I feel your pain. Because of hand issues and general klutziness, I have not been able to even get bronze on this. If I don't rush, I fail the time limit. If I do rush, I fall and die/don't complete. People say, "Oh, just do this and just do that." I know how to do it and understand the mechanics, am physically unable though, and have tried literally dozens of times. I don't want things handed to me with no effort, but how about if you thoroughly try yet fail a hundred times, you get an A for effort and the reward. Wow, that sounds pitiful. I AM pitiful in this puzzle.

As others have said, read up on the mounts and progress through them. PoF came with raptor, springer, skimmer, jackal, and griffon. Later roller beetle, warclaw (obtainable in WvW but useable in PvE), and skyscale came along. Getting those three is a bit more onerous, although the beetle is fairly quick and easy. Don't despair! Take it a little at a time and enjoy the ride. Literally.

Stelawrat, I never looked at it quite that way; thank you very much. I love my main and most of my alts, but I have that ONE Asura that for whatever reasons, isn't quite right and I never play her. Now I see the best way to use the boost.

Oh, I agree. I've been playing since the release of GW1, and while I like to have alts, I'm in no rush to create a new one right now nor to use the boost. Wish I could save it for the release of EoD. No biggie, though.

OK, got my preorder items of a shared inventory slot and a max level boost, but I can't move the boost out of the slot. I don't want to use it now; I want to save it for later but I want the shared inventory slot emptied out. Am I SOL?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but didn't they mention something like the new Legendaries being like baby Aurene in the precursor stage and then like adult Aurene (crystal-looking, sparkly) in the finished stage? Maybe the precursors will be more impressive or at least cuter than the completed weapons. Have any pix of the precursors been teased? My Asura would like a Baby Aurene staff. ETA: Yep, just re-checked the livestream and they said, "The precursors represent baby Aurene." I wanna see one!!

Get the 4K gems, convert to gold, buy lots of the stuff you need for the Skyscale. Getting it now is way easier than when it was first introduced.

Agreed. Fishing would be bad in GW, but killing hundreds or thousands of ____ (White Mantle, ettin, pocket raptors, Branded, and on and on and on) is FUN! ??? I'm just waiting for the gluten-free and low-carb crowd to protest some of the recipes our chef toons can make. < eye roll >

^^ This. Wasn't there an IBS episode a while back that initially promised some new, better weapons than the ones in the previous episode, so some people including me dumped the old ones. Then it turned out you needed those to get the upgraded ones.

Speaking as a wuss and a klutz at this game, don't nerf it! I joined a public group and it was way fun. This kind of content is usually too hard for me but I can hardly wait to play it again.

I think there is a huge range of thought on this JP and any other ones with glides/jumps around blind corners, exact pixel accuracy and/or timing needed, and so forth. At one extreme end of the spectrum are players who think the only TRUE way to do a JP is solo with no Mesmer portals, no teleport to friend, no YouTube guides, no wiki guides, no TACO, no mounts, and no Prototype Position Rewinder. At the other extreme would be players who say heck yeah, use all those things immediately. I'd venture a guess that many of us are somewhere in between. Me, I always to try a JP on my own first with no aids at all. Stubborn? You bet. After an hour or so, if I keep falling, dying, or otherwise failing, then I'll look up a YT video and use my PPR. Point is, there's no wrong way to do it. That's why this is a game, not a real-life test.

I was in the same boat. Wanted to do it on my own but tried for hours and couldn't. Use the LFG option and find a group with a helpful Mesmer or two that will port you through. Got in a great group that ported me through the entire thing in about 5 minutes. Be sure to tip your "porters"!
