Depends on your play style. Friend of mine uses rifle holosmith and only engages holo-mode when pressed. Me, I charge in and immediately trigger the forge. Either way works, but depending on your preference, your build will be different.

Not living outside in the cold and eating food is a purely optional feature to real life. Exactly. Having a shelter and food to eat are conveniences that make life better for most people. However, your comparison is flawed as people won't die from not having this mount. Also, for basic survival, one could argue that food is a requirement. Having this mount is not a requirement for the basic features of GW2. Or perhaps I'm missing the sarcasm in your posts?

Like that idea, still get the sentimental hit, but new as well. Obviously the sprawling city would need to be an important feature. Flying would need to be banned in the city ofc, as it would destroy that maze like aspect. City has grown taller over the centuries and gliding could be really cool. Why would flying have to be banned. If you like the map aspect, and want to travel through it on foot, then you have the option to not use mounts. Please don't let your preferences dictate how others should be able to enjoy the game.

It does deny them money as they don’t receive any from that transaction. Not that specific transaction, no. However, it's two different transactions that are generating the money. First, another player buys gems and then converts them into gold. Our template-buyer then converts gold to gems. Because of the way the exchange rate works, these two transactions generate money while removing more gold from the in-game economy than was introduced. And yet the gold to gem rate has been increasing since launch indicating that more gold is entering the exchange than being removed. You can thank the gold farms for this. Anet has made it much easier to farm gold to purchase gems instead of otherwise encouraging gem purchase via real money.

You can do the mission if you party with another person that has one of the help the skritt missions, but it won't go down in your personal story. Are you sure? Because I heard it's possible and completely doable. Yes, I played many missions with many different characters that my daughter has made. In all cases the choices she made went into her personal story journal. I can go and do the mission with her but after I leave the instance nothing changes for me.You actually get a message telling you that you don't get credit because it is not your story instance.

I play OWPvE almost exclusively and the engineer kits aren't viable for me and my experience. Loved turrets until they nerfed the ability to toss them. I do enjoy my holosmith, but I still don't use any kits. I'm sure that I'm not getting the most out of the profession, but I really don't feel it works all that well for open world.

So ... if Cantha wouldn't be like it was 250 years ago, it would be completely new. Why not just go to someplace completely new, then?

The gems were already purchased by someone. I think the point is that by purchasing additional slots by whatever means shows Anet that they are accepted by enough players that they can continue to sell them in this manner and not change the entire implementation (which is what many are requesting).

I wouldn't recommend doing this.

I'm bored with farming for gold. If I make more than 20 characters, can Anet just give me gold?

When you're berserk, you are out of control so I don't think that you should be able to choose to end it. Just my opinion.
