  1. The sentence at the end of the video caught my attention. "They leap into battle instead of dodging." I'm wondering if that is just a thematic statement about how they fight frontline, or if there's actually a mechanic that replaces dodging (like how Mirage had a mechanic that replaced dodging.)
  2. That is a good way to approach the question. The mistlock observatory looping fall kind of dances around the question, but maybe another way to approach it is asking what is the point you can jump off from and with a stopwatch register the longest fall until you go splat? (or splash)
  3. I'm glad to see the Ranger bug fixes incoming. Thank you for that! On the downside though is what's missing. I keep hoping that in one of these patches we'll see Coalescence of Ruin fixed. Ever since October 2019 this skill hasn't worked correctly. It skips right over foes in melee range, sometimes goes in a different direction from where it was targeted, and slight irregularities in terrain can make it do no damage at all. Dev team please fix CoR!
  4. I was expecting an EoD-themed lounge pass to be part of a deluxe bundle. When the bundles were announced and we saw that there was no lounge pass in one of them, I was surprised. I would have purchased one of the higher bundles if they had included a new lounge pass. (I've collected all the lounge passes and like using them all.)
  5. So if all my characters are level 80, and I'm not planning to purchase an additional character slot, what's the recommended way to deal with the level-80 boost that's stuck in the shared inventory slot?
  6. I've really been trying to give the change to SS the benefit of the doubt and have been thoroughly testing it in PvE under a range of circumstances. I've come to the same conclusion that has been stated above and in other threads that the change was not a good one, and the skill is simply too weak now considering its cost. Not only is it weak, but it just seems less fun to play/use right now (I know that's intangible, but it's my assessment.) Definitely something needs to be done with SS. Whether it's the idea above, reducing the energy cost, or making the ICD 1/4 second instead of 1 second. The skill is just not in a good place right now.
  7. I could see a report leeching option get abused too by people just wanting to troll. Or if you infrequently have to deal with a real-life issue for a couple minutes and temporarily AFK, even if you're only away for a few minutes there will be those vindictive types that will report you. (Potentially causing the GMs to spend extra cycles investigating the report.)
  8. Would love to see a way to customize our profile in the forums to turn that off without needing to run a 3rd party tool to block it.
  9. Thank you balance team for taking the time to read and react to the feedback. That is appreciated! I think you're making some needed changes and heading in the right direction. The one that still sticks out to me as needing discussion is the ICD for Soulcleave's Summit. 1 s ICD is too much, and really ruins the fun/flavor/effectiveness of the skill, especially considering its high cost. Please consider reducing the ICD, or possibly make the ICD not apply to the Renegade that cast it.
  10. Great post Janitsu. I think you've summarized well why the proposed change to Soulcleave's Summit is not a good way to approach things. If SS needed a tone-down for groups, at least the ICD shouldn't be applied to the casting Renegade. If the over-nerf of SS rolls into production as proposed, they really need to consider reducing the energy cost (both initial and upkeep) since the skill will be significantly weaker.
  11. The behavior where the champs get stuck and the event stalls is a bug. (Some discussion about it over in the bugs forum.) I've had the bug happen and had a stalled event, but I've also been through successful events. Sounds like you've had a streak of bad luck hitting that bug.
  12. Just had the same happen - the champions were clashing, we were depleting the CC bar, and then the shield around them seemed to disappear however they kept "clashing" and the event stalled. We could go no farther and eventually we just had to quit.
  13. Agreed - if the change to Soulcleave's Summit is necessary to tone down team usage, I'd propose that it is overnerf for the casting renegade. This really needs to be no limit on the life steal effect for the renegade who cast Soulcleave's Summit.
  14. Or just put some kind of visual on the cooldown time on the bounty board. That way if you're standing at the board you can tell if the bounty is a few minutes until it's ready or a long time yet. That way if it's close, you might wait - but if it's a long time yet you can go do other things and come back later.
  15. Agreed. Crafting level should have been an account thing rather than a character thing from the beginning. The crafting license limit per character is a pretty weak mechanic in my opinion.
  16. I'd simply like to have a way (maybe a gem store item?) to have all my home nodes harvested instantly. So I'd go into my home instance, talk to my new NPC service, and instantly have all the items added to my inventory. I know that probably sounds lazy, but after having walked the same home path harvesting path nearly every day for many many months, I'm ready for some time savings.
  17. Agreed this seems low priority since the option is already in the Icebrood Saga tome. But that said, I'm all for making the fast transport options in the VIP Lounges better. Not only add EoTN, but Tarir and Amnoon too.
  18. I'll admit my top three aren't that ambitious - they're just things I've been hoping for: Renegade gaining access to passive 25% movement speed increase apart from runesCoR remove ground-targeting and hitting reliably like it did prior to October 2019A new VIP lounge with a Cantha theme as part of a deluxe version of the expansion along with a lounge tome to store passes in
  19. Coming from GW1 and the frustrations of P2P trading, the chat spam, the scams, and always feeling like I wasn't getting a good deal, I absolutely loved that GW2 implemented the Trading Post.
  20. My preference would be that after you finish the achievement, that additional otters would be sellable to a merchant, or else have them stop dropping as loot.
  21. Yeah, it's one of the frustrations of the English language. Using "they" for a singular pronoun is a common practice, even though it may not be technically/grammatically correct. Considering how so many new words get added to English every year just through common usage, it makes me wish we could collectively invent an acceptable singular gender-neutral pronoun, get it commonly used, and get it adopted into the language.
  22. Honestly the whole contested WP idea needs to go. It doesn't add any immersion or value, and only seems to introduce frustration.
  23. Thank you, Sylvanna - that helped me get through it successfully!
  24. Agreed visuals/appearance and stats should not be tied together. For example if I wanted my Otter appearance, but wanted to keep the functionality of my old +Gold from monsters enrichment, I think that should be an option.
