffs, but return the movement. I know, it won't happen but it's on my wish list.

    All of that sounds best to be in an instanced content like SM or raid, IMO.

    I very much fall into this category of players who simply do not do the events at all. I have no interest in legendary anything, so this content and the essence rewards are meaningless to me. I poked around on the new map for a little while, but just don't go there anymore.

    Polls on these boards are inherently flawed as the population on the forum is not a large enough sample size. I'd rather Anet remove polls entirely as they serve no real statistical purpose.

    It is a well-known and successful marketing tactic called Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). If it didn't work, Anet would certainly be doing something else.

    I've done the core story all of the way through once on my main. I also use my main to open the new maps and do most of the story for those. I think that my other dozen or so toons are all stopped at the first attack on Claw Island step because I really don't care beyond that point.

    People can enjoy HoT maps without enjoying raids. The two are not inclusive. Personally, I feel that raids should never have been introduced and that Anet should have stuck with fractals. /shrug
