Valdhertz crypts (mini-dungeon) still bugged and is now a daily?

I have been sending a blocking progress report for months and still this isn't fixed.  Now they mess up the dailies and tie a daily behind it so we cannot achieve the daily completion.   I've been trying since reset and its still bugged and its 2 hours before reset again.  An Anet dev was in the dungeon earlier today and still nothing done to fix it.  This game is getting so frustrating.

I just managed to at least get the daily done. I was afking on an echowalds map while reading the forum and when I got back I found myself on a map about to close in 50ish minutes. So I tried my luck: yep, dungeon had reset and I could run it all by myself. Even though I finished it without a hitch, getting credit for every room, two of the minor chests wouldn't open and of course that meant no end chest. I guess the dungeon had some leftover bugging still going on from the hundreds of people who went through it today. The daily apparently only needed a minor chest.

So all's well that end well, I guess. For me. No such luck for countless others.

Just here since I was about to file a /bug report about it blocking progress.
This particular dungeon obviously needs to be taken out of rotation, but I hope we can also get a response on what will change so that if there is a similar problem in the future it won't block folks from getting their dailies. At least with old dailies, even though I primarily play PvE, I still could pop into WvW for something like Big Spender or Veteran if the PvE assortment had something bugged or which I just don't enjoy playing.

After 5 attempts due to npc event in last room breaking and not allowing it to reset, we formed a 50 man squad to force open new map instances. The only time it worked was when all 50 ppl + pugs finally decided to all stand outside the last puzzle room and let only 1 person touch the weapon puzzle. Participation was still bugged tho as I could only open 2 small chests but thankfully those counted. If the little chest didn't count then it'd likely be 99.99999% impossible since getting full credit for the Crypt is buggy with even 1 extra person, let alone 50+.

I used to do the Crypt often for Jade Runestone daily but I only ever entered when I was completely alone due to how buggy it's always been and eventually stopped doing it when people showing up to it became more common. Having this many people swarming it is terrible for the mini-dungeon's health.

As others have mentioned, I've submitted a bug report in the game about this mini-dungeon repeatedly. I've reported a lot of bugs repeatedly in the game. Not one of the bugs I have reported has been fixed. It's understandable that they won't give you an update for a bug report, but considering that they seem to be utterly useless and a waste of time to even type out, I don't know why that option exists inside the game.

At least here, in the forums, we will get a response when their weekend off is over. I don't know why this isn't considered an emergency, or why they don't have a team working weekends like the rest of the tech world. Wasting hours of players' time on the weekend right after a major release seems like a great way to inspire people to go and play other games that have support on the weekends. 

There are plenty of examples of long-standing bugs and unfinished content in games. I could make a hell of a list from vanilla WoW on that front (RIP Ironforge Airport)! The difference is that WoW wasn't forcing people to do the content in new expansions and refusing to fix the bugs, first. They also had support back then that was available every day.

Ended up getting lucky and finding a squad that had managed to trigger the dungeon, participated in killing the last two, found a small chest I could open and finished my daily.

I should be glad I got it done when so many people will be left stranded but just feel frustrated and annoyed - two things I don’t need to feel when playing a game.

I opened two minor chests the first time I tried, got no credit.

Just had a  amazing idea for daily rotations, let's say we get our batch of 4 and 1 of them is problematic.  What if we had 1 chance per day to sub/swap it with something new, so if we get these walled events we can cycle to a diff task and be able to finish.  Less bug/report spam more do it ourself.

And what happens if you roll another buged daily with that reroll?

Saw this in rotation for daily for me and I was naive enough to think "Oh...they added this to the daily rotation? Does that mean they fixed this mini-dungeon?"

I've been such a fool! Course this wasn't fixed. Same thing with how in the last LW release they had several events as part of a collection that lack any conveyance at all which means you have to use a guide. Looking at you 'Defeat the Purist champion' event chain! How are these events connected? There is nothing there to convey to the player that a champion enemy has spawned in some corner of the map.

We're just locking content, whether its dailies or collections behind broken content. Haven't forgotten about the amber elemental either! This will bug out too so you better hope you're on a map where it isn't. Well look at that, its the same map as what were talking about.

No wonder players don't do it. They don't know about it or it's bugged like the case is here with this daily.

Either remove the dungeon from the rotation or fix it. Pick whichever is easier Arenanet, please.

Can't wait for Trial of the Elders to be part of the daily rotation where if you get to the last room and you *don't* get a tag on any mobs or the boss you have to restart the whole thing again. THAT will be fun with a whole map trying to get it done 🙄

Used to do both of these in my daily runestone run but stopped running them when I was consistently running into issues.

If only they actually bothered to do something with the feedback, instead of blowing us off, then telling us to do their jobs for them! Seriously, look at the bold, underlined line in that response email to my boyfriend's support ticket. Do my job for me with an in-game bug report, since that has been so effective for a year and a half! 🤣

Grand Valdhertz mini dungeon is bugged and has been bugged since EoD launch. This daily cannot be done and I have spent nearly an hour trying to map hop to get it done. I want my 40 astral acclaim, 1 gold and essence of luck that you have made it impossible to get for finishing the last daily. This seriously needs to be removed from the list of possible dailies by hot fix.

Thank you for your answer and your hard work. Also, if you can look into the Weekly "Complete the Maw of Torment Meta" we would appreciate it,  because this meta is bugged since release. Maybe now is a good time to fix it so people can do the Weekly. Thank you very much!

Considering to complete dailies require 4 out of 4, any daily that is prone to bugging should not be in there.

There should not be a block possible for completing the daily for the final chest and your 10 points. 

A lot of people are sour ingame due to not being able to complete dailies yesterday, that puts them instantly against the new system.
The old system was redundant. You picked 3 from 12, now there is no picking. One bugged? You're out of luck.

Please fix it in a matter that brings the reliability back as we had it. 
As I mentioned before, if you had for example 4 out of 6, you can affort 1 bugging out... make it so that after 4 completed and daily chest, the remaining 2 are greyed out and you're good to go.

Saves stress and dissapointment with players, and reduces stress on Devs.

Agreed. It would be great also if a known bug wasn’t left untouched for a year and a half. Hopefully this will inspire some broader pick ups on these content bugs across the board

Okay, I'm back with an update as promised! Here's a link to the post, but the tl;dr is that we are going to remove Valdhertz from rotation in a game update planned for tomorrow tomorrow. Check the post below for details on exactly what that is going to look like, as well as another planned update to the Wizard's Vault objectives coming in a later build.
