Hardly meaningful. It's like replaying baldur's gate 5 times in a row. It doesn't mean the content has anything new to offer.

they said they will look closer to metas, so we can wait with adding more of such topics. We've been talking about replayability of PoF so many times already.

I have a few missing achievements I hunt down sometimes, but otherwise I finished PoF and went back to older maps. I really hope they revitalize it with better rewards for metas and bounties - I would gladly jump back since I love those new maps.

Currently working on funerary armor, which seems to be going at a snail's pace. I've harvested every flax node in Elon Riverlands five times and only have four collection lilies to show for it; and I'm worried access to some portions of the collection will be difficult to acquire once everyone finishes it.

There is a "secret" cave in the east of the map, where you can harvest 1 100% lili with every charakter/daySame goes for the wine in vabbi, there is one that gives you one/char/day in the vinefields in the east.

If players keep bringing it back, it must be important issue for them. A message to the devs I would say.

Also, devs said they are monitoring metas but in the same comment they said they have no actions planned at this point. Hardly satisfying answer.

Completed all maps and sotry on my main. Did all bounties in Crsytal Oasis. Working on the griffon collections and accumulationg gold. Started map completion of POF maps for my alts to get the new specs. Doing a map a day with my Revenant/Renegade. Not very happy yet with the skills and the bow. Sword/Sword and Hammer are better. Only one skill on the utility from the new spec so still no clue what I am doing. Also did a HP train with my ele to get the new spec. Still no idea how to play it properly. Die a lot more often with ele and revenant in the desert.

Yes, well, if meta's (like in HoT) interfere in anyway with what i wanna do in a PoF maps, i will never return.Then it will be a player numbers game, how many players want and do not want (map) meta's in PoF maps.Unless Anet figures out a way that pleases both sides.

As for what i am doing in PoF.I just got my Jackal do lvl3.Am going slow with the story, still in act 1Did most i could do in map 1, Crystal Oasis.Now i continue with doing the most i can do in Desert Highlands.

Years? I have have completed the elite and weapon specialty on all of my alts ( I have every profession except ele btw) . What else is there? Most of these achievements are account wide. Map completion (the POF maps rewards are junk). I get what you are saying but I am looking for long-term not a short-sided view due to love affair with current expac.

Late reply, but I'm still exploring maps, getting achievement points, talking to NPCs, absorbing the lore, finding safe spots and enjoying the views. I've only map completed Crystal Oasis, Desert Highlands, and Elon Riverlands on my main (only 15 more characters to go!). However I'm still doing my general gathering routines in Central Tyria and Deep Maguuma. I'm taking my time, and I'm certain I'll be working on this expansion for a long time to come.

Isn't the plan for the next LS season to start 2-3 months after PoF dropped? So if a casual, stop-and-smell-the-roses player can get the major checklist items done in that time frame that seems to be working as intended. Sadly, content locusts will always outstrip the devs' ability to make said content, unless it is artificially gated (i.e. you need 100 tokens, and can only get 1 token a day) and people almost universally hate things like that.

Personally, I've blitzed the story on one toon, gotten my griffon and unlocked most, though not all, mount masteries. So at this point, I'm working on side collections (side-eye at the funerary stuff) and some generic things (daily cheev, daily Teq, bouncing around maps on mounts, etc.)

I don't see where adding meta's to the map would impact players completing things already in place in PoF. I don't think anyone asking for more meta events are indicating that portions of the map should be walled behind events. Its more looking for events that draw people together to do. Meta events are like coming across a pick up game that is rewarding or in helping people to achieve things together as a public group challenge. The better you do as a mass the more rewarding it is for everyone. Hey, x event is up, let's go!

I don't do any POF, finished doing all of it besides some achievements and collections, and now I find no reason to play the maps, besides casino.

The lack of large scale meta events that need coordination ruins the expansion for me and its annoying cause I love everything else, I love my new class the maps and for the first time since the beginning I feel connected to the story. I understand some people feel the no map wide meta topic to be bullshit but personally I don't play MMO's for the single player experience, I play them to interact with others and do content that involves more than clicking a WP link for the next bounty, plus the "dynamic" static events they have now feel like the game is moving away from what it wanted to be.

What happened to "The world doesn't wait for you!" line that ANet kept trowing at us before the game came out?

Anyway, I enjoy other areas of the game like HoT, LWS maps and started doing a bit of WvW now and then.

Nothing I did about 80% of the PoF story and got bored of the area lack of good events loot, i goto PoF for HP's mainly i have Mirage/Weaver/Holosmith Maxed currently happy with Holosmith/Weaver pve/pvp mirage is ok. Ill prolly return mainly for hp's for my necro and gaurdian then never return unless something is added.

That is a good thing. The HP's are super easy and once you have done them a few times, you know their locations so with a new character you can speed unlock your elite spec in Oasis, Highlands, Riverlands and Desolation

I really liked Pof so... I played it 24/7 and finished everything in 1 week, which includes map comp for 1 toon, getting griffon and specs for 9 classes.At the moment, I'm getting HP's for my 2nd set of 9 classes.Will work on the minor achievements next.

I've gone back to central tyria for the time being. I don't find "deep and meaningful exploration, and reconnecting with the pure sense of discovery" enjoyable when I have to stop every 15 seconds or so to dispatch a mob of mobs. I think the maps are beautiful, but for me they are not conducive to exploration. I'm sure after a break I'll find interest in it again. I do enjoy the story, but I don't want to rush through it.

For me personally I think PoF was a great value, but I understand where people are coming from with going back to HoT metas, however I kinda look at that as a positive, I was somewhat worried they'd become obsolete. It also gives reason to play different areas. I've been doing bounty trains and stuff cuz they're fun but overall I don't see a huge reason to spend a lot of time in the desert.

I am looking forward to lws4. I'm also curious if the people struggling with hps played HoT or only have Core+PoF, I'm not sure I've met anyone without HoT and I can't imagine the game without HoT really.

I first played the story alone and got my mounts maxed quickly and elite specs on my main toons and at least started on my alts, that's just a matter of laziness/lack of interest on those toons. Then my friend visited from another state for a week so we could play together(bday present) and we had a blast. Slowly worked our way through story, she completed all five maps(she can't rly play much at her house but she's def an explorer) and she maxed her mounts, we also went back and did the end of her personal story on one alt and finished HoT on her other alt and did some metas and HoT MPs. Overall my experience was good.

From my perspective, whereas HoT might've gone overboard on meta maps, I'm a little disappointed PoF went so meta-less. Still, overall happy with the experience, think it's worth the value, I'll go back for collections and bounties and achievs but it's def lacking in certain areas so I understand people's gripes.

To sum things up though, gw2 as a whole is my fav game, idk what will draw me back to the desert in the far future aside from possible lws4 additions, in the meantime just slowly working on achievs and doing bounties.

I completed the story on my main, mapping as I went. I didn't think I'd have enough to save up for the griffon, but I got it and just finished the xp needed for it. Now I'm just mapping and doing more stories on alts there. I might try to complete some of the collections in the future, but that novelty is wearing thin with me.
