  1. There's also the fact that most of the mounts that the Commander gets aren't from army trainers, but farmers. They're not war raptors, but riding raptors, etc. The exceptions here being the four "exotic" mounts - griffon, rollerbeetle, warclaw, and skyscale. What you mention would hold greater sway over the Cavalier's raptors, or the Awakened's wurms and Beastmarshal's mounted troops. But not necessarily for the Commander's mounts. There's kind of a disparity here between the mounts origin and how they behave. Sure you get them from a farmer but they also have an attack right from the get-go which doesn't seem right to me if they are only meant for transportation. For the raptor it actually kinda makes sense considering it's a natural predator but it doesn't make much sense when you consider something like a Springer which eats carrots and is essentially an animal of prey, or a Skimmer that doesn't exactly seem like a predator either.
  2. Yet one exception is really significant here. The trained warhorse, the one that was used in battle, was often a stallion with all their parts attached for several reasons. For one, it's beneficial that a warhorse has access to high levels of testosterone in order to get them to charge a line of soldiers. Secondly, a horse is a social animal, and their herds have an alpha male. Having that alpha male leading the charge makes the others more likely to follow their lead. Also a famous war stallion was worth its weight in gold as a sire. Warhorses weren't meant to be used for transportation because they were temperamental, and were often "adrenaline junkies". You could say that all of the commanders mounts are also combat mounts.Ofc there is also the fact that horse psychology can't be directly applied to raptors, griffins, etc.
  3. I just straight up destroy these on arrival now, so much easier to deal with them that way.
  4. I think even that is old news at this point. They stated that in the middle of Season 4 which means it was quite a while back. So if they intend to make an expansion after Season 5, they may have already started initial development on that.
  5. I think Hammer 3 should be a cone-shaped attack with 750 range and 60 degree angle. Or maybe just shoot more than 1 chain in a cone-shaped pattern as 1200 range and have the angle at 30 degrees or so. The immobilize could be a bit longer too.I basically like what the skill does, it just needs a lot more reliability.
  6. Loading screens are like busses. There's always another one. Hate not the loading screen.
  7. I thought that game only had payers, and no players. :sunglasses:
  8. Why would you even need to know every minor character that shows up in the story? As long as you know the major ones, you're good to go.
  9. I could easily imagine Rangers having Minions. Packs of small animals that don't warrant an individual pet, or just your regular pets working as a pack.Summon Lemmings should totally be a skill. Vice versa you could easily give Necromancers a pet, turn the shroud into your pet management mechanic and LF becoming your pet health. Spirit Weapons could easily be turned into Phantasmal Weapons for Mesmer. Illusionary Weaponry is an iconic skill from GW1.
  10. I feel like norn warrior belongs there too..
  11. Name 2 serious specs weaker than necro. At what? There's no one stronger than a necro when it comes to damage carry builds. Necro is not a sidenoding class, if that's what you're getting at, and trying to play it as one will only lead to disappointments. I mean beating warriors is easy enough but anything that relies on evasion as its primary method of avoiding damage will rip you another one pretty fast.
  12. It's really not that bad. Not super-viable for high tiers obviously but it's a fun teamfighter spec until like high gold to low platinum levels of play. This is not PvE. Necro is middle of the pack.
  13. You could distinguish between them by NOT having spears belong to the Polearms weapon type.Because while you can throw a spear, throwing something like a billhook seems like a dumb idea.
  14. Whoever designed the SAB chair apparently didn't get the memo.Seriously though, thanks for sharing the dev PoV on the topic. It is appreciated.
  15. It's not an achievable grind for bad players though. Did you even read? This is a new title, not a replacement for 'God of Match Manipulation'. any PvP title with the word "god" in it shouldn't be grind-able period. Rename the title and Remove the gizmo Idea and I can feel better about supporting this idea.We just name it Grinder of Conquest instead then. And the Gizmo could be of an Ascended variety, and far less fancy than the current Legendary ones. Edit: Why do people get so bloody worked up over minor details like the word "God" in a title? A bit it silly if you ask me.
  16. More important than genre to me is the style of the game they were to go for. If they tried to make something "serious" with great storytelling, I'd probably give that product a pass. But if they went for light storytelling, good humor, pop-culture references and fun mechanics, I'd probably pick up that product.
  17. Contrary to apparently everyone else here, I think it is entirely plausible. What seems reasonable to us internet-generation left-wing green-activist lore hippies is unreasonable idiocy to those far-right capitalist conservatives. Not to mention the Communist Party.Point is there are as many opinions as there are people, and Tyrian people seem very much too homogenous in their opinions on what should've been done. On the other hand, the Pact may just consist of likeminded people. So while I think it's possible that the Pact fractures, I find it more likely that some other formerly friendly party/group turns antagonistic towards the Commander and Gang. Like the Blood Legion, or the Consortium, or any other group that has expressed differing views to how we handle things.
  18. I always thought whips are kind of a joke as a weapon. It would do nothing against heavy armor except maybe scrape the paint a bit. Magic though, makes things different. I was thinking more along the lines of Javelins.
  19. I bet it's still coming. They couldn't do revenant twice in a row now, could they? With the exception of the DE, all of the major re-hauls have been to HoT Elite Specs, and to Core stuff. In the case of DE, the update was rather mandatory because the spec was just broken bad. Or maybe they just had a good idea and ran with it. In any case despite its issues Renegade, with all associated components, is still a rather well working ESpec for its intended purpose, and is not high on the priority list because of that. Fact is that while Renegade may be clunky, and some parts of the profession don't quite work, it still has 2 builds in the raid meta. Now, two of the HoT ESpecs still have major issues, namely DH and Tempest. Chronomancer and Scrapper are still missing their trade-offs. I'm pretty sure they will want to adjust Daredevil and Druid that got major changes in the last patch. I wouldn't expect any rehauls to Renegade before those are done but after they are done, in all likelihood Renegade is next. Or atleast, that's my hope and reasoning.
  20. I agree with this. Asura with their technological Deus Ex Machina is bloody annoying. It's great that they reduced it in PoF/Season 4 compared to Season 3 but there's still too much. Could do with a season where Taimi is actually on the sidelines due to her sickness and Gorrik goes with her.
  21. There was no sonic boom so she didn't even break the sound barrier. So no Mach 3 either.
  22. I would probably do something along these lines:http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vlAQJAVmnXMvNSum7JRZzVlst5rSY3cWJ4beskFUl6PETxXUtC+gSINAOgEA-jJh/gAAXAAv9HEfAAdlBAAReasoning - Condi build obviously. If you go Power, you may as well play Herald. Mainly intended for teamfighting with Shortbow and Renegade Spirits, sustain coming from mobility of Staff/Shiro. Decent point to point mobility so you can do +1's as well even if condi is a bit inefficient for that. Boon rip from Corruption and some re-sustainability from Retribution which also gives you Weakness uptime on your CC's.
  23. Seems unlikely to me for one specific reason: How can a mere mortal possibly affect what is quite literally the creation of existence? Exactly. I think the Mists are perfectly capable of fixing themselves. It is the Chaos of Creation, 1 ED is not gonna bring down the Mists. I think the only reason why everyone was panicking about Kralk was because he was destroying our particular corner of it.
