  1. As long as you are at your computer when doing it you are not breaking any rules. If you are away from your computer when doing this then you are violating rules and could be warned or suspended for it. That said a good portion of players will just report you on sight whether you're afk or not just for using this farming method. So long as you at your computer though and can respond to any whispers you get from potential Anet employee's who are checking to see if you are afk or not you should have no problems. I'll do this. If it looks like someone is botting, I'll go ahead and hit that Report option and then move on and let Anet deal with it.
  2. Artificial scarcity. It's a marketing tactic to propel consumers to purchase items when they become available on the chance that they won't be available again or won't be available for a long time.
  3. I've bound mine to Alt+1, Alt+2 for the "first" set (build/equipment) on the character, then Alt+3, Alt+4 for the second set. It's two key-binds, sure, but really fast for me to swap builds. One ones that I've purchased the third set, I use Alt+5, Alt+6. Easy (for me) to press Alt and then 1, 2 in rapid succession (or 3,4 or 5,6) to swap out.
  4. Easy because apparently they laid of too much employee and senior staffs? Or maybe people quitting anet too. If you look at anet career post they look some people to fill crucial position. Which mean they are currently undermanned and of course we got underwhelming "new things" in result. They just doing the minimum (or below minimum maybe?) to hold community's interest like when they announce alliance to keep people hope but never deliver it. Layoffs had nothing to do with GW2. I really wish people would stop saying so. they were on GW2 payroll, but they were working on "other projects". that is not "nothing".this means is a lot of content missing from THIS game.content they are sorely missing now. How does people who worked on other projects unrelated to GW2 mean missing content from GW2 when they were laid off? Those same people working on other projects were likely doing that during LS4 too. have you ever worked ? next time youre getting you car fixed, try to convince the mechanic to fix your boat engine too , without paying extraa job is a job....not 2 jobsThat metaphor doesn't even work.
  5. Ok, I agree that there is less effort (and resources spent) in making outfits as opposed to armor sets. This was a business decision on Anet's part, from what I can tell. I disagree with your definition of "proper effort" as that is a subjective point of view, but thanks for clarifying what you meant by it.
  6. They won't make as much money with the number of armor sets that they can with the number of outfits that are being released. Armor sets take a lot of resources; outfits, not so much. I well aware that Arenanet won't bother making as many armours as they ought to do and instead chose the cheap way out.But that doesn't change what I'd rather see them put in proper effort. How do you define "proper effort"?
  7. There are worse things that you can do to a chicken, but they won't let me post such things here.

  9. Supporting GW1 is back-ward thinking. I believe that the company should look forward, to things beyond even GW2. I would not like to see what limited resources they have now being split to support a game which has been on maintenance mode for years.
  10. What evidence do you have to support such a claim? I know that for my play-group, none of us enjoy PvP so your point wouldn't impact us at all. IMO, GW2 is more PvE centric than anything else. I don't see anything that would change players' minds to suddenly start playing PvP.
  11. Reminds me of the old Queensdale Champ Train days when some poor soul would spawn the cave troll out of sequence and summarily get hammered for it by the zerg. Fun times. /s
  12. If you've already searched, then you should know the reasons. As far as we know, those reasons still remain.
  13. Voice chat applications weren't as prevalent in 2000-2014
  14. Anet determines what counts and what does not count. Use the report feature in game if you are unsure. You mean with the same message:"Thank you for reporting this incident. We understand that their behavior can be frustrating and we appreciate your patience as these investigations take time" But then proceed to do nothing at all for 6 months. I've lost all belief that they actually do anything with the reports after activly going after cheats/bots but still seeing them in the game for months, after many reports. So as a result I will not defend it. Defend it or not, it is the only recourse we players have. Whining about it on the forums isn't the answer either. Meerly accepting it because someone says its the only option you have, is also not the right thing to do. This is how we ended up with the EA problem we have within the gaming industry. I can completely understand WP's reaction to active cheaters in the game, as really he was reflecting how a lot of us feel about the game and the way its being handled. If we can not relay this onto the company, then how do we get things changed?Good luck.

  18. A company can make money and yet still lose revenue. "Making money" doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as "Making profit".
  19. I prefer the open world style of GW2 over the instanced content of GW1. So, no for me.
  20. Yeah, we keep doing that from time to time, and yet my spouse never gets the drop. Seems like everyone else does. :(
