hmm personally i have more black lion kits than i can use (7/8+ stacks) i use them to extract runes/sigils worth some money and sell that separately (and get ecto for the salvage). not much in terms of profit but it slows the kits building up

DPS difference - this is very difficult to resolve, you can give new players berserker/viper, but they'll end up dying over and over in open world before they can figure out dodging/traits/skill priority etc. Matchmaker - it would need to be a clever one that allows for multiple/mix of roles by one person, but yes having one is better than none. it doesnt replace the lfg, just works alongside it.

2. is do-able if you all focus on one sled only, and there arent too many afk nearby it's the sled defender one that's impossible at the moment, even with low afk numbers

so i think eod has its problems, DE, turtle strike, bugs, incomplete/messy bits and pieces but i want to point out the poll looks worse than it actually is the first 3 can be merged into "EoD is better than pof/Hot" = 37% compared to "EoD is the worst" = 55% and "all 3 are equal" = 8% still more negative than positive, but it could be biased because people mostly come to forums when they have an issue with the game (i never used forums until EoD myself) plus hot/pof had years of bug fixes, polish and LW backing them up a better way to word the poll maybe is "what's your favorite expansion" and list the 3, see which gets least votes

spvp/wvw/fractal you can still do as you are, no changes but ele isnt popular in pve (fractal, strikes etc.) these days the only value eod seems to offer you is a story + sight seeing in 4 big maps (whether that's worth it up to you, probably ~30hrs content minimum if you grind/repeat stuff)

my feeling is you'll struggle to get 60 on minimum settings with no other players around... this sounds close to what you have: my recommendation is get geforce now and play on a tv or something...

hmm i have the complete opposite opinion cant wait to play lws1 (balance patch im skeptical about given anet's track record. new expansion im neutral on cuz too much can happen and derail/delay that)

Agreed, this is fantastic news. For the last 7/8 years ive never really felt connected with all the characters, very looking forward to meeting them for the first time.

yes, from 3 years of metas you can spam 1 and win with

this DE has created a culture where the "above average" will try to join prep 2 hrs in advance (my personal experience is about 80% success rate) leaving a lower skilled population for the 1hr before meta groups (success rate is about 0%, last week + today 4 runs all fail at 10-20%)

it's under each profession in the first post + they nerfed tormenting runes personally i find eod mobs to be tankier & lower damage than rest of the game, +the jade bot buffs the sustain nerf isnt as noticeable there

never tried solo cuz if you pop a mentor tag people usually show up they nerfed all sustain recently (28th feb) so maybe that plays a part?

i dont like fishing either, but it's not that bad since you can skip it (almost) entirely unless you want the fishing achievements, you can get the all spec collections in a few hrs (3-4) of fishing

a legendary weapon that can take the form of every other weapon would be nice (functionally as a mace/shield etc. not cosmetic, can look like the lv1 equips for all i care) (anet'll never do it but i would make that thing day 1, miles better than the aurene reskins)

as nice as some of these sound, we probably arent getting any of them

so ALL my collections are at 12/14 now (missing story & the mystic forge one) if this doesn't change, i MIGHT do the story with engi and mesmer (for achieves too), but definitely not the others most of the skins arent anything special and takes way too long, considering you can craft/stat change most ascended for less than 40g

narrative-wise i always thought open world (in general), "you" are a lowly pleb, a foot soldier in the pact. dragon's stand for example, i dont remember you ever get called commander in open world, could be wrong.

were these 7/8 done by joining groups 2hr in advance or 1hr?

idk about the fish food, but other ascended food are account bound, cant put account bound stuff in guild storage

sounds like loot table is broken, rather than reducing the chance to catch masterwork to give to legend/ascended, it drops exotic chance with maxed fishing power (boat got from 0 to99 in the process), took me like an hr to get exotic dragonet, at which point i got about 5-7 legen/ascended

i'm curious... what's your success rate doing this? not asking for roles makes your group a lottery of whether you get enough support or not then asking afterwards for people to support, when they cant anyway without the proper gear... if they had the gear they probably wouldnt need asking

in short, no when you get to DE by following the story, you get an eligible for achievement, for that you can just fail the DE meta once and then carry on with the story do it before they fix it i guess
