I think it looks very intriguing, and mostly what I want from EoD visuals is to be different from what we have in the base game, HoT, and PoF, so yeah, I hope it really looks like this!

Although we don't know at this point what will be required for the EoD legendary weapon, I'm glad we get the one free precursor. Personally I'm banking Mystic Clovers, Mystic Coins, gold, a Gift of Battle, T6 mats, and then adding time-gated materials as I can such as lumps of mithrillium, etc. Oh, and I'm making charged quartz crystals. Don't know why, maybe the idea of glittery charged quartz looking Aurene-like, but I expect that to be an ingredient somewhere. Total speculation!

Not every game is for every person. That said, I solo 95% of the time in GW2 and love it. I never have "nothing to do." Have you tried crafting? I find it fun but some don't. I love exploring on my own, don't like strikes or PvP so I don't do that content. If you do want to try group content, it's easy to find a beginner-friendly guild. I agree that some guilds and some players are horribly rude and discouraging. Get away from that toxicity.

We don't need emotes at all. I'm trying to get out of the childish knee-jerk reaction habit of using them myself. Just a bunch of useless pixels.

Mine shall be Sheldon. I'm sure there will be skins for it and various dye schemes, not just the green. Do wish they'd turn down the fluorescent green in general, though.

The new cape is really gorgeous. But what's with the quiver? It appears that the arrows are in there with the points UP, which makes no sense. Yes, I know it's a game, but why aren't the fletched ends up? No one would store their arrows so that they'd have to pull them out of the quiver by the points. That would be like holding a sword by the sharp tip. Am I overthinking this or seeing it wrong?

This is one of the few skins I bought outright in the GS and I love it so much. Dyes beautifully, makes cute sounds, looks different.

I'm hyped for Cantha and the new maps. Exploration in GW is my favorite thing. Fishing, not hyped at all since fishing in every single game I've tried is boring as heck. However, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I know you didn't say anything about the registry, also that you mean well. I have read some doozies about how to fix this issue on Reddit, etc., some ridiculously complicated. I just think most of the fixes are more than what most people want to do. Try Windowed mode, not full screen. I also mean well !

This may be excessive (not meant critically to the OP). I couldn't run the game normally, but creating a new shortcut which launches the game in Windowed mode works perfectly. No uninstalling, reinstalling, messing with the registry, etc.

I didn't do DD the first time either, was on a break when this episode came out. I did it for the first time yesterday and both the story was marked complete and I got the "Return to..." achievement. So you don't have to do it twice.

Running it in Windowed mode is working for me, but ANet just said on Twitter that they're working on it and will have a fix soon.

Count me in as one who had intermittent problems today -- the first time I tried to log in after the patch, everything froze up. Then I was able to log in and play for quite a while. After taking a break I couldn't log in, tried four or five times then gave up.

I've been burned before with something similar. Some weapon where the notes before release implied you didn't need the previous version to get an upgraded one, but then surprise surprise, you did. So I'm keeping this thing until the Legendary Weapon is crafted and safely in my inventory.

There's ALWAYS competition for games. And I don't care about any of the other ones you listed. So, ANet, please aim for that February release!

No proof, but I don't think they will, as selling the pieces individually maximizes their profit and is the reason they separated out all the Foefire skins in the first place. The Foefire wraps-mantle-greaves DID appear in a package in 2017 and came back in 2018, but not since then.

There's a big group that does this every weekend, IIRC. Check the "Looking for Group" option, best of luck!
