Same issue - just started today -worked fine yesterday. Tried deleting both cache files in %temp% but did not fix issue. 

frustrating as I would like to make some purchases.

same, game immediately crashes after gem store opening

tried to changing IP, fully disabling antivirus and other protection, clearing game cache, using different characters, but nothing helps...

This happened to me today, I found a work around in another thread.

Go to the Black Lion merchant in the cities, it will open the window up with the TP not the gem store.

Then in the search box add "I am Evon Gnashblade"

 

Edit on this "fix" it worked for the time I was logged in, but after logging out and back in few hours later it back to crashing me.

I have the same issue as er today - yesterday i was browsing fine.

All the workarounds and fixes also wont work for me.

A shame, i really wanted to buy a banktab, but i will not do it full price out of spite now 😕
 

Edit: The workaround by caveslug.5934 worked - so i can give them my gems which i probably shouldn´t

I fixed it!

 

I opened the trading post using a npc and then I typed "I am Evon Gnashblade" in the search bar. This switched the trading post to compact view and after that I was able to use the gem store. Afterwords I typed "I am Evon Gnashblade" back into the search bar and switched the trading post back to normal.

I'm having the same problem here and it started yesterday a few hours after reset (Like 4 hours after it). The rest of the day I was able to use the BLTP without any problems. But the problem is with the gem tab. I can open the BLTP using the npcs, but if I select the gem tab... insta crash. Tried everything from clearing cache to repair the game... nothing seems to change/help. So, ANET, how can I fix this problem and spend my gems? xD

Good morning all, I want to let you know that we've been working on this and give you what update I can. This is a really weird bug without a single obvious cause, so it's been more complicated than "find the broken part and fix or remove it". People from multiple teams are working to figure out what's going on. 

In the meantime, I'm sorry this is still ongoing and I'll try to share another update when I'm able. I have linked this thread for the people working on the issue so they've been looking through the information you've given here along with the reports you've sent through the game client. Thank you for all of those, and of course for your patience.

Hi Guys,

 

Since about 3 days ago i'm experiencing crashes every time i open up the gem store. Game runs normal, smooth without problems. I can use the trading market to sell and purchase items but once i open the gem store my game completely crashes. From the crash log it clearly states that it's got some problem with Arc DPS. 

 

I removed ArcDPS from my files but for some reason it keeps re-appearing in my game files. 

 

Anyone else have this problem? 
How do i remove ArcDPS from my game files permanently? (or do i maybe need to update ArcDPS?)

On the back of my previous report a couple of days ago. I did a client repair, cleared out the various temp files, etc and based on something I read elsewhere, I set my browser default back to Edge (instead of the Firefox its been all along).

Even tho I did those things, I didn't log back into the game till the next day and all of a sudden, no more crashes. So it stopped just as strangely as it started.

That of course doesn't mean what I did actually made any difference, so who knows.

Error still persists today with DX9 and DX11 using latest 12/1 Nvidia drivers as well.

Doing this lets me use the Gem Store until I restart the game.
