  1. Could we please get another use for Essence of Luck (Legendary)? I have EVERYTHING that it can be spent on, have maxed out Magic Find, and am currently at 27 extra Essence of Luck (Legendary). Maybe allow us to buy an extra Divine Lucky Envelop per Legendary Luck? Or add an Artificer recipe to break it into Essence of Luck (Exotic)? Currently, it's a useless waste of space in my bank, and I'm sure it's the same to other veteran players like me.
  2. The Celestial Challenge ACTIVITY doesn't give credit for the Wizard's Vault "Complete an Activity" objective. Celestial Challenge is clearly labelled as an activity, so it should satisfy the WV objective.
  3. I'd love to have a second (or third or fourth etc) skill that I could set to auto-cast. But ANet will probably never do it, and I understand why. Additional auto-casts would be abused by "players" who want to bot/afk farm. So because of a tiny number of "players" who don't want to actually PLAY the game, this feature will almost certainly never be added.
  4. This is a bug that's been in the game for years (at least since LWS4). It drives me nuts that my back-pieces randomly vanish in Dragonfall all the time. And being stuck in the middle of an odd animation until I log off and back in again is irritating.
  5. I've seen this too. The dailies list for LWS3, 4 and IBS are also not showing up when they should.
  6. The Spirit Vestibule mini-dungeon daily can be rather difficult to navigate and complete. I found a really good map on a non-english website (I think it's French). Spirit Vestibule Map You need to get 3 attunements (Red, Blue, Green) from totems placed randomly. Then fight 3 champs that match the attunements. After that, a shaft of light appears. Interact with it, and you're teleported to the loot room. The map shows all possible locations for the totems, as well as lamps (safe to rest) and boss locations.
  7. STILL bugged after update. What the KITTEN is so hard about fixing this bug? Or disabling the daily from coming up in rotation so it doesn't affect anyonr? It's been a problem since EOD released.
  8. The first part- not returning to the exact spot- is a long term bug that has nothing to do with the Thousand Seas Pavillion pass. Occasionally, when returning to a map from an instance or competitive map, you will instead be moved to the map entrance. This has occasionally happened to me when returning from WvW, PvP, or the Mistlock Sanctuary. It also occasionally happens when switching characters. This is not a bug on ANet's side, it has to do with data interruption between your computer and the server. If the server doesn't receive the correct info from your computer, it defaults to the map entrance for your return trip instead of the exact last location. Unless you are physically at the server location, data loss can occasionally happen. Could ANet create a fix? Probably, but the problem is rare and the fix would likely require a major change in how map location data is handled.
  9. You need to submit a support ticket with ANet. Don't rely on the in-game reporting, ANet CAN'T respond to it directly due to how the system is set up. While duplicate account-bound item drops isn't supposed to happen, there can always be bugs that slip through. At one time, the game had an auto-fix that would give you 2 Black Lion keys if your 5th items was an account bound item you already had unlocked. I guess that went away at some point.
  10. ANet looks for patterns of transfers that indicate gold or item selling. They don't care if you help out a new player with gold and gear. If they did, I'd have been banned long ago for supporting my wife's crippling dye addiction!
  11. This is an older bug. It happens rarely, but sometimes Jhavi either doesn't show up or won't move when she does show up. Nothing to do with the update today, just coincidence that you saw it for the first time today.
  12. 1. Bounties wouldn't make sense in the existing EoD maps from a story viewpoint (although ANet could have tweaked the story to support bounties). 2. Again, races wouldn't make much sense in the context of EoD's story. And again, ANet could have tweaked the story to support races. 3. Adventures have proven to be unpopular content. I won't say that NO ONE likes them, but most players will only do an adventure the minimum amount to fulfill a needed achievement and then never go back. So ANet most likely decided not to spend resources developing unpopular content. 4. ANet has officially addressed this, although it was all the way back around HoT. Not enough players do guild content to justify the time to develop new content. Most guilds do missions a lot until they max their guild hall, then guild mission participation drops off to almost nothing. Further, adding content in expansion maps excluded any guild member that doesn't have the expansion. This would further reduce the number of players doing guild content, making the effort to develop new content even less worthwhile.
  13. It started for me after the March 31 update, everything worked fine for me before then. I eventually (2-3 minutes) get a character loaded, but the map (mini and main) is blacked and skills are missing.
  14. Salt Water Fishing is an achievement just for AP. Nothing is locked behind the achievement except Avid Salt Water Fishing (a no-AP repeatable achievement). It is intended to be a hard/time-consuming achievement to complete. That being said, there is a way to make the achievement a little easier. Find a fishing location with as few potential fish from open water as possible. The map that everyone seems to favor is Ember Bay (LWS2 Ep2). This cuts down on the number of undesirable fishing results, improving your chances of getting salt water fish. It's still going to be a time-consuming achievement to complete, but every little bit helps.
  15. I'm not sure what the absolute cheapest option is, but what works for me are Minor Potions of Grawl Slaying. They cost around 3.5 silver to make a batch of 5. Then salvage for research notes.
  16. Each race in GW2 has their own term for youths. Asura call them Progeny. Charr call them Cubs. Humans call them Children and Norns call them Kids. But the only youths I see in Cantha are Kids, not Children. Clearly the Norn have secretly stolen all the Canthan children and replaced them with Kids. Why? It would be the most legendary act of villainy in history, and the Norn care about nothing as much as building their legends!
  17. This will never happen for at least 2 reasons- it goes against the gem shop philosophy and it would be unfair to players who have bought multiple unlimited harvesting tool sets. All gem shop items are either cosmetic or convenience items that offer no substantial advantage in game play. Basic players (i.e. only bought base game and basic expansions) can achieve anything in the game that players who spend on the gem shop can achieve, it just might take a little longer. Nothing in the gem shop gives any players a substantial advantage over any other player. However, the advantage of buying unlimited harvesting tools that apply to all characters on a single account would cross the line from a convenience to a "must have" advantage, especially for players with large numbers of characters. There is also the issue of what to do about players who have already purchased multiple sets of gathering tools. This change would be tremendously unfair to them, and ANet is very unlikely to offer any sort of compensation or refund to those players who spent gems for an item that no longer matters.
  18. A bit of clarification: all ascended food recipes must be discovered, there are none available for sale. The GW2 wiki (linked by Incilpatus Cedo above) can show you what ingredients to combine to get the desired food effects.
  19. It also works in Lake Doric after gliding on a leyline.
  20. I'm of 2 minds on this idea. On one hand, I feel this change lessens the accomplishments of all the players who have completed the Dive Master as it currently is by giving all future players an easier time getting the same reward. I earned Dive Master the hard way, why should anyone else get it with less effort? Further, a lot of players have managed to get the achievement, so it falls in the "challenging but not unreasonably hard" category. On the other hand, this is a hard dive to get. I hated doing it, it took me quite a few tries (thank you kind mesmers!) I wouldn't mind getting an extra achievement reward for having completed it, as long as I don't have to do it AGAIN!
  21. Sandswept Isles is a really good location. Not only are there plenty of easy monsters to kill on land, you can find plenty of underwater mobs to kill if you want to work on aquatic Weapon Master achievements. Dragonfall is also a good option. There's almost always someone tagged up for events as well, so more karma! Plus plenty of potential loot. Domain of Kourna is a great option right now. Plenty of mobs to kill in the southern region, and it's easy to finish the Halloween achievement Ancient Grudge (Kill 100 awakened, NOT including Awakened Inquest). After Halloween, it's still a decent choice.
  22. Which fight are you referring to? You fight him twice in LWS3 and three times in PoF. In one of the fights, you CANNOT win (not saying which to avoid spoiling).
  23. I just tested it, and you are right. Identified gear cannot be placed into shared inventory slots, even though it is not soul/account bound. I've submitted an in game bug report, and would suggest you do the same. This is a quote of what I wrote in the bug support submission, if anyone wants to copy: (submitted under Inventory- Player Inventory)
