That was kind of my point. Anet would need to monetize something else if transmutation were free and then we'd get the same complaints about why that thing should then be free.

Is legendary gear really a massive long-term goal for most players? Also, if you ditch transmutation charges, then where would you recoup the lost cost/profit from those? Anet would have to find other means to make up that difference.

That was me, but it was arguing against an inflatable t-rex costume because I didn't recall any t-rex in GW2. It had nothing to do with visual aesthetics.

No. They have no concept.

There are no t-rex in GW2. This would not fit in.

Fun is relative. Back when these complaints about the quest came out, there were quite a few players/posters who said that they really enjoyed the task.

Must be referring to Dragonfall. Was helping a guildie with their skyscale quest last night and saw some map chat where people were complaining about players on the map not helping with events or meta.

In what content? I see them everywhere in OWPvE. Don't seem to be any more or less than what I usually see.

Anet never discloses when items may cycle back into gem store or BLC rotations. If it were a BLC item, it may become available for statuettes at some point. You just need to keep logging in and checking -- which is the entire point. 😉

Over in SW:ToR, they released their "expansion" 7.0 after having it on a PTS and pretty much all of the complaints that followed were "the devs didn't listen to us". Can't believe that it would be any different here. /shrug

Public test server doesn't always get the players what they want. See SWToR and 7.0 update as a prime example.

China GW2 is on a completely separate system.
