Removing rewards is part of removing content. With fractals de-emphasized even the addition of new strikes with EoD represents a net loss of rewarding group instanced content.

If they really care about state of Mystic Coins, they need to make daily login rewards only obtainable for players who at least have PoF or HoT. There are tons of players who abused Twitch Prime reward, and got lots of alt accounts with that Heroic Edition. I don't think that completely removing MC drop from cms is a solution for this issue, instead only the final boss can drop 0-3 Mystic Coins or 1 MC for making it consistent.

Anet knows strikes are terrible content. Strikes are inspired by trials in final fantasy xiv. drop in to one boss, very lazy stuff. Rather than have the content stand on it's own merit, they want to kill old content to encourage newer content. Very terrible design and im very disappointed.

Currently there are not enough ectos sinks and too many mystic coin sinks. So what is anets logic, make a bigger mystic coin sink and smaller ecto sink.  This is incompetence.

My list of better solutions. Keep the the weekly 10 coin limit to fractals, remove drop coin drop from mini cm bosses, can only drop from final bosses. Increase ecto cost of clovers not coin. Remove extra gold from money wings in raids, instead reward 1 coin per encounter. Rotate the 4 hot wings and the 3 pof wings seperately for the two "coin" wings.  Add a coin to IBS weekly strike chest if all echos are active.

These are better solutions to solve the proplem with fractal cm being too good compare to other content.

If anything the new system will make mystic coins price go even higher. People who do all content will consume 50 mystic coins a week. These can not be earned via ingame activities (7 for naked man, 6 for wvw, 5 for login chest, 10 from new strike rewards), so you will rely on tp which will cause a major shortage.

I keep hearing this, but I haven't seen anyone show the numbers on it.  The Integrated Fractal Matrix alone is worth 2 gold when converted to keys, or 2.5-3 gold if used for infusions or skins.

That's not what I quoted.  People were saying it gives more gold, period.  That chart you linked shows that no, overall the CMs give more total gold.  The Gold/hour is higher on T4 because it is faster to do them, which is also a near meaningless metric given that they're daily and account bound.

-CMs Takes more time.

-Takes more effort.

-Profit/hr is lower than a daily T4.

 

And it will be lower profit once they remove MCs.

That list isn't even showing the profit/hr of Fractal 42 farm.

We hate people who care the most and put a lot of effort into completing "challenging" content in this game. Everything in the past 2 years points to Anet making the game easier and opened to more casual audience. No big mystery here.

Every day, upon login, one login rewards bonus chest will appear on the right side of the screen above the minimap. Clicking on it will show the current progress on the schedule and allow players to claim the current reward. The login rewards follow a specific cycle where each day you log in, you get another reward. The cycle repeats after 28 claimed rewards. Days are accumulative, so missing a day will not matter; you simply progress a day each day you login.

The reward can be claimed on any character, regardless of which one first logged in. If the player goes off-line without collecting their reward, it will still be waiting for them upon reloading the game, even if it is the following day; all that is required to receive a chest is to be online during that day, and the reward for that will wait until it is claimed.

This feature is locked for free accounts.

Yeah and Gw2-"casuals" here in the forum seem to have the mission to badmouth any content that requires more than just 1 1 1 press and equate it with toxisity because they can't make their own groups ...
It's not like the "hardcore" content in gw2 makes up the smallest part and they have like 90% of the game for themselves.

The greatest game community there is, yep ^^.

He was talking about limiting the rewards to paid HoT and PoF accounts, but the rewards are already limited to paid accounts.

Since they are limited to paid accounts, why would Anet limit them further? People buying more paid accounts to get more login rewards is in their monetary favor.

There are paid core accounts aswell those are the ones the person you respond to want gone.

I have a friend who pumped all the twitch prime accounts from friends and has now 10+ of these heroic accounts ...

You can not have such a source of mystic coins, say that cm's have brought the least mc into the game BUT  "spread the love" by taking away ALL the love from CM's.
It just doesn't make sense, whether you play said cm's or not, but people swallow it.

Oh removing the coins from CMs makes 0 sense. Their wording is just cover to nerf CM rewards to funnel people into EoD strikes.

 

You know what that also is? Them driving people with multiple paid accounts to buy EoD for those accounts so that they can get those weekly MCs from EoD strikes on each account.
