  1. What's the difference and purpose between the two? Raids offer more Bosses to kill in a single instance(?).
  2. Slight damage increase & some damage mechanics added here and there. The champions dies slightly slower, not sure if its because of splitting into smaller groups. Ended the fight a minute or two faster than usual. Felt the same so far, no luck with the rewards (day 1 after the change).
  3. Imo its experience, in the end it requires time(how firm is their basic, could be gained from other gaming exp). Agree, to improve needs practice. For that, having basic knowledge, what to expect or even better a "good teacher" with insight & patience helps alot. Eg. Mount-glide-drop and estimates/instinct to land, cutting one or two of the action won't help. The depth of the water; shallow or deep, both requires to float, the person holding the hands needs to make sure they keep floating till they're used to it. Even good swimmers can drown. How I view it, There's a wide range of example to give. But for Grothmar's Boss, it attacks randomly every 4-5 seconds. Requires 3 consecutively attack on the same player(s) to be downed, giving healer(s) a minimum 12-15 seconds(possible more) to heal which is more than enough. Further dampening the damage will make the boss attacks meaningless. (Which imo already is; harmless flashy attacks when there's healer(s).
  4. Grothmar? Just afk auto attack with range weapon. Still end up getting Gold, everytime. Even with 1 pug went afk, after collecting all the mini boxes. While the other was still collecting the boxes when we started the encounter (did use the beacon when the boss was at 40% ish but ends up fully dead for using the beacon once its started). The squad leader tried calling, ready check etc. Sometimes do end up dead, "healers must be slacking" while I was alt-tabbed :tongue:. The boss doesn't do much with healer(s) around, unless they're afk. What was the situation like? Grothmar Strike is as simple as it can be. Can't say for all Strike/Raid bosses. (Eg. Boneskinner bug/design/balancing). Try to identify what caused the nearly wipe situation, then only on how to improve it. “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.” -Einstein
  5. Subjective question and varies depending on individual, similar to "fun". But something to do alone but preferably with friends or other players(its a game after all). Enticing/rewarding to do it repeatedly. With a sense of achievement(could be a challenge etc); something to talk about, share or even boast. Can be something simple, eg. playing a Magic cube. One could enjoy something but without the qualities; zero sense of achievement, nothing to talk about or person to share experience with, unrewarding etc...is hollow/boring. Eg. Enjoyed a movie but no one interested or to share topic with. It may have been good, but unlikely going to rewatch it.
  6. You're not wrong, there's another aura ticking around 882 damage every 3 seconds(can't be avoided).
  7. Exactly the scenario I'm trying to avoid, resorting to stacking scourge barrier/healers (trailblazer requirement). Also, didn't last long enough to see if the torch pedestals can still be permanently destroyed. With the current mechanics, players are bound to take damage even if the mechanics are done. Tweaking the damage won't help, either a killzone or survivable with healers. Not sure what can be done about this to make players do torches. (Eg. Maybe make the Aberrations invul and give player(s) who did torches a temporary buff which allows them to kill minnions. Some melee abberations to avoid stacking reflect :wink:)
  8. @"Fire Attunement.9835" Suggestions/ideas for consideration: 1) The fight is too long and players won't get any reward at all failing (even if its a close kill). Possible to get seperate rewards for each section/checkpoints for participation(?). Also as an incentive for players to stay for the whole fight instead of AFK/ coming at the end and get the full reward. 2) Players standing in the green circle gets a buff "Inspired Strength - Improve damage dealt and movement speed" but I can't find any info on this. Can we get a clarification on how it works (damage modifiers if theres any)? 3) Took years to collect Tequalt's Weapons and still uncompleted, the new skins are a good addition but it will be a pipe dream to get it fully collected. Probably will be salvaged as well like any other ascended weapons. Would be great if salvaging it gives Almagated or other useful materials to craft its series, instead of Vision Crystals (hoarding too many from ascended salvaging already). Bugs encountered : 1) No rewards given after successfully finish the event. (Auto loot doesn't seem to work on the final reward "ice chest" either?) 2) Mobs got pushed into the wall stalling the event (into the tunnel behind because its hollow) when Jhavi was channeling to break the ice wall, to open the tunnel. (Suspect there are players parked/standing behind the wall/tunnel from map swapping/previous successful event and pulled the mobs agro).
  9. @OpUnlikely, most of the changes seems to be for PvP/WvW. Aside from Soulbeast(big buff) and Engi(minor buff) for PvE. I don't play Rev but I don't think the tradeoff changes will improve Alcgade.
  10. If that's true, it's a very bad change. Players were struggling with lit the torches strategy before, what's the odds of doing it now with the damage amplified :warning:. Heals won't reach them.
  11. Flying lizard (eg. Draco Volans) for Griffin(changing the skin to gecko species/theme). Beautiful colouration and would be cool seeing it "crawling" :tongue:. Both glides but might need to improvise for the flapping.
  12. Only suggestion I could think of:Make your own group and keep in touch with the players that joined. If the other party can play together, they most probably available around that hour; arrange/schedule a time. I don't think Anet can do anything here, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong. Shaking the META won't solve the problem, just shifting it.

  14. Just my assumption here. Might have got it confused with "My personal fractal level" together with "Agony Resistance required". If the number is written in:"White" indicates you're alright or surplus,"Yellow" will hurt and"Red" will down the player. Players can check the total AR in equipment tab, same panel with stats. Edit: Astralporing's explanation makes alot of sense too.
  15. Get enough stacks, find a secluded or favourite corner, kneel/sleep and AFK.
  16. Possible with average/good, unlikely will obtain very good by doing less things; usually. Axe/axe Berserker - Mash all weapon skill and Decapitate whenever possible. Alacrity Renegade - More to utility instead of dps, simple & basic maintain Order from Above and Kalla. When good with that go for full rotation, simple because of energy limitation, more to muscle memory. Final say, do your best. Stay on target, make sure all damage/skills connect continuously without dying. CC breakbar whenever possible(unless there's a strategy to hold/not to).
  17. Hopefully, and for Eternal Ice too. Going to explode if the game kept introducing new currency with every new episode.
  18. Depends on what augmentations is being suggested and purpose for it. Personally, feels like not a good idea; at least for now. If its for a currency sink, would prefer it to be something unique eg. skins, craftables or profitable materials(to make raid more profitable). Any augmentation(similar to fractal) is a power creep/ nerf to raids. Exposure, applied to specific wing(s) or to all? If its the later, it might create issues(probably balancing) unfavorably to some of the bosses. Balancing issues; will future :lol: raids be balanced with augmentations in mind? Difficult for raid starters without augmentations :fearful: but easier for augmented :sweat_smile: players, if or when a new wing is released.
  19. Grothmar's strike is dull, mashing buttons or simply afk (most of my run have one or more with 0 to 2k dps). Can't complain on the rewards considering the difficulty :frown:. No luck on the unique shoulder skin yet, nice to have but can live without (while a friend got his after 3 months of hardwork! RNG). Bjora's strike is simple and easy to understand/nothing complex. Already gotten what I can with Eitrite Ingots (relatively easy since players can get it outside of strike :lol:). Which leads to; is it worth to do it for gold/silver; rares/greens unID bag.
  20. Players are not encouraged to do the torches. The heals & boons in game ain't designed to heal like other games; most if not all requires stacking or be in range with no proper targeting. Players will only be singled out to be targeted by the Aberrations while doing torches (plus torches get destroyed even while its lit and gets harder to keep up; 2 torches goes off instead of 1 at a time as the boss HP lowers). If thats not convincing enough, having player(s) away from the boss encourages it to cast grasp/aoe zones.
  21. Clear up inventory, salvage soulbound equipments, keep the bag(s) for future alt.Safe to delete after imo or keep it for birthday gift annually depending on vintage :tongue:. Optional; complete personal story for rewards, classic skins and black lion keys.
  22. Brandstone multitool is detect/mark(increase yield of dig site) and dig up chunks of Brandstone that fall on Istan. Home instance node is an optional item for players to mine in home instance once per acc, daily.
  23. As per title, should deserters for festival activities be penalized timer (eg. Snowball Mayhem, Dragonball Arena, Reaper's Rumble etc.) to prevent system abuse?Players on the losing team can drop anytime, this will cause the game to trigger "autobalance" which will randomly select a player from the opposite team to be forced (if there's no volunteer) to join the other. A form of punishment for the victim usually :frown: (losing team). As for why currently its bad : Most of the time, team's number will still not be balanced after the reassignment, where the losing team will still have a shortage of 1 player.Cause the reassigned player to drop the game as well, feeling unjust. Cycle continues.Worse, the "deserter" re-joined the game and is placed into the WINNING team instead, since there's now a vacancy after a player was reassigned. Thoughts :smile: ? Feel free to drop any suggestions or ideas to help/solve the issues.
