  1. Vengeance is one of your downed skills. It has a chance to fully revive you if you kill a mob, otherwise you get fully defeated. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vengeance_(skill)
  2. The point of fishing is that people just wouldn't stop asking for fishing to be added.
  3. You're having trouble with Warrior in the OPEN WORLD? I'm sorry but this class has heals coming out of its ears and it's second only to Necro in survivability. Two traits that heal on Might application, healing shouts (you could have an entire utility bar filled with healing skills), heal on burst, passive stance that prevents damage for a time... I could go on. I can absolutely see how Warrior would be bad in competitive modes but the open world? Really?
  4. Sure but that would nullify the prestige of owning such an item which some people care about a lot. Perhaps not ideal. I've always thought that the clear solution in that respect is through the gating of specific currency that's much more abundant in higher-difficulty content but still available in minuscule amounts in other types of content. That way, a high-level g4m3r would be able to buy the reward within a couple of weeks while a low-level pleb (like me) could reasonably achieve that within a number of months. We wouldn't have the situation that we currently have with raid rewards (or even the upgraded Boneskinner weapons... I'd like to have the staff personally but I'm not prepared to suffer repeated abuse and humiliation in strikes to get it). But that's somewhat tangential to the topic at hand so I'll just go away now.
  5. No thanks, I don't want to see any more rewards I'm never going to be able to get.
  6. Energy Meld just seems like a waste of a skill to me (when untraited at least). Just another button to press in order to offset the dodge limitation. Could have easily rolled it into the dodge limitation itself by making the dodge consume, I dunno, only 90% of your endurance or something? Or rework it so that it's actually fun to use and has some interesting effect other than flat endurance gain.
  7. Did it twice recently, both times there were other people (two and three others, I think). People do it because of the Return achievement, I suppose. Also, nice rant and all but it has almost entirely nothing to do with the OP.
  8. Second point aside, yeah, I'm fairly sure it's bugged. I've been doing it repeatedly for the mastery point and the meta "successfully" ends after you tether the Construct for the first time. Afterwards, the Construct remains alive and keeps walking towards the fort where it just stands around dealing minor damage. Killing it (which usually takes quite a while) gives no reward whatsoever.
  9. They didn't promise anything for these modes at EoD launch and that's exactly what was delivered. What do you do until then? Play it as it currently is or, and hear me out here, play something else. There are OTHER GAMES!
  10. Hello, exceedingly bad player here, managed not to die in Fahranur at all at least on two of my attempts. Not sure what you're doing, the swarms are tough but manageable.
  11. As I'd stopped spending tens of hours on the LW maps sometime in the middle of 3 and would then just do the story, map complete, do some nearby stuff and skedaddle, there have been quite a few new things that were out of the way or otherwise unappealing that I'd had to do and some of it annoyed me, some of it surprised me, and some of it even entertained me (gosh, positivity on the forums, what is the world coming to?). For instance: - I never knew there was a race in Jahai Bluffs in the middle of that Branded-infested palace that nobody in their right mind would ever return to after completing the map. Not the worst race but so easy to miss! - Again in Jahai, the Death-Branded Shatterer meta is something I'd never done because I was never there at the right time for it. - The light puzzles in Bjora Marches... I knew that they existed but I never tried them because I just assumed they'd be some obtuse nonsense I'd have to constantly alt-tab from to check the wiki. Surprisingly, they're not! They tend to be fairly easy (if you have a skyscale, at least... might be a pain without one) and therefore don't really require much wiki consulting other than finding the starting point. - Chalice of Tears is still awful.
  12. Geez, it's the Caladbolg whining all over again. Ironically, the same answer I gave back then also applies: "The player's ego is being massaged quite enough already, don't you think?"
  13. The achievement page specifically suggests crabs near Judgment Rock, try there and see if you have any luck.
  14. Spiral shells are tier 3 trash IIRC so the mobs have to be level 61-80. Find some crabs in higher level areas. Wiki suggests the area around Judgment Rock https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Judgment_Rock
  15. Just to check, they're not in your material storage either? Mats get sent to material storage when you press the icon to send them there. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Material_storage
  16. Vindicator is now more Warrior than Warrior and it's heaps of fun (until it gets nerfed, probably) so might want to try that.
  17. You can find any skin in the game by browsing your Wardrobe (available from the bank screen).
  18. I think it's pretty amazing that you apparently assume that nobody plays that way ALL THE TIME. Well I do, for instance. I click on all my skills and the attempts to use the keyboard more caused me nothing but grief as my coordination is so bad, I constantly press the wrong keys and end up having to look at the keyboard to make sure, which does wonders for my combat performance. I only use the keyboard for movement (and even that with arrows, not WASD, because once again, constantly pressing the wrong keys is an issue). I also actively avoid ground-targeted skills because they're very slow to target properly when using the mouse regardless of the settings. People like me play this game.
  19. Not usually a complainer but geez. After many years of building a casual-friendly, solo-friendly reputation, this is the exact wrong move that will only really hurt casual players like myself. Because being able to survive PvE without acing the combat was such a big problem for the game.
  20. Same, actually. I'm a professional translator and I'm still struggling to remember which one is which on the fly. Speaking of "fly", we use the same word for dragonflies and damselflies as well.
  21. ...till the Black Lion chest finally rotates! 😁
  22. Well, it's nice that you're excited either way, I suppose.
