  1. I'm guessing that is is more difficult to ignore a paying playerbase rather than the F2P model that ANet uses with GW2?
  2. Not if you have to work for that 1G. We already accomplished enough to gain the shard. Why should we have to do more to make that reward ... rewarding?
  3. No, but they are empty rewards for (I'd guess) many players. I think we'd like for them to mean something more?
  4. Shared Inventory Slots are the way. And it really doesn't take all that much effort to use them.
  5. There are at least 4 threads about this in the Bugs forum.

And so on and so forth for the previous months. and none of them are things they should've fixed months ago, you're looking at stuff they fixed for that one patch, not for old bugs they never bothered to fix.also, all of the fixes they did would cost them if they didn't fix it, they even add stuff to hide their own lack of support. That wasn’t your post. Your post wasn’t ‘old bugs being fixed is a rarity’. It was ‘bugs being fixed was a rarity’. And that’s what I responded to. Perhaps you should edit your post if you said something different than what you meant. no, every bug, even from 7 years ago, has the right to be fixed.don't try to hide behind current fixes of current problems when bugs that exist since launch are ignored, so yes i responded correctly. If you assume infinite available budget and dev manhours then of course all bugs should be fixed but if budget and manhours are finite then the most important bugs should be fixed first and longevity of a bug is not the most important criteria. The impact of the bug on players is far more important and I doubt people would be happy if the devs spent time fixing bugs based on how old they are instead of how important they are. Not to mention that it has been stated before that fixing some bugs may very well break major things, so they have decided not to expend resources toward them.
  7. You can simply watch this thread for updates to the Gem Store: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/458/news-gemstore-items-new-returned-sales It is conveniently stickied near the top of this forum, too. ;)
  8. Are you talking about core ranger or soulbeast or druid?
  9. Not everyone likes Serpent's Ire or finds it interesting. Just saying.
  10. SB‘s damage is higher than ranger’s though. When you are merged with your pet, you can extra stats based on the type of pet. Furthermore, there is a trait in the BM line that increases your pet’s stats (and when merged, your own stats) even more. Increasing your own stats is far more valuable than increasing your pet’s So, rather than tinker with the pet merge mechanic (and pet swap, too), maybe they should have looked at the coefficients when rangers merge and made adjustments there?
  11. How would you notice this with all of the other visual clutter?
  12. Or, just play the game, earn gold, convert to gems and buy keys. Or, spend a little real life cash to support the game and buy keys.
  13. But that’s not what SB is. Ranger without a pet would just be ranger completely without a class mechanic, literally the thing that defines the class. It’s like, “hey, I want to play Mesmer without shatters”. At least with SB you can emulate that experience of not having a pet, except Anet is stopping you from intentionally gimping yourself significantly.I agree. I was just pointing out that there were some players asking for a pet-less ranger instead of being perma-merged.
  14. Agreed, This one is one of the biggest events from LW1 that we need back since a significant amount of players who were there for this event were completely unable to experience it.When the Karka first landed in LA the lag was so overwhelmingly horrendous the game (for me at least) went to like 1 frame per minute.. no joke.It was utterly unplayable and all I saw was everone freeze, screen full of pink crabs, everyone dead.. disconnect XDI wasn't able to get back in the game until the event had passed and I had missed it.Out of every living world event to date, this one remains the biggest disaster of them all by a longshot. OMG I so remember this just like you described it. It was ridiculous.
  15. I'm not sure that there "needs to be a better solution". You can "want a better solution" and suggesting options is fine, but to say that there is a need for one.... I'm not sure that Anet would agree.

  17. I don't WvW or PvP and this affects my game play and enjoyment in OWPvE greatly. :(
  18. So your fine with always the same high level players run slamming everything away in front of the newbies in low level zones with hyper speed? (which invalidates the all good builds aoe argument, which is not combined with the mount speed). Not ok. Not defendable. Except for some nice mentors around that hold themself back this is the practice most of the time. Mounts fine, misusing mounts to harrash other (new) players, not ok. I spend a lot of time in Queensdale and Wayfarer and I haven't seen this as a problem unless the zone has a daily, and even then I pop my mentor tag as politely ask people to not mount-kill during events (many do comply, but there are those who tell me to pound sand). I really don't see this rising to the level of harassment as you stated.
  19. How would it add immersion? anything that slows players down from the rush Anet pushed us too is a good addition for immersion, it also is quite a strange question to ask how fishing (and allot of other things) is not immersive.the question is more, how is it not immersive? Anything that removes players from the experience detracts from immersion. Random do-nothing activities remove the players from the experience. What you're asking for is the opposite of immersion. The character is the main hero of the game. The character is out to save the world. Why would he/she be fishing? To me, that would break immersion. and YOU don't have to use it, doesn't mean others can't enjoy fishing.True, but I believe that most of those who are opposed to this idea don't want resources spent on it that could be spent instead on making improvements to the game which would benefit a larger portion of the player base than those who want fishing. PvP is oone of the the smallest portion of the game yet it got a huge patch last thuesday, what i want and what you want are completely different but no less improtant.PvP is also a mode that was available pretty much on release. It makes sense to work on part of the game that has been around since then rather than spend resources on a mode/system that doesn't yet exist. I'd argue that whether or not you or I believe something is important is not relevant -- it's what the Anet deems important since they're the ones who have to answer to their shareholders.
